I LOVE the dress she chose but her friends were right about how that mermaid dress fit her! Her figure was stunning with the tight dress and flare at the bottom!
the best part about that custom dress is that it has a bit of a dropped waist which the first dress was in desperate need of. she's already a bit short in the torso and a high-waisted skirt just makes her torso look even shorter. this gives her better proportions, a better shape, and honestly the lace just didn't suit her.
Yeah, I'm not sure who the first dress would have flattered. Maybe it's meant for an incredibly petite, short and thin woman?
I agree 100%! She’s too short (and short-waisted, like me on both counts) to wear a ballgown that fits right at the waist. The dropped waistline is much more flattering. I would also blend the skirt in with the bodice, to have a continuous line, rather than looking like a dirndl skirt.

A note to any anti-LGBTQ watchers of this episode. I don't think anyone can watch this and doubt that Precious was born to be a woman. All that happened is that she was given the wrong body parts at birth. I bet even before transition, her testosterone would have been very low and progesterone high. She knew from a very young age that something was mixed up. NO ONE could say this was just a choice, no one goes through the pain she must have growing up if they aren't 100% sure. Precious and Miles are gorgeous together and the acceptance of all involved is a joy to behold! I'm glad Miles chose to not be there. Thank you SNTTD for showing ALL sorts of couples!

They might be gay, and if so, good for them! Either way, they were absolutely perfect in the way they helped her. They didn't say specific negative things about the dress, because they respected that she might decide to get it, and didn't want her to be bothered later by what they said.
They know and love her, so they knew she tends to fall in love with everything beautiful, even if it is not ideal for her. They know her style, and were honest when it wasn't right for her. They patiently encouraged her to keep looking until she found the perfect dress for her.
They didn't bicker, say negative things about how she looked, or show disrespect towards the opinions of others. They complimented her body and curves, and told her she was beautiful. They would be welcome to help me choose a dress any time!
