one of my friends has a soundlink mini 2 and i was comparing it to myJBL Charge 2+ and the Bose was a lot quieter. so much so that i asked him if it went any louder. 100% on the bose is about the same as 75/80% on the charge 2+!
I have the first soundlink mini and have been using it for many years. I’ve always been satisfied with the sound at low to moderate volumes. I do think it’s still one of the best at its size. It has impressive build quality (no plastic used) and industrial design, battery is still just as good. Bose makes reliable products that are easily designed to last for a decade unlike endless disposable electronics flooding the market. Apple should have bought Bose instead of Beats. Bose has competitive products - e.g. compact Bose S1 Pro has no equals (insane SPL) and their soundbars are superb.

I think Bose has made a big improvement with their new upcoming products from 2016. I never liked Bose products but last year they launched a newly developed soundbar - the Soundtouch 300 - and it sounds super awesome. The soundbar itself isn't even one meter wide but the sound it produces is coming 5 meters left and right besides from the soundbar, you even hear birds flying behind you. I don't know how they manage to do this, but now it is a pretty good job they did. Besides the fact that the Soundlink and Soundlink mini are completely flops, I take the brand much more serious now.

Actually, it's made of Kevlar (the Phantom), and the Bose, while nice in the mids and highs really has no low end... it's simply too small to have a low end... I want something that goes from at least 20hz to 20khz.

Bose hat definitv den besten klang. Voralledingen der Bass ist extrem differenziert und nie übertrieben. Die höhen sind auch besser als beim phantom, sie klingen nicht so hohl. Die features wissen auch zu überzeugen... für mich der beste lautsprecher und das schon seit 3 Jahren...

The devialet Phantomis just a super expensive piece of French junk! They try to use technical jargon and price to dazzle the listeners and critics into thinking that it's a great speaker. I listened to the mini version of this(Reactor)in an enclosed HiFi room in a dealer's shop and my first impression was not good;it sounded terrible for the price they were asking at almost £1000! My first impression on listening to my nephew's Bose SoundLink 1? My jaw dropped! Simply couldn't believe such an amazing HiFi quality sound coming from such a small speaker. Thanks for pointing out that the devialet is simply an emperor with no clothes on!
While I realize this is a parody there is some truth to the assertion that the Divialet is too heavy in the bass especially when place on the floor. There is in fact a measurable and audible broad peak centred at 50 hz.

Jose Ramón García la flip 4 no la tengo pero la EH probado tanto sola como con jbl connect+. la verdad es muy buena para su tamaño y la recomiendo.
