To those who haven't finished the series, the song is essential to the end as it is like the lullaby to a baby or the music in the nursery that binds people.
This might be the best moment in the series, which is already masterful btw, the reveal alongside the visuals and the strong song and vocals, it gave me goosebumps to finish the first episode.
Momona did a great job voicing Onari in this mini series! I think she should definitely do more animated stuff! I just love listening to her voice for some reason!
@@kennethsatria6607 According to Gaijin Goombah's video on this movie, the chants are meant to mimic the sound of hitting taiko drums (the exact same drum that Naridon is using)
I cried so fucking much during the end of the first episode, the music is absolutely incredible. It's such a shame this is such an underrated show.
I KNOW this movie, and yes I know it’s technically a limited series but it might as well be a movie, was SO GOOD.
This show made me cry but this part gave me chills at the reveal
Onari is lucky to have Naridon for a father.
Definitely ♥️
This is one of the best scene ever! The music and animation is so good!
Naridon: *Watches as the clouds fill with other storm gods and holds Onari up high* THIS IS ONARI! MY DAUGHTER! MY HEIR!
This show is so good. My daughter asked me if I wanted to watch Tv with her and she picked this series. Haven’t missed an episode without her ❤
It could totally work as a full animated series, just the yokai kids having adventures between the forest and human city

Not much I could find on folklore or tradition, but the director says its a dance from his childhood

わっしょい"Wasshoi"と言っています。
日本の祭りなどで使われる掛け声です。

@@joshthehollow5254 yeah and based on that im guessing the "wasshoi wasshoi" is the sound of lightning or thunder
