Hi, thanks for the video. I found it as I was searching for some answers to a problem I'm having. I had created a very similar diagram to the last diagram in your video. But in my case, the arrow that creates the loop (in your example, the one that goes back to the gateway from "Send Reminder to Customer") in my case I had made it to go back to the task before the gateway (what in your example would be the task "Task") , and I found this was creating an infinite loop. How is it different, making the arrow go back to the gateway instead of the preceding task, in terms of making the timer execute only one time Vs getting into an infinite loop? I don´t understand why it´s different, as there is only one token involved in both cases. Thanks a lot
Great Explanation sir, Thank you so much. I really like it and now my gateway related doubts almost cleared. Hope all good with you. expecting more videos on Camunda.
weak design case: the problem is that: when the process token will switch to the timer event - it won't be possible for the process to get the corellating message. So the waiting message will be lost forever for the process
Advice: better use recieve-tasks with non-interrupting timer boundary events for such timer-cases
Your comment is actually incorrect as each instance of the token arriving at the input of the Event Based gateway will reset it. I'd be happy to discuss this further over a video call with you
which bpmn 2.0 gateway (inclusive or event-based parallel gateway) is best suited for showing ATM operations like change pin, check balance and withdraw money
Hi. I have a complete process on the operation of an ATM. However, the gateway to use depends on what part of the process you are talking about. Can you provide me with some more information please ?
@@BPMNGuru thanks for the reply. I mean, the user after logging in can choose any option which are on the screen like 'change pin', 'check balance' and withdraw money, so these options should branch off from which gateway, inclusive or event based?
What tool is it?
Hi Dina. I am using 3 software applications to produce the video content; Microsoft Powerpoint for the slides, Lucidchart for the detailed process model and Camtasia for producing the UA-cam video itself.
