Thank you plasma donors! From someone with Common Variable Immunodeficiency. I don't make antibodies to vaccines or infections, so you all make life without constantly being on antibiotics possible. ❤️
That may be true but there's a lot of Turn Down rates for plasma. For example you have to have a water bill no other bill will do even though every bill has just what they're looking for. When you count how many people live in apartments that pay the water bill that just means third setting himself up for a large turn down rate for people wanting to donate. At least that's my experience here in Texas. Sounds like a strange way to say that they care about people with vitamin deficiencies that need plasma.
When I donated in my mid-twemties, I used to celebrate with 1 pint of Guiness after dinner. Now at age 44, I fuel up on healthy cuisine before and after donating. Hydration is an absolute must. Drink plenty of water. Donating plasma keeps me on my sober path, abstinence from alcohol. The money I earn affords me better groceries including CBD with low THC, and Lion's Mane mushrooms amongst many. Be strong for yourselves and be strong for others. It's a LIFESTYLE
Soon I'll reintroduce the THC to my body via edibles. We'll get a better picture of the perks when they screen each visit. I lift weights at Planet Fitness, only on the days I don't give plasma. No sex. No tattoos. No piercings. But $115 weekly is more than any of those three actually pay in cash. Plus donating plasma helps with my comedy ideas/material. It gets me HIGH in various ways. Life is one GREAT MEDITATION
I' started donating plasma when I was about 20 years old .... I stopped because I got a job instead......I had been donating off and on when I turned between 23-29 !! and these last 2 years ( I'm 37 now) I've been donating when ever I'm sober enough and am able to make it to the spot I travel by bus.................................................. So roughly 8 times a month!! but I convinced my self it's better to donate sober!! Just in case.... well they say not to consume alcohol 2days (before and after) :you donate 2 days a week and I have a habit to keep drinking more than a day!!!it's not worth it to even drink 1 day out of the week !!!My advice stay sober or don't donate at all!!
I just started donating and have given 1600ml now. Hydration is key and it really does make you think more about your own health. The second time I went to ImmunoTek I realized that eating healthy and drinking plenty of water made the process go by so much faster (15 mins).
I don't know. I kind of always feel guilty about being paid for a donation. On top of that, it's not really healthy to give plasma long-term. Although I'm pretty sure they don't pay in pennies, some people have gotten up to $500. I don't really see the point anyway because the turn down rate is ridiculous, at least here in Texas from my experience. For example, they strictly want a water bill in your name. What they're looking for is located on any bill, including what is not considered a water bill. So their stance on water bills don't make sense because any bill will have that information. So people that have Apartments where they don't have to pay a water bill will be turned down. So the reality is that turning down more donors that they need. Thus, they are turning down the patients ultimately by denying them donors. That's a strange way to save a really care about people who need plasma. So if they don't care enough for the patients to make the turn down rate less and what is the point in giving plasma if you can't give it anyway?
@melissamilam-hw9dt The turn down late is ridiculous because they want only a water bill at least here in Texas. By the way, that makes zero sense because all bills have what they're looking for to prove what they need. It sounds like a really strange way of saying that they care about people who need plasma because they are basically making turn down rates more often. If you have any bill it should be sufficed. However are only accepting that then that excludes people who live in apartment that get their water bill paid for. What should really get you turn down is if you have health problems.

I donated first time last week, too. The first time is bad because of anxiety but the second time a few days later was a breeze. First I tried to go back 2 days later and was too nervous, so they told me to come back tomorrow and was way more relaxed.
Donating plasma can be beneficial particularly if you have "elevated autoantibodies" which is a "bad" form of antibodies (too many). I've been donating for the past 2 months (16 times so far) and I feel better in a number of ways (unlikely that I have elevated autoantibodies though). My blood pressure has never been better for starters. Donors just need to eat well and drink a ton of water. Donating has created new positive habits for me (like drinking more water and eating better)😀
I am conducting a field study on how we can increase our antibodies by giving plasma. My levels before I gave plasma were at 200 per ml, now they are 395 after just giving once. I have gave two more times and will go in for another antibody test monday. I am currently going on 15 months with antibodies btw. Goodluck and keep your self immunity.

I've been donating plasma for almost two years now and sad to say have noticed changes to my body. My muscles are getting weaker and I feel weaker at times. It's too the point that no matter how much I proteins I build up and how much I hydrate I wind up getting sick for the next two hours after donating and if I eat right afterwards I will start throwing up. I'm going to stop for I have no choice. Any advice ? Peace.
It could be that you’re just aging and your body and it’s systems aren’t functioning as well. I regularly lift weights and run and haven’t noticed any decline. Though I do wonder if it is lowering my testosterone as within the plasma there are hormones that get taken with it. As far as feeling sick after, do you honestly eat a clean diet? If not you should definitely do so but if you do already eat clean avoid really fatty foods before and after I generally have some egg whites and avocado before and I eat some soup with lean chicken or turkey afterwards. Beyond that maybe try increasing the time between donations giving your body more time to recover. Best of luck to you ✌️
I've been donating almost 2x weekly for about 2.5 years with a month or two break each year. I notice I feel light headed for like ~2 hours after. I also feel a bit tired like I'm ready for bed even though it's only 3hr into my day. I DON'T throw up though. I do notice my body had trouble maintaining protein but I also lift a few times a week so that takes protein. Good luck with asking a doctor. My doctor said they don't know how much is too much and if I feel bad take a break. I know the Red Cross only "recommends" donating like 15x a year or something. So that's a bit on my mind when I'm donating way over 70x. I'd take a good month or more off focus on quality sleep, high quality protein (meat based) and general nutrition. Are you physically pretty healthy? Are you younger than ~50? Maybe you are a bit old and it takes longer for your body to recover????🤷♂️
Thank you Tim. Going in soon for third donation. Reno, Nv. I will ask for any numbers attached to my personal file. Will post results if given anything worth mentioning. March 6, 2023

@@Bigbopperairgunsnothing lasts forever and I can tell you this. My mother was one of those people that didn’t look her age. The aging process seemed to stall from age 35 to 55 but let me tell you there is a price to pay for that. When it starts again it’s accelerated. She got wrinkles and crepey skin very quickly after it began. So you’ll probably notice it happening in what seems like “all of a sudden”. People who look their age, age in a more linear fashion. It happens at a steady pace so you don’t really notice it because it’s been happening slowly all along. So yes be prepared to suddenly notice a quick increase in wrinkles, etc if you’re one of those that always looked younger than their age. It happens eventually, regardless. She had a hard time dealing with it because she was always the one who didn’t look her age and she was proud of it….she sounded just like you. She always had to throw it in or bring it up that she always looked younger than her age.
They do have ways of measuring these things, antibody titres can be measured, and yes they do return to normal. Perhaps you could request having your levels checked a certain amount of time after donating, to ensure they are replenished, and that might give you peace of mind. I believe it is best to donate once in awhile but not too frequently. You’re saving lives and can feel good about that ❤
That's not how it works. When your body senses and invader, it produces the antibodies THEN. It's not like they are just floating around in your blood stream. Once the immune system knows which invader to attack, it produces cells specifically to attack that virus or bacteria. If you had attack cells floating around all the time, they would attack your own cells too.
CSL fine example of corporate greed,, they're more successful than ever, and what do they do , they do away with the rewards system, there goes a massive 10 bucks out the window every 10 visits, which mind you it takes alot longer to get that unless your a platinum level donor 🙄. Then they took away about 26 bucks a month,, I'm sure the employees haven't received anything,,, nice job won't be long and I won't have to do this shit anymore 👌
There are very many different ways they use plasma. Here are some of them: help in discovering and developing new drugs and medicine, help to fight infection for people, help to cure burns, help those with immunodeficiency, etc ❤️
@@melissaohlrich2418 its crazy but its the truth. They are harvesting our life for 40 bucks a donation. And if the elite dont use it they will sell to insurance companies for 8000$ a treatment that was the price a few years back
@@TheSuccessExperimentsyeah you’re helping someone alright. Helping multi billion dollar companies become even richer. If they are gonna put your health at serious risk they need to fucking pay some real money like 200$ each donation. They turn around and sell it for 5000$ why is that fair that they think it’s ok to pay 50$ each time and want you to come in twice a week. You know what I see every time I go to donate? I see a bunch of cattle lining up to slowly get slaughtered. It takes literally hours where I live in Amarillo everyone goes because everyone is hurting very badly for money.
What is the point when you're not there to really help the patients. What I mean by that is they require that, I mean, it doesn't matter if it has the exact same information that they're looking for. Nope, it's got to be a water bill. Which makes no sense because if it has the exact same stuff they're looking for on other bills, then it's just a needless turn down rate. So they're not helping anybody as much as they like them because they're turning down way too many people to really make a difference. At least, that's my experience here in Texas. If you want to give plasma and Texas you better, make sure you're not in an apartment that pays your water. If they can make that big of a chance for turn down the rates, then they don't care about the patients who need it anyway, So why even waste our time giving plasma when most people will be turned down?
Not completely true. I'm in Texas as well, and it doesn't have to be just a water bill. It can be any proof of address. Any utility bill will do, and for those whose bills aren't under their name, it can be any postmarked letter, as long as the name and address matches what they have on file and as long as it's postmarked within the last 60 days. Meaning: you can literally send a letter to yourself and as long as it's postmarked within that time period, it's valid. Let's not mis-inform people, please.

I dont understand why the crying about the money. If it was a mandatory thing then yes complain all you want but it's not. It's totally voluntary. Whoever wants to goes and whoever doesn't then dont.
Best of luck to you ✌️
Talk to either your doctor or the medical staff at the donation center
Why would that affect your muscles?
Stop giving it!!
I help others and that money helps me pay for my Weed without ever paying out of my own pocket.
Right on 👍🏿
Bruh thats addiction lmao
It also filters forever chemicals
Good to know.
Got poisoned for 4 years at Camp LeJeune.
Thank you Tim. Going in soon for third donation. Reno, Nv. I will ask for any numbers attached to my personal file. Will post results if given anything worth mentioning. March 6, 2023
As long as you follow the advice and guidelines as medically directed and check with your physician, there is only good that comee out of donating!! Keep donating plasma and blood. Of course you get paid foe plasma but if yoi don't need cash, donate a4 either place. Just contribute to the world in a positive way!!
I donate in Canada, no one gets paid, it’s out of the kindness of our hearts ❤
Thank you sweetheart. As a fellow Canadian who receives plasma donations, thank you so much. 🙏
I promise you I would never have donated if I didn’t get paid. I stopped though because the low pay is pisses me off
@@vitalityfox thank goodness not everyone is like you 😆
I would donate like that, but this will make is so my puppy doesn't go blind. In Canada I guess he would.
Anything they want from you or are willing to pay you for is valuable. That’s all you need to know. You are your most valuable commodity. Do not give it to them. Vampires 🧛♂️
Does this lower your iron? I can never find actual info cause they label blood donation instead of plasma. Does donate plasma lower iron ?????????
Yes it does
Whole blood, yes. Plasma, minimally. Eat some chicken and a few bowls of cinnamon toast crunch if you're that worried.
so if he had high antibody's what does that have to do with donating if you dont lose them?
I have been donating plasma 2 times a week ever since 2020, and I want to know if this is aging me because I have noticed wrinkles on my neck.
All though I am 49, I have always looked younger than I am.
If you want to reverse aging just start doing red light therapy.
Yeah... But what if they're lying ? Just like donating blood... Does it truly regenerate and returns back to normal stores?
It takes away my protein levels like crazy and eats away at my iron levels too. I wonder if anyone else experiences this at such a fast pace.
Good to know 👌
CSL fine example of corporate greed,, they're more successful than ever, and what do they do , they do away with the rewards system, there goes a massive 10 bucks out the window every 10 visits, which mind you it takes alot longer to get that unless your a platinum level donor 🙄.
Then they took away about 26 bucks a month,, I'm sure the employees haven't received anything,,, nice job won't be long and I won't have to do this shit anymore 👌
Well what do they do with the plasma?
There are very many different ways they use plasma. Here are some of them: help in discovering and developing new drugs and medicine, help to fight infection for people, help to cure burns, help those with immunodeficiency, etc ❤️
They sell it to the elites of the world so they stay young...
@@melissaohlrich2418 its crazy but its the truth. They are harvesting our life for 40 bucks a donation. And if the elite dont use it they will sell to insurance companies for 8000$ a treatment that was the price a few years back
They also use it for flat screen TVs.
They drink it
I was told my antibioti high so I COULD NOT DONATE!
WHY ??
I was told at the hospital that, that will happen when you're body is fighting an infection or sickness.
They give you $50 and then sell it for $5,000... They don't care what the levels are they want you to come back twice a week
and so what... cant you simply be grateful that you are HELPING someone.
Not true I've gotten deferred a few times if my levels were low.
If I donated plazma today. Is my risk to being sick from the flu or covid.idk if plazma hirts my immune system
It foes
Why yall lyin 😭😭😭
You’re a doctor?
@@noonecares200 they are making donating plasma sound good, but nobody knows for certain except the doctors, but also doctors love money, and hospitals need plasma. Which convinces me more that the doctors are lying to get more people to donate plasma
@@jetblackasf9452 Its not that bad really,As the guy in the video said our body literally makes another plasma as soon as we donate it.
As long as you're eating good and staying fit your body will always recover it for you. Take care of your body and the body will the rest for you
They must compensate people, if their making profit out of this
@@jetblackasf9452 Its literally taken years off of ones life and force
Oh well, if real life Dr Nick says its okay, i must be okay!
It'll be a no from me, less blood/plasma equals less volume, equals less everything.
HELLO EVERYBODY!
Congratulations boy. I don't see anyone begging for YOUR plasma anyways boy 😂😂😂
@@somnuswaltz5586 What's with the boy boy?
@@batfink274 cuz you SOFT boy 🤣🤣🤣
Your body replenishes the blood and plasma though. You’re losing it momentarily, but you restore it back quickly
I suck at remembering thing who’s to say my blood cell aren’t forgetful 😅
I dont understand why the crying about the money. If it was a mandatory thing then yes complain all you want but it's not. It's totally voluntary. Whoever wants to goes and whoever doesn't then dont. People want to get paid as if it were a full-time job, for 4 hrs per week of their time. What they do with it afterwards I really don't care as long as I'm getting paid. Yes it's not a lot but it sure helps for a bill, gas or takeout.
What if you have a toothache and you take antibiotics and your tooth ache goes away and you donate will this harm anyone or long do we need to wait till wE are done with the antibiotics??
3days
For everyone that is on antibiotics you shouldn't be donating plasma until you're off of them.
No u should be fine certain medications are fine there’s a list check it out for yourself wen you do your fast pass
LOL nobody is forced to give plasma... its strictly voluntary. You all need to stop acting like the donors are "victims" 😂 theyre all adults and have the choice of doing a million things OTHER THAN giving plasma 😂
They’re not victims, they are just dumb for not doing any research on what it does to their own immune system. They watch one video on UA-cam, and believe whatever it says about it being “safe”.
And i have seen a drop in donor volume , GOOD JOB 👍 to those people who are able to boycott this garbage...
will given plasma cause weight loss
No it won’t be the cause but it will motivate one to eat better and drink way more water and that may result in you losing . I been donating for the past 8 months and depending on how I eat my weight has been consistent, might be 5 pounds more a week if I went all carbs .
It has for me on a small scale
@@Skorp-eonwho is to say this stuff is not dangerous. We really dont know the truth about plasma works and how important it is. We only believe what they say. We dont know future precautions.
Does donating plazma hurt your immune system?
No, not that I've ever found or heard or seen from giving myself.
Yes it does.
Yes. Not hurt but it leaves it weak. The worker told me plasma IS your immune system in simplistic terms. During the EVENT I stopped donating for a few months. Ended up catching it during that time and made a full recovery. If you are old or weak DON'T DONATE. Or take lots of breaks if you are worried.

It's taking advantage of donors.
Recently GRIFOLS has upped the plasma to 1000ml for all the people over 180 pounds. And their payout is a fucking joke. I went there 3 times and they fucking screwed me over on my payout and ruptured a blood vessel. I will never do it again. I’ll just eat rice and stay home until the fucking piece of shit economy gets better
Lol don't do it did it alot 20 years ago and let me tell you it catches up with you
