If you like this cover songs and have not heard the original band (Deftones) version, please give them a listen. You will love their music. They are an amazing band. Hence why this band covered them.
It’s cool… but I feel like modern production does this weird thing with drum sound which doesn’t really favour music in general. Quantisation and synthetic drums could never replace a true performance of a drummer
As an audio engineer myself this is true but it's a grave we dug ourselves. Nobody pays or expects to ever pay for music ever again now that that cat is out of the bag. Bi product is corners have to be cut left and right to make the same quality songs with way less budget nowadays. So you get synthesized everything. The performances are real but now the raw tracks are converted to midi notes, run through amp simulators, all in an effort to save time/money yet produce an industry standard quality product. It's unfortunately the necessary evil these days. Wish we could go back to the 90's :(
@@jeffoberg685 Yuh... it's not the same money that is being put into music production. I think it's kind of sad. I miss those days when things were miced and bands had to work with the room sound. Even if the performance is recorded I wish musicians wouldn't edit stuff to sound in perfect timing. Back in the day not every band even used a metronome. Now it's like every band needs everything to sound perfect. Not to mention the mandatory pitch correction to again make it sound flawless. I understand the money saving aspect of it but I completely don't understand it on the artistic level. Those who can afford the old school way probably still do it (at least I hope so)... but it most likely doesn't apply to what we call modern metal bands that came out after 2015. And probably some underground bands from what I've heard try do it like that to kind of stand from the pack but most people don't care. Most are okay with a synthetic, polished sound. At the end most bands sound so much alike which makes it really hard for me to enjoy them
@@americandreammachine_ of course! Good job with the cover fellas!! 🤟🤟🔥 Check out Giantkiller's cover of "Passenger" if you can find it on here. You'll love that too! Keep kicking butt fellas!
@@niangermirabal you do know there are bands out there doing nu-gaze better than Deftones right?? It's ok to listen to bands that aren't popular you know. Doesn't make them bad or anything. And yeah I enjoy Fightstar way more than Deftones bro.

I gotta say, this sounds incredible without the bass riff in the verse. Love how much more open and airy it sounds. Fantastic work gentlemen!
