Truly the most underrated sith in Star Wars the clone wars . I do like how the clone wars break the stereotype that the Sith do not care about their apprentices . Even though maul was his brother , we clearly see that they love each other and have each other backs . Also in rebels , maul shows that he cares about eraza . I also likes how maul talks about savage in rebels and the we clearly see that he misses him . Fun fact in rebels , maul was going to have flashbacks of savage but the creators decided to cut it out so that it wouldn’t alienate people who haven’t seen clone wars yet .
Why Savage failed where Maul succeeded: Savage was raised on Dathomir for most of his life around a clan that knew and cared for him. He cared for them, too. The Nightsisters used their magic to enhance his abilities and Ventress and Dooku taught him how to draw on his hatred. Maul, though, was raised with no such family. Sidious molded him into a killing machine from infancy and every failure was met harshly. In Legends, Sidious brought him to a school that trained the most lethal assassins in the galaxy. During that time, he had to follow one rule: he could not use the Force in any obvious way. The final test of Maul's loyalty was to slaughter the entire school, the friends he had made included. Savage always had a little, tiny bit of compassion even after becoming a Sith. Despite coming to hate Maul, Savage also loved his brother and remained loyal to him. He never possessed Maul's strategic mind, ambition, or his ruthlessness. Savage fails simply because he will not burn everyone and everything he cares for in self interest. "I am an unworthy apprentice. I'm not like you. I never was."
Yep, there's that compassion that keeps him from being a stereotypical Sith. He's a Dark Side user, not a Sith. This is an important character to portray the difference
I don't think he ever hated Maul. He was just annoyed at him wanting to constantly asserting his dominance instead of being having a more mutualistic partnership like he had with his nightbrothers.
I love ventress but I honestly hope he is revived as his original self and finds a peaceful life . Ventress rarely shows glimpses of guilt but even with all her growth I want her to face the fact that in her quest for revenge she did the same thing to another person that was done to her . Enslaved, made a monster , then discarded when he didn't succeed . His life ever since he met her was one person using him after the next to the point that even after sidious said "there is no mercy " he in advertently had given a man a great mercy . Someone who suffered under the manipulation and power of a darksider Sideous's knew could one day overthrow him.

Savage Opress is so often underrated and you portrayed him so well! Love this new content, mate; so creative!
This was an Absolute Fantastic tribute for Savage Oppress. Clancy Brown did an Amazing Performance bringing Darth Maul’s Brother to life.
Why Savage failed where Maul succeeded:
Savage was raised on Dathomir for most of his life around a clan that knew and cared for him.
The Mad King?! Perfect choice, I love it!
You’re pumping out videos like a madman and I’m loving it. Savage Opress deserves all the love he can get! Amazing work mate!
insane work bro, love the introduction bit especially
Such a good work, for such a good character.
he didn't deserve this path, I feel sorry for him.
He would make a better Jedi
I love ventress but I honestly hope he is revived as his original self and finds a peaceful life . Ventress rarely shows glimpses of guilt but even with all her growth I want her to face the fact that in her quest for revenge she did the same thing to another person that was done to her . This is like a Savage Opress short film
It’s sad his character didn’t last long but we knew he was gonna die once Sidious came to Mandalore
