Ayamé,🥹 I thoroughly enjoyed this episode & understood EVERYTHING you were saying about the food in the States 💀I'm South African and when I went to the US it took me at least two weeks to adapt to the food, I too was running to the 🚽 all the time (the wet fart incident cracked me up 😂sorry girl) but listen, get some bagels, toast them and spread some butter and jam , that helped me, and it was enjoyable . Idk why everything is so heavily processed there so maybe have some fruit? idk ,hope something good happens to better your experience tho ! much love xoxo

2 things,
1. I went to europe a few months back for the first time and that’s when I realized how selfish we are as a country. granted I knew it was bad bad but when I was over there it just made me sad thinking of what we could be and more helpful for our communities
2. I didn’t have a single stomach issue for 10 days and I got back to the airport in NJ and 3 bites in I thought I was going to die before my connecting flight.
America has a sales culture in general but I've noticed many stores will consistently "check on you" because they're profiling and assume you're going to steal something. It happens at the Ulta I go to regularly, and it pisses me off beyond belief after spending so much money there. They're never around when you actually need help 😂😂😂
You know I've been listening to health podcasts on the gut microbiome. Maybe some fermented foods is what you need, they must have more whole food shops per person than anywhere else in the world.
