    Let me tell you what this wonderful lady did. I was bored sitting at home watching UA-cam video and I came across this video and started watching it. I decided to purchase her product on a Sunday and on Monday I got a text from her tell me she's going to personally deliver product to client's that live in the area Bruh! I didn't even know we lived in the same city. How thoughtful and generous of her to do this during this current world time to decide to hand deliver packages ❤️❤️❤️😀Ps the brush worked lovely in my daughter's hair. Thank you

    So glad to get an updated routine! I loved your old one, which I watched last month.
    Ugh. So, basically, I'm really gonna have to take my time when I do a wash and go and just shingle the frizzy curls/coils. I've only tried these twice: One time was when I just went natural three years ago and another time was in March.
    The last time, it seemed nice and defined initially, but when it dried completely I lost definition. I also think I probably need to apply even more product(s) and add more water to my hair. I'll try it with gel next time too.
    And thanks for the stretching tip! That was something I wondered about.

    • @ShaniqueBuntyn
      @ShaniqueBuntyn  4 роки тому +5

      Have you tried shingling and gel? Or a detangler brush and gel? When you wash your hair do you notice any definition?

    • @lesm9748
      @lesm9748 4 роки тому +2

      Very little curls, but I’m thinking it’s my color transitioning to my natural color. I have a detangling brush but I don’t see any difference. My hair dries into an Afro. I guess I’ll try the products you use. Right now it stays up in a flat twist style.

    • @chalabrooks5433
      @chalabrooks5433 4 роки тому +2

      @@lesm9748 How does your hair look when it's freshly washed with or without the color? Are you seeing your true curl pattern or does it look different since you color it? I ask because depending on how you colored your hair, kept it moisturized and maintained it, it may be damaged and just needs to completely grow out. Then start over. I wanted to dye my hair but I knew for me I wasn't doing to maintain it well and having the color I wanted would definitely show the dryness or damage. I just decided to wait until I could really focus and take the time doing my hair seriously again. Had some medical issues I've been working through. Plus, I decided I need to not completely do my hair by myself and have a stylist that works with me to maintain it. I never cared for going to a salon all the time when I did have a relaxer. Love the freedom natural hair gives me.😏

    • @lesm9748
      @lesm9748 4 роки тому +1

      As it grows the colored ends are slowly breaking off. I do moisture the ends. I maintained my hair ok but not the best. Too much work. I haven’t done the chop yet. I want some length. I’m trying to focus on the knew growth. When it’s freshly washed it have some curls. It looks like an Afro with little curls here and there. Doesn’t even come close to the video.

    • @chalabrooks5433
      @chalabrooks5433 4 роки тому

      @@lesm9748 Okay! I understand about trying to get more length. I did the same when I was transitioning in 2012 for about 9 months. Once the relaxer was past my ears I cut it. Yes color can be beautiful but a challenge for some to maintain moisture balance. I have wanted to color mine but have decided against it until I know for sure I can maintain it and my stylist will be able to whenever I decide to go to her a few times a year.

    This is a nice video beautiful!!❤️❤️a lot People say “to much work” or “it’s not a wash & go” but you guys have to understand that when you have curly hair regardless if your 3c or 4c, it’s so important to detangle your hair and moisturize section by section...if you just wash your hair and go then you’ll look a hot mess and cause breakage even people with straighter hair textures like 2a still detangle. We just have to do a little more to our routine if we want healthy growing hair smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

    Have you ever tried putting on your leave in in the shower before getting out, then like twisting your hair up in clips? If you keep doing this, your hair will become ‘moisture trained’ and stay moisturized throughout styling. You won’t have to keep spraying water on it! It’s a game changer!!

    i have major troubles loving my own hair. I hate it two the core. I never get to comb it out like yours in the video. Even when my hair is a 4 type i never get to get it like yours. It doesn’t stay down it stays up. I hate it so much it’s hard to comb and it feels like i’m pulling a rock everytime it’s wet. And obviously 4 type hair is mostly hated because it’s not a 3a or 3c type. I feel so left out and hate it.

      Maybe you havent found the rigth products for your hair as yet. Try making your own. Shea butter mix. Ingridients sheabutter, olive oil,avocado oil and almond oil blend after washing and conditioning your hair try useing cantu sheabutter leave in treatment then put your hair in some twist if you can some plats add your home made sheabutter mix to every twist. When it dry's your hair should be more soft and manageable. Give your hair time. If the sheabutter mixture helps keep useing it even on your scalp. Good luck. We are as beautiful as we think we are

      Girl, I relate to this so much. I have 4C hair and I never combed my hair because the knots and the tangles were too overwhelming for me to handle. I didn't believe my hair could be combed or that I'd ever see any of my natural curl definition. My sister recommended I use a detangling brush similar to the one she's using in the video and it worked WONDERS! It was tough at first, but the detangling process gets so much easier. I use it in the shower after I've applied my deep conditioner, and I'm now able to see my curls in my hair the same way she can in the video. I can run my fingers through my hair, and there is such minimal tangling. I have a hard time believing that the hair on my head right now is the same hair that broke combs when I was younger. All of that is to say taking care of 4 type hair is going to hard but SO so so worth it once you learn to

    Hi; I love the way your wash and go came out. Looks very healthy and defined. Do you prefer stretching your hair with heat as opposed to the banding method with maybe satin scrunchies? Less heat. Thanks for sharing

      It’s hard to choose.. with heat, its quick and easy. Banding, you lose definition and it takes a few hours to set. The no heat definitely makes the banding method, the better technique to use. It all depends on how often you use heat, protracted you use and the definition you like.
      I only stretch once when using the blow dryer.
      I haven’t tried satin scrunchies so I’m not sure how that would work

      @@ShaniqueBuntyn when you're ready to stretch your hair, you can band before bed and put on your bonnet; so you're not wasting time during the day waiting for it to stretch. Try it! Lets see 😁👍🏽

    Your wash n go came out lovely. I just hope you would consider trying the anthony dickey method. It takes so much less time, and you get the same results.

      I tried that in the past and didn’t get the same results. I would have large sections of hair clumped together. But it’s definitely been a few years. Maybe I’ll try again in the future

      Shanique Buntyn Thats makes me sad to hear. I have 4a/4b hair, and it was a life saver. It took a few tries to get the technique down, but it was worth it. Great video.

    Does anyone know if the clay mask can be used on colored treated hair? I used to do it all the time but I dyed my hair at the end of January and haven’t tried it since.
