Just played my first match. It was 14 minutes long, there was no tutorial on how to play, hitting your opponent in any angle other than straight on is difficult, and I won with a sleeper hold I didn't know how I did. I love this game already. Add the fact I can have over 7,000 wrestlers and that number is always rising further and further and it gets much better. Some of the best cash I ever spent.

The reason Fire Pro has some similarities with Pro Wrestling on NES is because the guy that programmed Pro Wrestling on the NES is the same guy that created the Fire Pro series.
Just picked it up today after looking at the abysmal reviews on WWE 2K20... Best $30 I’ve spent!!! I’m new to the series, so this video is beyond helpful.
I was about to pay like 45 for it. Was sad panda. Then I noticed it was 80% off. So happy, only paid $10.50 for it. I haven't played a FPW game since having to have a modded Playstation and using a translation guide to play, I think FPW2.

Thanks a bunch man for giving the rundown on timing the moves. I had preordered it on the PS Store and have mostly spent my time downloading CAW’s and working on completing the tutorial missions so I can go in knowing what lm doing. This game has a steep learning curve which will be rewarding in the end. I’m more familiar of FPW from back in the days of playing it on the GBA, which I wish I still had.
Seems to me no one understood what makron meant. "Over breathe". The UA-camr mention it in the beginning. If you breath to much in between moves it can also affect your wrestler. Don't know how but thats what UA-camr said.

I dont think you can counter front grapples manually, it all depends on how worn down you are if they try to go for a stonger move early, its more likely to be countered. I know you can counter back grapples with the attack button at the right time though

Apparently, you mash the medium attack button to break out of pins and waggle the stick or direction pad to get out of submissions. I read that elsewhere, I've never played the game.
Great tutorial but I just learned the game has a tutorial called Mission mode. You start out by learning grapples but you can't advance until you master each section.
There's a cheat code you can do. It's simple and unlock all the mission mode for you. I still did a few though and it helped. Learned the game more or less in a few hours.

Finishers are not done by any special motion. They're simply moves that are designated as such in a characters moveset. So you just have to pause the game, look in the character's moves and see what is designated as a finisher.
I just got this game for Ps4...its great but frustrating at the same time. The grappling mechanic is crazy hard to learn with the timing....the computer is killing me.
Finishers are totally dependent on what move they are mapped to. There is no specific "situation" on when and how to do them. They can be mapped o a strike, light grapple, medium grapple, heavy grapple, top rope move, etc...
Just know that if you attempt a finisher before the opponent has been beaten down enough, it will most likely be reversed. Also under the right conditions, depending which attributes you select in EDIT mode, your finisher can CRITICAL (Knock out) an opponent
It depends on what wrestler you're using but you can go to the move list menu and see the (F) sign for finishers, and (S) sign for signature moves and then make the sequence ;3

you need to connect the controllers to steam first before loading the game.
Is there any way to reverse or counter a move because some moves in the moves list say things like counter (BIG) how would you do that move?
Throw your opponent onto the ropes by using direction buttons and then when they come back use the big move button

Right before you select a fighter you should see a CP above a 1P. Just press down to select 1P before moving to character selection.

Just gotta hit the buttons and wiggle the pad really fast. It's all dependent on how much damage you've taken and how much stamina you have left.

Don't think this is accurate. (S) IS your finisher, and (F) is favorite moves. If you look at the list most guys have 3-5 (F) and only one (S)
