In this episode, we take a look at the all in one 3000 W inverter from EG4. This inverter is stackable. This is a off grid inverter supports up to 5000 watts of MPPT and can also function as an 80A charger. This is built for 48V batteries and is a great value at the price of $674 with parts and accessories included. The downside is the Wi-Fi Dongle system is not that great. But most people can overlook for the benefits provided by the inverter.

I have been using one for over a year to run a rodent production shed.... seriously awesome for my usage. Keeps life support and ventilation running 24/7 and has a small a/c connected as well. The battery is self made (3) 51.2 280ah lifepo4 300a ess modules for 43kwh of source! And 5.5kw array 380v 18a. Grid is a last resort but it hardly sips it ever
Solid!
Really enjoyed this video. I'm mostly interested in a portable inverter that can also pass power from the grid to power large loads or to recharge the batteries. Plus can be expanded as needed and then reduced when I don't need a larger system. This unit looks like my best option so far.
Glad it was helpful!
I purchased this after purchasing the eg4 6000xp. I'm using the eg4 3kw to power my daughter's swimming pool. The setup has several issues. Including the difficulty of setting the frequency. The communication app is more of a commercial than it is solar monitoring program
If u need to change the frequency u must b in standby mode u can do it in program if running ,
You make great videos. Thanks
Glad you like them!
Great video.
The breaker that came with my eg4 3000 was an AC not DC breaker.
Any issues with flickering lights like the 6548 had? Any chance you checked that?
I don’t have any issues with flickering light. But I didn’t have flickering lights with my 6500ex either. So maybe I got lucky?
On my 3000EHV with 3 EG4-LL V2 batteries any big appliance like dehumidifier or microwave the light bulbs will dim for a split second.
QQQ - I can't find an answer anywhere, Including the Owner's Manual. I originally bought the new wall mount 14.3 kw battery and 6000XP for my RV, but found out I can NOT use the 6000XP as I have a 30 amp (one 120v leg) system. Would have been perfect IF I had a 50 amp RV (two 120v legs).
Soooooo I have been looking for an inverter again.
This looks good IF... it does 'load sharing'??? Meaning if a 30amp RV Park Pedestal has low power, or I use an adapter to plug into 15 amp household socket, will the 3000EHV-48 Supplement utility power with battery power to power loads AND/OR will it use available utility power to Charge the Batteries while using Batteries to power Loads OR (worse case scenario) will it just Ignore utility power completely and provide power from the Batteries only???
1) the 3000ehv will not work in the manner you want. The modes supported bY the inverter will NOT supplement utility power with batteries. With the 3000ehv utility is all or none.
2) technically speaking you can use the 6000xp. Although not exactly recommended by the manufacturer. You can use each leg from the 6000xp to power the RV, since each leg is 120v.
working whit AGM batteries ?? BTW:
nice video
Yes, you have to use user settings and put in your own battery parameters
Why is your shirt on inside out?
maybe it was messy?
