- Honoring this incredible class of 2018 seniors. Thank you Karli Dugas, Melissa Metcalf, Rechelle Dennis, Sonya Meraz, Napualani Hall, JaNay Honest, and Christine Peng-Peng Lee for the years you have given our team. You are so loved and you will be missed beyond belief.
On a personal note:
I began my role as UCLA Team Videographer in 2014, meaning that I've had the privilege of working with this class for their entire college careers, so this class has a really special place in my heart. I am so inspired by Karli's enthusiasm and optimism, Miss's giving nature and love for others, Rechelle's leadership and general badassery, Sonya's dependability and work ethic, Pua's compassion and love for love, JaNay's dedication and eagerness to learn, and Peng's open-hearted joy for people and life. I'm so honored that I've been able to be around for your whole college careers. I can't wait to see where you go in life and I love you guys so much.

In my opinion, collegiate gymnastics is the best gymnastics ! Everyone is so entertaining to watch and it seems like more experienced. I see more stuck landings and better form all around.....but I must admit, UCLA is my FAVORITE!!
I was telling myself that I wont cry... And then Stella and Pulla said those things about Peng and I lost it. The simplest things hit you the hardest.

P said that she wanted to have the same type of leadership and help the team as much as Rechelle did when she was a senior. Judging by the things her teammates said about her in this year's video, she definitely achieved that goal!

Once again, great work Deanna! I was moved to tears and I don‘t even know any of these women personally. This team is so inspiring and it‘s great to see them grow over the years. i’m not a senior anywhere, i’m not a gymnast, but this made me cry
The part that hit me like a ton of bricks was seeing Janay flashing the W.O. as a shout-out to her fellow walk on Bruins not knowing that two years later she would earn herself a scholarship
....and now I'm crying. Such a beautiful job! Thank you Bruin Seniors!

I just want to say that this team inspired me to become a coach. This team and miss Val gave me so much inspiration in the past few years and I realized that i want to build a team just like that in my sport and that i want a group of kids that i can bring up into an amazing team that will have each others back always and forever, I want to build a team that will hype each other up and go through everything together. I'm 16 and this year is probably gonna be my last year competing as an athlete and after that i plan on starting to learn how to be a coach in my sport and after im 18 i want to officially become a coach and take one of my first group of kids and i hope i can mold them into a team that looks like the bruins.
