    Kota coming up to Midoriya and saying "I HAD to come. I thought I had to be like you!" is so insanely wholesome. Kid lost both his parents and his current role model is a kid not that much older than him currently going through worldwide hardships. Seeing the small impact he's already made on the world as his short time as a hero probably means so much to Midoriya. Especially since he's currently tip toeing the line of feeling like a true successor to All Might.

    All Might is victim of his own success, he was so effective at dropping crime rates that society got complacent and anything less than that is considered a failure for heroes. You're right. The answer, as even Hawks states, is to just be a little bit kind to others. If shigaraki had gotten even a little bit of help when he was on the streets, if toga had gotten even a little bit of concern by her parents or teachers or anyone, if gentle had gotten a little bit of acknowledgement or just a proper "let's sit down and talk", none of them would have turned out this way. That's the answer. Just be a LITTLE bit kinder to others. That itself will make everyone the greatest heroes in their own right.

    I find it incredibly beautiful that Uraraka caused the same effect on Deku when All Might told him he could become a hero. One was his idol and the first person who truly believed in him and in his dreams and the other one was the first person who was truly kind to him. I love the ship of those two but besides that I do think that Deku was thinking of Uraraka as the first one who was kind to him standing up on behalf of someone who was hurting and fighting a crowd of ungrateful citizens all to ease his burden. I'd love to watch them together as a couple but I also value their friendship and the role she played in this specific moment. Not only as his friend but as a hero.

  • @tangroro
    @tangroro Рік тому +15

    Ochako's flashback of Eel Boy brilliantly shows the reciprocal nature of heroes and the peopel they protect, how the heroes society should've been, that "saving" goes both way, just as the people Deku saved is now here to save him. That's why Iida stopped Mineta, heroes saving heroes will just be them licking each other's wounds, Kota and the mutan lady must be the one who save Deku at that moment
    Till this day, this is still one of the best executed twist not only just in MHA, but in the history of entertainment ever. When Ochako first asked the question "who will save the heroes?" We all believed she meant she's going to be that hero, but she actually meant the civilians heroes protect. She turned out to be the anti-Stain, who made a speech that literally changed the world, a speech that's the complete opposite of what Stain said
    Stain believes heroes should be an ideal, they shouldn't ask for rewards and they must burn themselves in service of others, provide unconditional protection to the world, while Ochako believes heroes are just human, they have feelings and they also need money to live their lives, and the world shouldn't expect unconditional protection from them. Aizawa said something similar to Kurogiri as well, "I didn't want the students to turn out like you, not a hero who devalues his own life for the sake of others."
    The fact Death Arms' last line before he quited was "I wasn't a hero, I'm just human" goes to show how toxic this society is. Ochako said what the society, including Stain needs to hear the most, they need to stop living in fantasy and deify the heroes, acknowledge they are just humans too , which is the samething Deku said, the world need to acknowledge villains are also just humans
    Ironically Shigaraki was the first to point out this societal flaw back in S3E8, he even called civilians "trash that got used to being protected". The heroes did lost and caused the current mess, but they still fought and died during and after the war, some understandably can't take it anymore and quited, because they're just as scared and disheartened as the civilians.

      And that's the things, the public forgot the heroes, the villains, even their fellow citizens (and yes even the vigilantes - as shown in MHAV) were human beings. They "had forgotten the soul behind the man," as the star head guy said when referencing All Might. And here, they forgot that Deku is A KID ("a normal high-schooler" as Ochaco said)!! Indeed, as the guy said, they acted like an audience watching a stage play or TV or video, and so believe "well good thing this DOESN'T INVOLVE ME, and I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT, but it is entertaining." The HPSC ofc made it worse, and than AFO (behind the scenes) worsen it more. Thus, the creation of a lot of the villains in the whole series (and franchise), and the physical and mental hardships of the "Good Guys" in it. Now that the public is "forced" to be involved, instead of realizing the SHOULD do something, they got mad and looked for someone to blame for dragging them into something they were unknowingly already in.

    • @wanna-be-thinker2377

      Well, it wasn't that AM didn't have friends (Det. Tsukauchi, Sir Nighteye, Prof Shields in the 1st movie, etc.), but he kinda pushed everyone away, like Deku tried to do. In a way, this is what Nana did (as well as it looks like the other vestiges too sans the 1st), though this was to protect her family. Endeavor did this too (WHILE/AFTER ABUSING THEM). And going by the MHAV manga, so did it's MC Koichi (albeit briefly), as did Aizawa before becoming a UA teacher. (I thinking O'Clock/Knuckleduster (MHAV) thought this too, though I'm not too sure about it.)
      It would seem the combination of AFO (in AM, Nana's, KD, and Deku's cases), the HPSC, the public themselves, and encountering various disastrous situations, had convinced them all at one point to *STUPIDLY* think "Ok, so the Heroes/Vigilantes life SHOULD be a lonely one, a dark, rocky, thorny path one travels by themselves. Having family, friends, and (in both Deku's and Aizawa's cases) classmates was a mistake." But NO, THAT'S NOT IT!!! Obviously, all of them have made mistakes, especially AM and Endeavor (the latter's ofc is inexcusable), and definitely Deku, but having people in your lives isn't (though that SHOULD be for the right reasons - unlike Endeavor). The fact, all of them decided cutting people off was a "good" idea was not only adding to their list of mistakes each make, but adding a big moronic one at that.

That's great! You can do it!" Same guy. Toga asked Uraraka what was the difference between villains and heroes since they act the same way for their cause and Uraraka couldn't answer back then. I believe this is her coming to her conclusion after she has witnessed the aftermath of Deku. This was a very powerful episode for those to come. Uraraka found her resolve for Toga. Endeavour and Todoroki realize they will have to take down Dabi as a family. Deku knows now that he will need to support of the people to fight All for One. For someone that missed it, the star-shaped old man that did the fame and money talk appeared at the first episode season 1 right after Kamui jump out to fight the first giant villain.

    This is only the third time in the series that "You too can be a hero" has played. The first two times were in episode 2 when All Might told him he could be a hero, and in episode 4 when All Might told him he got into UA.

    I dont why but Uraraka thinking about Toga while talking abt smiling in future hit me so hard and made me look at Toga in a different life bcoz i think just like Uraraka realised, i realised too that all Toga wants is acceptance and to be happy and the society wont let her and i remember her first fight with Uraraka and Tsu she kind of wanted to be their friends and then again in last arc when she confronted Uraraka, i think she wished to see if the heroes and people like Uraraka whom she likes are open to acceptance, to be a friend to her and they rejected her and i think it is setting a good arc of Uraraka and Tsu maybe trying to save Toga in the future

    poor deku. his Danger Sense quirk detects ill intent, best i can tell; so it must have been absolute torture (even more than it already was) to hear the whole crowd shouting at him, to feel this wave of malice and anger pouring into his mind. No wonder he looks so broken here, and no wonder he, for a brief moment, saw the whole crowd as this monstrous THING.

      Depends if you really care about the shipping in this series, I don't mind it or exactly care for the pairing of characters but it's a nice touch I think. I am more invested in other aspects way more however

    It’s really all about how a real hero society depends on everyone being a hero in big or small ways. Everyone can and should do their part with their unique strengths to make their community safer, happier, and kinder from a place of empathy and understanding. 🥹
