All pws from what I'm aware of is long stroke. I had a 16 inch 556 and now I have an 11.85 7.62x39 and it's long stroke too

LWRCI is the best of the short stroke by far. I’ve played with most of them, owned a few and the build of the LWRCI is tuff.
Don’t believe me? Have fun taking one apart. I like DI guns for the range but if I had to take one rifle (suppressed obviously) it would be my LWRCI.

I’ve had a couple LWRC rifles. They really are great and easy to clean!

Taking history and popularity out of the equation, I would take short-stroke piston every time. Give me my Vz.58 and BRN-180.

I think the DI system is superior. There's a plethora of parts for them. Especially in the mil spec. And parts are cheaper. Where most pistons are a proprietary system.

I like both but DI is definitely one of the more practical setups for most people

Pro's and Con's to most, but now that the Piston Hype has died down, they benefits that fueled the Piston Craze have been proven to be over hyped.

Lots of modern guns are piston driven. There’s still lots of benefits of them
