It's Amouranth's fault, it's the simps' fault, and it's society's fault. They aren't mutually exclusive.
Anime can both be really cringeworthy and also really awesome, far better than anything American animation has done in a while. Not only are there some fantastic, well done and thought provoking adult anime (particularly in the sci-fi and cyberpunk type genres), but even shōnen can be really good and promote good values of friendship, family, loyalty, overcoming great difficulty, self sacrifice, etc. Of course sometimes they sort of ruin it with, ahem, "fan service." And by dragging it out to 10 billion episodes. 🤷🏻

Just catching up and then suddenly felt "unseen" about 21 minutes in. Yes, Libby, there are still Secretaries ... the kind that answer your calls, type up your letters, coordinate repairs, prepare expense charts for taxes, file physical paperwork for you, and many other tasks. I have been a Secretary (though many see it as a personal assistant) for almost 24 years, just as my mother was a Legal Secretary for quite a few years before I came along. The name may be out of style, but the work remains the same, just with new skills needed as we go. The world may indeed one day become digitized, but the threat of EMPs will always exist, and a secretary's true worth is knowing where the dead files are buried.

The best reason to not have kids is knowing you are not going to be a good parent. I'm 55, never married, no kids, no regrets. If you aren't extremely enthusiastic about being a mother, you're obligated to sit this one out. Just because we can, doesn't mean we should.
