Recording yourself in public is bad enough, but doing it while you’re trying to get people in trouble at their place of work when 90% of the time it’s a harmless mistake?? Seems like such a waste of time/energy… not to mention incredibly self-centred 😪😪

Trans people like this give people like me a bad name and it's so hard to watch them do these things if you get misgendered at a restaurant all it should be is "It's maam not sir" "oh sorry" "it's ok thank you for apologizing" and done that's it enjoy your meal they didn't know they made a mistake and you don't have to make a huge deal out of it when I get misgendered I don't even say anything I just move on with my day yeah it hurts a bit but I'm not going to be an ass or ruin someone's day or job over it
You can make a piece of content in public without it treading on the sensibilities of others. She could be making something better, but this is the path of least resistance. Sorry, sis. I'm not gonna disavow your trans-ness, but I will say that you need to stop clout chasing and find some kind of center within yourself about your identity. Plenty of trans kids integrate into society just fine. We need to stand for trans rights, but this constant clamor to show that we are oppressed only increases our oppression. I've worked with plenty of other trans people who, while they have had their struggles, the world isn't against us. Trans rights are human rights, but nobody has any right to harm others to spread that message. Lily is a mess and should be treated as such.
Most of the time it is a mistake but in one of those videos she told the waiter that she is not a sir and to not call her that, and the waiter intentionally referred to her as sir two more times after "apologizing" for the "mistake". At that point having recorded footage that they intentionally harassed a customer after they asked politely not to treat them a certain way isnt a bad thing, so you arent accused of lying.

She's a perfect example of making your gender identity, your only identity. When its all you have, everything feels like a personal attack. Im trans, and while i dont get misgendered as often anymore, it happens. But my gender is such a small part of who i am, it just rolls off. I'm a luthier, an animal rescuer, an artist, a union member, i also happen to be a trans woman. Be someone worth respecting, and people will respect you.

She's the type of customer that calls the manager over for a complaint in order to see the employee punished on her order. It's not asking for equality or education, she wants to see someone suffer. It's sadism.
It's like when a customer asked me to come over for one of my baristas when they misheard an order over loud music. When I told her we would turn down the music and implement the habit of flipping over the screen to confirm orders, she was aghast I didn't punish the employee on the spot for her satisfaction.

I wanna say, I was getting take out last week. I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. It was apparently a 10 minute wait. I waited for an hour to find out my food had been ready for a while. The manager came out and wanted to know if I wanted my food comped and was pretty aggressive to the server. My reaction was "it's all fine. No it's fine. I get it. Service is difficult often". I got my food. I don't get at all wanting to harrass servers. Even if I was on the wrong end of someone whose had a real rough day. It's okay.
I've been a server before. Mistakes happen and sometimes you're mean to the person who didn't deserve it. It's okay.

I'm a 45 year old woman, and at 5ft 10 with short hair, I've had older people refer to me as a man, as has my sister, who is just over 6ft. I have never freaked out, or reacted badly to it, I just politely correct it. No need for all of this. Xx
That's all we really need to do. People sometimes get it wrong. And a gentle correction is all that's needed. But I've also learned most of the time it doesn't matter. No need to be rude to a stranger when I won't see them again. I usually don't bother correcting people if I'm not dealing with them for more than 5 minutes. And also how can I demand how someone refers to me if I sometimes get it wrong too?

The event where she had on that tube top thing and said she was denied access to the restaurant “because she was trans” but really it’s that (if you look at the people in the background and the motif of the restaurant) she looks to be severely underdressed. All i needed to hear was her saying "and also, they deserve it, they're servers." As someone who spent 20 in the hospitality industry, i now work at a small retail job because I couldn't destroy myself anymore in that field for people who found amusement in just finding the closest thing to a human punching bag.
It sucks dealing with people who have no care or respect. I have to cover a cashier position often (but not my main position). And luckily people are pretty well behaved. But not always and I know it can always be worse. It certainly made me much more reasonable to those who are customer facing as I've felt the exact same treatment I've given to others in the past. Karma I guess lol

Hey! As a trans person (female to male, started on testosterone about 10 years ago, and now nobody but family and longtime friends even know I transitioned):

- that said…ALSO THANK YOU for holding this person accountable!! Equality means recognizing minorities can be sh!tty people too, and should be held equally accountable
- (also, as a side note, I myself am not convinced Lily is actually trans, and it might imho be more of a fet!sh thing. But I wholeheartedly believe that’s not my place to decide!)

I agree this is likely the last point you stated, Lily shows multiple signs of Autogynephilia. A hyper-sexualization of self as the appearance of a woman....Ngl I think it's just another mental condition (nothing wrong with it being that, as gender dysphoria is also one) and does need it's own attention and care.
I think this condition has been exacerbated by Self ID for some. It's unfortunate how many who consider themselves trans (but likely are AGP/AAP) move towards "Gender Affirming" surgeries then regret it later. NOT saying to take it away, but the guard rails are no longer there for those who may just have a proclivity to cross dress (which is fine tbh).

I'm trans myself (trans male) and I occasionally am referred to as "mam" or "she" by family members or people who just see me from behind (I have long hair it happens sometimes)
I do go "oh its not mam" or a small correction but thats it, it never comes up again
I dont get why Lily is so intent on calling someone bigoted at the first misgendering, like it happens to everyone, even people who arent trans, you just correct them politely and move on with your day
I haven't personally had an experience where I was maliciously misgendered by anyone in public, I pass very well so it just doesn't happen too often, but while I was first transitioning my grandma had a really hard time and I had to correct her a lot, it became embarrassing for her because I was correcting her when she slipped up and she eventually asked me to just correct her in private
that kinda stung cause yeah, I get it, but also hurt that she was more embarrassed over being corrected than by misgendering her grandson

What other people call me, say about me does not bother me, because what they say does not define me. I refuse to let someone have that control over me.
I feel like people should focus on if someone maliciously misgenders someone. Because I'm pretty sure so many people get misgendered by strangers who are on autopilot. I've been misgendered several times in my life. Even recently online someone assumed my gender, but they were complimenting me, I knew they didn't do it maliciously. There was no point in getting upset or trying to correct them. They are a stranger who was trying to be nice. Basically, everyone has been misgendered at some point in their life, whether they are straight, trans, nonbinary. People shouldn't care what a stranger says. Malicious misgendering is way more likely to come from a family member or friend instead of a stranger.

And sometimes the person knows what gender people are but have a slip of the tongue because they're used to saying one or the other. Unfortunately, using the incorrect pronoun to transgender people IS often malicious, but it's generally not coming from someone who has been otherwise kind and respectful. The ones with malicious intent will give plenty of other cues.

Exactly what I said, 3 year olds don't think nothing like that at all at all they don't know what privates are for but to use the bathroom with for a 3 year old to do something like that they would have to be shown something and I doubt they would even get it then.

Back when I worked in a pharmacy, the amount of times I had been misgendered (female, all I did was cut my hair short and wear scrubs), it was unnerving on the basis when it happened when people did it when they were angry but when it was an honest mistake, or literally children not knowing any better, I didn't take it personally.
To make content where it could be a teachable moment and exploit it to the degree is just disgusting.
What we need is one good solar flare to shut the lights cameras and phones off.
Most of her content is genuine overreactions but the moment where that lady was on the "im a terf" rant was actual harassment. That lady was just going out of her way to be hateful for no reason, and i think she had a pretty mature and calm reaction to the situation (calling a manager and not escalating or yelling back or anything.) Which was good on her part. NOW THATS NOT TO SAY she is always a victim, because holy moly she overreacts sometimes. Even before I detransitioned, when people would misgender me id just say "oh sorry im a he." and move on. Or not even say anything at all, because pronouns arent that big of a deal when its literal strangers youll never see again. Its just a waste of energy, especially putting them on blast on social media where it can ruin lives. Over a small mistake such as saying the wrong pronoun.

As a trans man in highschool who gets misgendered often, its not that big of a deal bc its not my whole personality or identity. Yes, its a part of me and im very open about it but i will not get angry at someone for accidentally misgendering me, as long as they apologize and try to refer to me correctly, i dont mind. Im also very open to questions but i wont randomly talk about personal trangender issues i deal with as a trans guy to random people, i do really love answering questions though

as someone in the transgender community, this is really annoying. all it’s doing is promoting stereotypes about who we are and what we prioritize. ask any other transgender person-no one really cares about misgendering as much as this person is leading people to believe. i use they/them pronouns, but am AFAB. i’m not going to go batshit crazy if someone calls me ma’am because it’s not a problem. gender isn’t about forcing everyone to follow your rules, its about figuring out who you are as a person and YOUR identity.
My sister is trans. I just want her to be safe. This kind of behavior doesn't help. It makes me worry.

Yes sadly this lady needs some mental help and/or therapy. She is looking for the wrong type of attention, and there is definitely a root cause that she needs to work on. When I was younger, my foster parent insisted that I have short hair because it was a privilege and not a right. I was miss gendered constantly even to the point of sexual harassment. Oh, you’re a girl won’t you show me your boobs then. Like being gendered would obviously hurt my feelings as I wasn’t a boy I was a girl, but that’s where it ended.

After hearing about the restroom photos, it is obvious that they haven't heard of the United States Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 which does make it is illegal for Lilly to record any imagery with public (and public access) restrooms and lockers. With the filming that they are doing, because it is been used for commercial purposes (i.e. to make money) Lilly by law is required to have a permit from the property owners, actor/model releases from the people they are filming and public liability insurance. I don't like what they are doing, especially when what they are doing under the law is considered slander, entrapment and harassment, we all know they won't stop cause it is profitable to be a TikTok victim than to work a 9-5 job.

I mean seriously, Lily says things that are inappropriate for children, but at the same time talks down to anyone over the age of 7... I don't get it. I can't remember who the person was who posted it, but there was a TikTok of someone who Lily actually misgendered. They had waited on Lily, and of course Lily claimed they 'misgendered' her, however, Lily said 'he' when in fact they were female. So I guess misgendering only applies to Lily and noone else.
Jeffery Marsh is probably the most hated but Lily is close, then comes Dylan Mulveny. I'm trans and before I transitioned or even new i was trans I was misgendered as a child. Never hurt my feelings. It's only a "knife to thw heart" if you LET it be that way.

A restaurant reserves the right to refuse/deny service to anyone. If they came into my restaurant, I would politely ask them to leave... If they weren't polite or tried to get loud, threaten or physically attack me - politeness would full STOP on my part.

Many of the people that are misgendering her have accents (different from hers), English may not be their first language that adds a layer of complexity and you are just making things harder. I'm so sick of people acting like being misgendered is so tragic. There are people out there who may choose not to recognize a transgender person's preferable gender and they have that freedom the same way transgender people have the freedom to identity as a different gender than what they actually are. I have no problem recognizing someone as the gender they identify as, but I don't think everyone is obligated to. This person is so entitled. Imagine having the money to go out to dinner all the time to nice restaurants because people donate money to you so you can go out in public and record themselves being "victimized ."

Because us trans people are sadly very used to always feeling different, and being called the exact opposite if what we want, for our entire lives. Over time that definitely adds up mentally.

working in hospitality is already hard enough bc people are miserable and worse when they’re hungry. we work sometimes 15 hours a day (on our feet all day being literally harassed at LEAST once a day) , i don’t have time to ask for pronouns, i just stick with gender neutral language to avoid issues. going out of your way to report this to a manager putting someone’s livelihood at risk (AFTER THEY APOLOGISE) just for some views is honestly insane and deranged. we hurt physically and mentally for barely anything. shut up and enjoy your food unless you’re allergic to it or you didn’t order it/ we fucked up.

I transitioned 20+ years ago and just don't understand this new generation! It's sad that the worst become the face of trans people. i don't understand how these people transition and think they are experienced and knowledgeable. They need to focus on your transition and mental health for a few years before seeking attention. I just don't get it!
Side note, but to my Aussie ears, the idea of calling ANYONE sir or ma'am makes me twitch. It's at best bizarrely formal. People don't outrank other people. Weeeeiiiird.
It's seen as disrespectful to not address people you don't know as ma'am or sir. Especially at a work place especially in the southern states. Where respect is a part of the culture. Just like opening doors for strangers & helping out the elderly & disabled.
