How do y'all feel about portra 800?
Expensive 🤑
Love it - Just shot it in Chicago in March - Really dig the results
not supra 800?????
Love 800. Such a good film stock.
Also the lighting setup in this was 👌🏻
It’s the best man! And thanks just tried something different 🤷🏻♂️
800 gives me the best results consistantly! Love it!
It's definitely a good one
I’ve done test with it and you have basically no hit in image quality from 100-1600 ASA with no change in processing as long as you get it scanned well.
That's good to know!
For what it cost these days it better yield good results.
Portra 800 📈
The best
Have you ever had a problem using it in bright conditions in the M6 due to the 1/1000 top shutter speed meaning you couldn’t shoot as wide open as you’d like?
I haven't but try to shoot more 400 or something else if I know I'm gonna be shooting in a brighter environment
I’ve shot lots of Portra 800 in a Leica M6. You’ll be fine with f16 and 1000th in bright sun light snow or on a beach. Sunny 16 would be a 500th. So you as long as your lens goes down to f16 you can shoot it in any light. It’s a big misconception that you can’t shoot fast films in bright sunlight. I also like to rate it at 500 ASA for daylight shots since it gets a bit more contrast and saturation, starts looking a bit like Ektar but with great skin tones and you get a slight cyan tint in the shadows which looks dope.
I’m new to film cameras. Do you get an option to have the photos you developed digitally scanned as well like the photos in the video? I’m tired of taking a picture of Polaroids with flash on my phone lmao
Welcome to the party! I scan either through a lab, or on my own using a set up from negative supply and on my canon r5
Rate it at 400 and you’ll love the vibes !
I didn't mention it in the video, but I typically do rate my cameras at 400 when shooting portra 800!
@@geneyoon11 I just sent in a roll pulling it two stops...hyped to see the results!
@@geneyoon11I feel like that’s something quite important to mention
I think you just single handedly increased the price of Portra 800 hahaha
Hahaha I hope the price doesn't go up anymore 😅
YOOOOON!!!! CRANK DAT SOLDIER BOY!!!! YOOOOON!!
hahahaha
how about kodak supra 800?
I've never shot it but would love to!
