Thanks for explaining everything in detail I ordered this case abs watched 6 videos and NO ONE was showing HOW you actually get the camera into the case!!! Appreciate that you broke this down
This video helped a lot... I just bought this case after buying a media mod that I'm currently using as desk decor. Oh, and I bought a display mod and haven't heard anything about the release date after being told to pre-order. smh
WORTH IT OR NOT? That’s awesome haha. Hopefully someone will discover you and use your voice to a greater use. Keep up with the content. You’re awesome!
Great vid. the way i see this is a better way of vlogging than getting a fifteen hundred dollar camera setup and lugging that around. i'll pick the 2 pounder over the 5 to 6 pounder setup anyday. 🤙
I agree, with the leaps and bounds action cameras have achieved in image quality, they make sure a better vlogging solution at a fraction of the price.
I really like the Ulanzi cases with my GoPro 5 and 7. This is a better solution I think than the media module. I’ve heard the mic on the module and really, it’s not the best for vlogging or even general filming. It’s supposed to be directional but listening to it, it sounded more like an omni to me. It picks up even from the rear, so if I went the GoPro 8 route, I’d do this I think and put a decent mic up top.
I also use the Ulanzi on my Hero 6 & 7 all the time and now it's nice to have something for the Hero 8 as yes, the audio on the 8 is better than the previous versions but still lacks a lot to be desired IMO. External microphones are always the way to go rather than using the built in microphones on any camera. You should come to NAB in April !
What’s worrying Andre is the mic on the media module isn’t great at all. Forward facing but almost omni. I was thinking about flying over to USA actually but just recently had problem with health. In hospital last weekend and not been great this week. Not even made any videos. Maybe heart issue.
Great videos very informative they have helped me alot, is there any same as ulanzi or other brand that gives you hdmi out same as the gopro mediamod? I think the mod is expensive for what it is especialy the hero 7 has it on the chasis i bought the hero 8 without knowing this
I’ll admit this setup with that microphone sounds great but I’m waiting on the GoPro audio media mod as it comes with external microphone built in and still allows an external microphone with mounting on top of it. You should test that.
This looks like a really good solution for a convenient vlogging setup with good sound! Question - when the camera is in the frame, can you remove the battery cover piece and pull out the battery, or do you have to remove the camera from the frame to change batteries or media card?
Hi brother, I am very new to the vlogging setup so I just bought the hero 8 and that microphone. What else do I need to connect that external microphone. This case or anything else, I am super new that's why.
Hi! Unfortunately, I can't find a solution anywhere on how to connect a Rode external microphone to the huawei p30pro. Maybe this gopro mic adapter will work. Can you check it with a usb c smartphone please? If it work i will buy one.

Thanks for watching
Been using this setup on gopro hero 7 for about a year now best case ever thanks for sharing
Ulanzi does a great job with these add on items and the MOVO microphone sounds great with it.
because of this video, I'm buying my own Ulanzi G8-5, thank you!
Great to hear!
Nice set up. I am putting mine together now. You are correct that the rear cover on the Ulanzi is a tight fit, very tight.
Thanks for your chill & helpfull video !
Thanks for watching
Now that's a tight set up. I have the Movo myself, it's a nice mic.
MOVO does make some nice microphones.
Great review! Video was very helpful! 😃 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this review.. might as well buy tha Ulanzi
Thanks for watching

You should be a radio host, spokesperson or sport announcer. Your voice would be perfect.
Haha, thanks ! I used to be a Radio DJ back in the 80's/early 90's
WORTH IT OR NOT? That’s awesome haha. Hopefully someone will discover you and use your voice to a greater use. Keep up with the content. You’re awesome!
Have you done any videos showing how to do set up for videos, photos and time lapse features? I just got mine and have never used one before
No I haven't but I can try to do one in the next week or so.

Nice setup. I am interested in your opinion about the SJ 10 Pro you showed. When will you post up that video?
The SJ10 might just be the best SJCAM has ever made. Videos coming soon :)

@@iancraig : Oh geez, so sorry to hear Ian. I hope it's nothing major and an easy fix. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers buddy !
Thanks Andre. Not sure yet. Knocked me for six.

No this is not like the Media mod in regarding to giving you a hdmi out.
Nice. How much is this media mod kit thing you mention? Just curious, don’t know if I’m looking at the correct thing when I google.
The audio media mod is $79.00

This is a really nice setup. If GoPro wants to send me one to test I’ll be more than happy to, or you can send me yours lol

Hey Jeff, Yup, just remove the metal slide and you can easily remove/replace the battery and sd card.
I bought the Ulanzi cage just for the adapter slot. Looking for a good mic option now. All this to avoid SLRs for as long as possible. 😬
The Movo is a great choice
i think the problem is the door on the side, doesn't look weatherproof due to the gap at the top exposing the side of the battery and SD card.
Non of the external cages/cases for adding an external microphone are weather sealed, not even the GoPro media mod
@@WORTHITORNOT I used my G8-7 door instead on it, the gap is nearly eliminated, a lot better than what it was :)
On the GO Pro Mic Adapter, next to the 3.5 mm plug there looks like a USB Port. Do you know if it is a USB 2 or 3, micro ect ??
It's a USB type C

You need to buy the audio adapter here: amzn.to/36nQ4bo

Sorry, I don't have the huawei p30pro
Sir, how do i get this ? i just brought my GoPro Hero 8 so i need everything. Can you please where can i get let me know.
Look in the description of this video, it's all listed there.
hi were did you buy your 2 in 1 tripod
I'll have to dig around and see where I bought that from as it's been quite a few years now. I'll report back.
Which tripod is that?
Unfortunately, they are no longer available as a ton of people have asked about it over the years.
Has this been released yet?
Yes, the link is in the description
WORTH IT OR NOT? I tried the link, it may be out of stock then. Bummer..
