Taking The Harley to a Custom Workshop & Pricy Pizza in Stamford

- This is an eXtra video from Mr Darcy & The Ol' Man.
The Ol' Man gets a call from Darcy, who is currently in Seoul Korea, and takes his Harley-Davidson Softail Standard to a custom Harley workshop (Matchbook Custom) and used showroom near Stamford in the UK to put the bike up for sale www.mbc.style/ and while he's there, has a look around the workshop and showroom at some very cool customised Harley-Davidsons.
After that, he goes to the lovely ancient town of Stamford, for a very expensive pizza and before that pops into an antique shop.
A light-hearted video vlog for entertainment and humour, that doesn't quite fit with our main channel, hence eXtra!

That place is fab, love the way it’s all integrated together, thanks
Nice video. A change from your usual offerings. Good to to see the missus again. Cheers ✌️
Matchbook Custom is reason enough to go to Matchbook Custom. Very cool place to just hang around bikes and relax with a drink in your hand. They're awesome 🥰
Cool place to go to thanks for showing us around. The shop merchandise looks great 👍🏼
Stamford is a wonderful place. After following your channels, I have been influenced to buy a Harley, which I had never considered before. My first Harley is an 883 low with forward controls, and although it might not have fantastic brakes, outright power or brilliant suspension it has a soul that other bikes I've owned have not possessed 😊
@@disfiguringthegoddes awesome, great to hear 👍🏼
I loved the camera angle through the handlebars. I jes' cruisin' on down the road.😁 Pretty cool place.
@@lilynorthover8378 thank you 😊
MBC, great place 👌
Great vlog Ol'Man, thank you. Regards, Mo 😊👍
I was there this week, great vibes
Pizzas sold by the acre! Highly Flavoursome.
Stamford looks like a nice place. 7:00 What about those two grandfather clocks to your right as you walked in? 🤔
I remember when Pizzas were $6 for a large. Now it's $20 min for a medium. Crazy times we now live in.
MADNESS
The pizza!!!😋
now i want one of those clocks ;;; and a giant pizza ;;
Was really hoping Darcy would have a " guilt trip" about parting ways with his Harley and decide to keep it as a Sunday bike. Matchbook Customs looks like it has some really interesting bikes in stock so will add them to the "Must visit" list. On the pizza front I recently visited a Pizza Express ordered two pizzas ,some olives, three portions of dough balls and a bottle of sparkling water, that little lot came to £75:00 , I thought they had given me somebody else's bill , crazy times we live in.
WTF? Seventy five quid for just a meal for 2 or 3 people? Surely that can't be right?
I remember when their pizzas were about 4 quid back in the 90s. Thing is, wages were about the same back then and they are now. People need to ask more questions about how the fiat money system actually works.
Have you recently found a golden scratch card. Lovely house, smart new motor, looking for an antique grand father clock. Or it could just be good old fashioned hard work. Good luck to you...
Thanks for sharing, US is not much cheaper these day..... prices really moved up a lot ....
Nice to see Mrs. Old Man. Should see her more often and miss Girlfriend-of-Darcy. And, of course, the doggies.
That’s where I take my Harley, cracking place. Not to pizza express you understand 🙃
I paid $51 for 2 pizzas in Columbus Ohio US a couple days ago. It is getting ridiculous everywhere. 😎
Wow! and I thought restaurant prices were high here in the US.
Three burger and chips, + pud, one round of drinks, two of which were non alcoholic, £96 quid in Worthing.
It was nothing special either.
Sign of the times. 🙄
Hope you have better luck selling Darcy's Harley than i am with my Gold Star. I've seen a number of bike i fancy but no dealer, as yet seems to want the BSA.
I'm just a clockmaker with a diploma in Horology.
Bought my first Harley 883 new in 1988.
Moved to a 1995 evo FXDL because I couldn't live with the tank range, on my third Harley now, a 1999 FXDL.
If you want to destroy the value of your Harley just customise it to your own taste.
Happy days from sunny Devon.
Don't pay more than £200 for a beautiful long case clock at your local BHI auction.
It'll be cash only, lucky if they can sell it.
There is some money in buying one with a place name and selling it back to where it came from.
You missed the star there, broken arch case bracket strike.
Vienna regulators were made to tick at the resting heart rate and have a dead beat escapement, very accurate but the second hand indicated minute is around 43 seconds, just the way things are,it's a complicated story.
@@theodavies8754 thanks on the clock advice 👍🏼
I bet Darcy will miss the old Harley! Funny coincidence myself and my better half had our first date in that pizza restaurant, it was expensive back then, of course I was too much of a gentleman to moan about the price in earshot of her anyway, lol.
Keep the Harley, it’s beautiful. You look better on it then the BMW
@@_S.E.J_ I don't have it, I have the R18 the Harley is Mr Darcy's 👍🏼
Sell the German, take the Harley!! 😂
@@charlesvan9726 not worth it as R18's have dropped so much and I really love it 👍🏼
Should of come to Oakham

Whats the music...its great.??
The new prize of the bsa gone down this must be influencing secondhand prices
Not keen on pizza.
Nice vid.👍 Size if those pizzas! On a negative note, l been watching the HD market for a while & not much is moving at all. I've recently sold my bike, the lowest owner, lowest mileage & newest year, to do that l had to make it the cheapest! The others are still for sale but at least l got £ in my pocket. I am 60 & right now is the worst sellers market l've ever seen and l'd forget about what you think your bike is "worth", because it's not.
Alternatively the best buyers market
@@neil-yn1ep Absolutely, you are right! But....there are not enough of them.
I find dealers to be con men and because they take a percentage of the sale, prices are then higher. It would be much better to just buy straight from the manufacturer and I doubt they'd lower prices because they'd want to screw you to.... At least we'd get way better sales. If they could just shop in a box straight to my door and I save a few grand, that is a much better option. Also the dealers aren't mechanics any more and whenever you take your bike to them for a service or whatever, they always try and overcharge you and screw you and often do a bad job anyways. I've had so many arguments in the past to the point I do it all myself now and everyone I talk to says the same.... So good riddance to them, they put themselves out of business.
In a shop full of clocks ,but in a universe where theres no time ,how disordered is that ,just a big lie ,like everything else.
I have no idea what you're talking about
My hovercraft is full of eels.
Dealers Underprice your bike
Unfortunately that’s the going rate for them at the moment in the UK
