My ex used to work an mans bait company many years ago. Office work. Anyway, got to be friends with the owners and the guys in R&D. There is a ton to know about how the “bill” effects the depth and action. I ended up doing part time guide work with them for clients. Most memorable time was when the guys from the group Alabama came down and we spent the day fishing! The bills can be modified on the fly to change the action and run more shallow. Most won’t recognize the pliers are specific to what you used them for in the video. Great video brought back some fond times for me. Thank you
How I wish I had those broken cranks I’ve tossed out over the years. 😑 And those that are hanging in the top of a Cypress tree. Don’t even mention those snagged on a submerged log.
@@RestorationbyAlabamaCreeks I personally don’t I’ve always wanted to tho cause it’s some of the best salmon fishing in the world. I just go for the rainbow trout they stock in the local lakes👍
Another learning experience for me. Not real difficult, it just wanted to save that lure. It has been a very solid performer for a couple of years. I broke it a few years back and always knew it could be repaired. Love UA-cam.
Nice job! Somehow I'm amazed that they sell Replacement Bills..........I feel there might be a Secret Underground World of Lure Parts that I didn't know existed.
I watch several vids on this topic and most folks used recycled acrylic plastic but I have never got lucky enough to find the right thickness. So I bought mine from Barlow's Tackle. Also, I'm sure there are more than a few fishermen up there in Michigan since your surrounded on 3 sides by some mighty big lakes. Huge market of fish tackle. Thanks for watching my vids.
I call'em redeyes..my favorite to.catch in the creeks around here.. them and a ultralight rod.. and you have yourself a great time!!! but I think maybe googly eye is their offical name... not too sure??? Anyways.. very sweet video I enjoyed it! The lure under water was pretty neat to see!
@@RestorationbyAlabamaCreeks never caught a small mouth in my whole life... but I'm not thru living yet..lol.. but that would be a trill..just to catch one.. 🤠
That fish is oFISHially know as a Rock Bass. The defining characteristic of a Rock Bass is when it is hooked it will fight like crazy for 10 to 15 seconds then he will go limp as a dishrag. Still a fun fish. And they are good eating as well.

Nice to know that they can be repaired. Love the pool test.

@@RestorationbyAlabamaCreeks I understand and feel your pain. 😢
Good restoration! I especially liked to footage of how it “swims” through the water.
Hey my patriot friend, glad you liked it. I'm wondering if you fish for salmon up there in the NW?

All righty, go ultralight and enjoy an ultraFlight. A 4.5 pound smallmouth on a 5.5’ rod and 8 lb test is the greatest thrill.

Nice repair! I like the swimming pool test!
That fish at the end looks like it coulda been a rock bass?
Thanks for the compliment my friend.
