I have done some mixes for a local venue and have been surprised - not by those of my generation who are pleased to hear it all again, but by millennials who have said how they are loving it, and how much it beats today's stuff, with its autotune "voices" and electronically enhanced tracks by people who might look very pretty, but have little talent. Today everything is geared towards age, beauty and above all, money for the producers. IMHO programmes like 'X Factor' and Britain's Got Talent' suck. Back in the 60s, 70s and 80s, people could really sing. My apologies to the exceptions today, but you prove the rule, I am afraid. Great post Frank and thank you.

Remember listening to Tavares during my disco days in the 70's. Lived in Queens but use to travel to Long Island on the weekends to the clubs. They were better times. Can't remember the club we use to go to but Tavares was the group .
