Yaman...once again....I think this raag has been explored by all music directors and this is another great use of the raag...But only a Rafi can give life to that raag the way we see it rendered in this song...Every singer of today must carefully listen to every word in this song and how Rafi gives expression to it...Of course, his voice was such a gift of God that it could support any expression that he imagined to give...The only regret I have is that actors like Dharmendra did very little justice to the great rendering that Rafi did behind the mike...In fact, Rafi always did more than 50 per cent of the acting himself in all his songs and the actors only had to do the remaining 50 percent...but many of them did not do that...Just listen to some of the portions of the song and the way Rafi has sung and see the expression on Dharmendra's face...Very little justice there...May be this is another reflection of Rafi's greatness that actors found it difficult to act to his great singing....

what a composition by unique o p nayyer, he was so unorthodox in his music creation, he was always melodious, wonderful fact of his life is he never learnt music from anybody, he was simply gifted, we are so grateful to him for creating such soul-soothing songs
