Value stream mapping is a process that helps companies see the big picture of their operations.
It can help them identify and eliminate waste in their process.
The end goal of a value stream map is to improve the flow of materials and information through the company.
⏩ What Is Value Stream Mapping?
Value stream mapping is a Lean tool used to identify and visualize the flow of materials and information from supplier to customer.
It can help identify waste and opportunities for improvement.
The map includes all steps in the process, from the time the customer request is received to the time the product is delivered.
The tool uses a series of symbols and colors to represent the different steps in the process and the amount of time it takes for each step.
By identifying and addressing the sources of waste, businesses can improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The benefits of using value stream mapping may include:

Thank’s sir, this is very interesting video as it provides me relevant info about the Value stream mapping✌️
Hello! I wanted to know how you would go about calculating takt if not all processes operate with the same amount of shifts? (i.e.: Process 1 uses 2 shifts whiles process 2 and 3 use 1 shift). Do we simply use the max amount of available time?
Have you ever heard about CUSTOMER TAKT TIME and INTERNAL TAKT TIME?
@@LeanVlog no what is the difference?
@@kofiaboagye711
Customer Takt Time = The customer does not take care of how may machine or shift you have.
Internal Takt Time = Is function of how many minutes you have available on the specific operation.
So they could not match.
Hence, what is your need?
A) To understand how fast your customer buy.
B) To undertand if the operation can meet the customer demand.
