Be my Valentine? Wish I had discovered this sooner. A little late this year to make for my special granddaughters. Though they will be late I think I will make them now any way.
Awww how sweet are you? I'm so happy you want to make this design. It's never too late to show a little love to the grands. Enjoy.
Love the pillow, I call Valentine's day a commercial holiday!
Thank you! I guess most (all?) holidays are commercial now. For me, I've been unlucky in love my entire life and that day is a big ugly reminder. Boo hoo. I'm over it though. LOL
Most certainly....really, we don't/ shouldn't need reminded to tell, or ask our loved ones for LOVE...
"Love language" is to be considered.....forgive ea other, forgive ourselves....
I understand that Valentine's Day can be so commercial. But, if each of us could make it special - cook a favorite meal for a loved one, or leave little notes for a special someone - we could fade out the commercial part of it and make it personal and special. Making this pillow for a best friend or partner would be great!!! Love the pillow!!!
Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment. Very doable suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
You give such clear instructions....simple precise, not alot of giggling and unnecessary talking...the yarn choice is clear and close enough...perfect! I can't follow with alot of chatter...you instruct, and quietly wait for us to catch up. Thank you..
Thank you for that. I really appreciate it!
@Debbie Wood I couldn't agree more. Some videos have so much background noise that I find it counterproductive. I wish UA-cam had a music/background noise off button so those, that find it distracting, like I do, could simply silence everything but the host speaking.
Lovely ! First time seeing this, truly enjoyable. Thanks. I am new in the crochet world but I'm gonna give it a try. You are so happy presenting, I focused more on your personality than the pattern. Truly inspiring.
You are so kind. I truly appreciate your comment. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.
I enjoy how well you explain everything. I am sharing you with my cousin so she too can learn from you. She is a cancer survivor.
Thank you so much. And thank you for sharing. I wish your cousin good health. Be well.
Thankyou l love your heart pillow pattern great tutorial thankyou again God bless
Thank you so much for the kind words! Be well.
You can be my valentine's friend💕
Yay! Happy Almost Valentine's Day!
Hi Sylvia!
I just wanted to let you know that my heart pillow cover turned out S❤️ cute ☺️! With a few minor adjustments, everything turned out really well. I did subscribe to your channel, and I can’t wait to see what crochet pattern you will have for us next☺️!
Yay! THank you so much for the update. Thanks for subscribing. That is very helpful.
Very nice pattern. I was just thinking last week about making a pillow cover. Thanks😊
Yay! Good timing.
This is super cute. I can hardly wait to get started. This will make an excellent gift for Valentines day or just about any occasion really. I think I'm going to get myself some graft paper and work up a few designs to go with this. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to design some of my own. You make this look so easy. I hope, designing something of my own, will be even 1/2 as easy as you make this look. Wish me luck 💛🙏
I'm so happy to help get your inspirational juices flowing! Have fun!
ooooo this one is so pretty! I love bobbles.. and I'm actually just in the middle of making one of your other pillow patterns.. :) Great job! You inspire me.
So kind! Thank you.
This is a beautiful pillow! Just buy yourself some expensive chocolate! Works everytime!
Yummmm chocolate! Sounds like a plan. Thanks for watching!
I've made two already to match the 2 crotchet blanket.
That's great to hear! Thanks for letting me know.
I chose to do the outline of the heart in a multi colour yarn. It's so damn cute!
AH! Multicolor yarn. I hadn't thought of doing that. Sounds beautiful! Thank you for letting me know.
Made one for my husband for Valentine's day...not perfect and I used an 18" pillow as mine was too small for a 20" one. Thank you for the inspiration :)
Yay! I'm sure hubby loved that you put in the effort for a handmade gift. Enjoy the day!
Es hermoso su trabajo, muchas gracias por compartirlo con nosotros. Bendiciones. Saludos desde México.
Eres tan bienvenido. ¡Gracias por visitar y comentar!
Gracias a usted, lindo día
I’d like to make this in a chunky velvety yarn, how should I adjust the pattern please?
At 3:34 in the video I explain why this particular size yarn was used. A chunky yarn won't work for this pattern. Thank you for watching!
How do you make it to different colors the heart a different color
You would need to do the bobbles, and the sc's in the sc rows within the heart, in the second color. I've never actually done that so I'm not sure how doable that is. Let us know if you try it.
I have a size 3 hook and size 3 yarn. Wanted to make a 16 x 16 pillow. How many chains should I start with?
I appreciate the question, however, I would need to recreate the project to completely change the yarn weight and smaller hook. The bobbles complicate the change in yarn. Thank you for visiting!
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Thank you for your answer!
Mam I have 4ply acrylic yarn .I just want to know which hook size shall I use and how many chains should I take for 16x16 cushions
I just this minute completed the written pattern and will post it on the blog soon. To get you started, use a ch of 46. Work 45 sc's for a total of 12 rows, then follow the bobbles rows in the video. End with 12 rows of sc's.
How many skeins would need to be bought to make the size in this tutorial?
This took 1.5 skeins. The detail is always in the description area, the white space, below the video. Click where it says Show More, or on a mobile device, click the tiny V next to the name Crazy Cool Crochet. Thank you for watching!
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Thanks so much! And I completely looked over that…I guess that’s what I get with looking in the description box half sleep. 😂
@@warrior4lyfe85 LOL. Totally understandable.
I was working a Premier hat pattern and it said to ch 1 to lock in the bobbe. They are probably not supposed to be worked in the next row as you said. Because I got way too many stitches. They should say that in the pattern. Ch 1 do not count as stitches
It's all in the details. If you work a sc in the locking ch and another sc in the ch over the bobble, you've worked 2 st's over the bobble. That will give you an extra st. So glad you caught that!
I so wish I would have seen your video before purchasing a heart pillow pattern on Etsy that doesn’t make any sense at all. Thank you for sharing this video😊! Also, can I use any type of yarn and hook size?
I'm so happy you like this tutorial! You can use almost any #4, as long as it's not too thick. If you change the hook size you might change the size of the pillow cover. The instructions in the video are for an 18x18. For 16x16 look here: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-heart-pillow-free-pattern/
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Hi Sylvia, I have a question about your written pattern. I understand that rows 37, 39, 41, 43, 45 are the 5 rows for the 19 bobbles stitch row. When I come upon row 46, you have it as a bobble stitch row as well. Isn't that supposed to be a single crochet row? I am a bit confused. Please help me unscramble my brain. Thank you!
@@kpi43 Row 46 is a bobble row. This might help: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-heart-pillow-free-pattern/
@@CrazyCoolCrochet I am looking at the written pattern, and that is where I am getting all confused🫤. So, rows 37, 39, 41, 43, and 45 are the 5 rows for the 19 bobble stitches correct? And 46 is a bobble stitch as well?
@@kpi43 Yikes. I think I see what you are seeing now. When I look at the written pattern on the blog, it shows Rows 39 - 45 rpt Rows 37 and 38. R38 is a sc row. The next row would be a bobble row. In any case, keep working the pattern alternating bobble and sc rows and you'll be fine. I have had many people make this pillow cover and nobody has caught that.
How many yards do I need.?
This is what I used. I didn't capture the yardage. You can Google it though. #4 Yarn; Yarn Bee; Soft Secret; color Chili Red; 1.5 skeins
