Of course Kanye’s to blame for the actual comments made in the rant, but the people in the room agreeing with him and supporting him and especially the person filming this is also to blame. Kanye is just surrounded by enablers who support everything he says, no matter what it is. Hope someone in that circle can help Kanye change for the better.
Unfortunately Kanye will never ever change. The truth is he's been like this since he was a small child. You can't undo 46 years of the same repeated behavior. Well as a Kanye fan since about 07 my liking him never had anything to do with agreeing with what he says often I cringed even at things he said in the 2000s , things that aren’t even controversial anymore by todays standards . It was more about just liking the idea of someone who wasn’t afraid to say what he felt regardless of the backlash and up until 2020 although I disagreed with things he said publicly, it seemed to come from a good place.
Now I’m disappointed since 2021 Donda era he’s clearly become brainwashed by conspiracy theories and I no longer feel great about the idea he has good intentions for all people.. though I’d still bet he doesn’t mean harm but it’s obviously dangerous territory he’s in with his beliefs of “the big bad Jews”
The one thing I am with him on is he is very pro forgiveness and anti cancel culture mentality.. and I am all for rehabilitation and forgiveness over condemnation and cancellation..
Also I will unapologetically still enjoy the music because I enjoy him artistically. And I will also try to defend him to some extent..
Some will call it mental gymnastics to justify his existence in pop culture but I feel more like I’m stretching my empathy bone.

I mainly feel bad for Casper David Friedrich, to be honest.
