    -----------------------------------------------------------------
As a novice home Landscaper, I appreciate having a smaller and easier to use hedge trimmer. The large, more commercial models are amazing, don't get me wrong, but I can screw things up very quickly with one. This small 8" CRAFTSMAN seems to give me the balance to get the cuts a bit better. As you see in the video, I still am not good at it.
The CRAFTSMAN CMCSS800C1 2-in-1 tool includes a shrubber blade for quick hedge sprucing and a grass shearing blade for trimming fescue grass and flower beds. Switch blades quickly and conveniently with the integrated tool-free blade change feature to make the most of this innovative kit.
This feels great in your hand with the rubber over-mold and is lightweight and maneuverable. To me, this tool is right for me and my skill level.

I need this! Not even a homeowner. There is a giant patch of grass at the end of the expressway exit I take to get home. The issue is, New York City Parks service is useless and lazy. Oh, they love to hang out a block away from my apartment, gossiping and stuffing their faces with food in the morning at the shopping center down there. But I never see them working.
The other issue is that at the end of that exit, everyone has to make a left or right turn. A right is no problem. But most traffic has to make a left across two lanes of on-coming traffic. What makes that into a nightmare is that large patch of grass at the end there. It grows tall enough to block your view if you drive a car. So every day I'm risking an accident just to get home.
With this tool though, I'd be able to cut the grass myself without needing something big and bulky that won't fit in my apartment.

The wife wants a mini trimmer. This I think fits the bill. Seems well suited for sculpting bushes which works for her.

Really nice! I need to buy one for my elderly mother, she would love it. I have the Dewalt 20v large model and I like it much better than a gas one. No engine to maintain for something used only 1 or 2 times a year.

For those who said they’ve cut a lot of expensive electric extension cords with hedge trimmers please try this ! Slide the cord through a belt loop on you pants and then connect it to your trimmer , there will be no additional slack getting in the way of your trimmer . I haven’t cut through a cord since !

@@snaketkt1377 honestly I wanted the Stihl HSA 26 garden shears but I didn’t have the money at the time to get it so I settled for the craftsman. I was trimming my boxwoods and they don’t cut all that great. Usually takes 2 swipes so have some patience. I’m going to return mine and get the Stihl. Also The grass trimmer attachment works really good on the craftsman.

I got a Ryobi one just like that last year for the wife to use in her flower beds etc ...it just didn't cut worth a crap really...she had me use it ,and I thought the same, but yours seemed to cut fine maybe the craftsman is better or blades were sharper idk, great review like always 👍✌️👊

This has round metal around the cutting area that is for safety and they can cause a little push, but not much. I think it cut really well for the size and use.

I see a lot of these tiny trimmers but I think they are too small. I think 12" would be a better size. Even for small bushes 8" is tiny.

    • @MrSupernova111

I was thinking about getting something like this for my cousin but I know all too well that she's not a tool person. She's bound to cut her fingers off with a power tool. Her husband is even more inept as they had a corded hedger and he cut the power cord with the tool by accident. Its a shame because it would make her gardening much easier.

@@MrSupernova111 and... ur point? Must be a liberal. Hahah chainsaw is more dangerous than the hedge trimmer. Hedge trimmer cant kick back and cut ur leg off or lay ur guts on the ground.
