But skill, you forgot to add that the derpy gun has -6 degrees depression instead of -5 degrees depression of the sniper gun, and sniper gun has better shell velocity then the derpy gun normal ammo velocity
He do not forgot, he just don't know about many technical details. He do not use tanks.gg

Too bad 9 out of 10 times the battle is lost in the first minute, that's why he was mad. If it wasn't for skeel it probably would have been another loss, because of turd campers. Still, lashing out is not nice, better to just ragequit wot, relax and let the tomatos play.

I loved every minute in the T-54, except when the gun would troll me for a whole battle. Also, it's great watching you experiment with different builds. Please keep these coming!

The dreaded cockroach. It used to be that there were platoons of T54s wreaking havoc in any matchmaking, in any map. Spamming heat. When you see them in enemy team, you pretty much go on the defensive. That was in the old WoT...

I have a challenge for you Skill, why not do an "Everyman" series?
1. Tier VI or VII tank (doesn't have to be stock, can have up-specced gun etc)
2. Free 50% crew.
3. Basic First Aid, Fire & Repair kits only.
4. No consumables and no directives
5. No accessories or camo paint, just the basic tank.
6. NO GOLD AMMO.
Show us what can be achieved with tanks as we would often have to play them.
If you are looking for extra ideas for videos, this could spawn quite a few.
Up for the challenge??

@@tranques8075 That's the way most of us mere mortals start each our tanks is my guess. I would like to see what they can do in that state when wielded by an expert, rather than what they can do with a 10,000 hour experienced crew and with unlimited credits thrown at them. Realism!
@@patdavis6383 Maybe the newest players during the first couple hundred battles, but it doesn't take long to figure out a 75% crew is worth the extra credits when starting a new tank. Most frugal players still start with a 75% crew.

You should have put the second stabilizer in the mobility slot in order to get the bonus, as that piece of equipment can use that slot.
It's bounty equipment, which inherently gets the bonus, no need to worry about slots! Besides skill's usual response to criticism is reeeeeeeeee!

T-54 is my most played medium with over 700 games and I played the first 400 with the dmp gun, and tbh I think both guns are great and that the weaker handling stats on the dpm gun aren't noticeable.
Love the T-54, was my first top tier tank (back when heavy tanks were the only tanks with tier X tanks.) Nice to see that the T-54 is still very much an awesome tank. Might play some games as T-54 for old times sake, love your videos skill! :)

The T54 is a tank I will get. I have fought against it. I have a T44 which is good, but the gun problem is a 13 second heavy gun vs 6-second tier 7 gun which is a good reason to get the funds to move up. So many tanks so many choices. It is good to have some distance between tanks so maximum firepower can be utilized. I think that is not selfish depending on how it is applied. Good video and informative.

Would you not have got a tiny bit more improvement in 2nd setup if you put Improved Rotation Mech in 1st slot for the small boost in stats? (vstab not a match for mobility slot)
This was very interesting and helpful skill.
Showing us the pros and cons of different set ups is so much better than blundering though & wasting time, credits & gold to see what works.

I think you are always forgetting one simple fact - the maximum view range is 445m and no vehicle can be spotted beyond this range. So, the use of Optics is almost useless in this case, since it is effectively adding only 7m of view range. So, you are only using 15% of the Optics full potential, in my opinion it is just a waste of equipment slot.
24:20 - Your view range is definitely not sucking a massive pp. The white circle on minimap is maximal view range and the green circle is your actual view range. And they are almost the same if I am not mistaken...
Yes.. but,
Every meter viewrange beyond 445 actively decreases enemy camorating. If you have exactly 445 m viewrange, you won’t spot most tanks at that range as most tanks have some decent camo values. Using optics in this case helps a lot with spotting tanks at such ranges.
@@sebastienvantiggele5182 Interesting theory, I have never heard about that before. Now I did a more research and you are absolutely right. I lived in a lie my whole WoT life :D Maybe it has something to do with the fact, that the spotting range used to be square while I started with WoT. Things change way too quick.

Cheers Skill, Karloz, I like these sort of video's. I'm having some fun experimenting with the new equipment and it's good to see what you think too. It's adding new possibilities for some tanks. I find a good setup for meds to be 1, Improved aiming. 2, Bounty Rotation Mechanics. 3, Optics. But I'm not sure if that setup is better than the golden choice. Or standard choice of Rammer, Stabilizer, and Optics. It's a good setup though. For gun handling and view range. Most important things right?.. :) Cheers guys... Peace!!!!

Are you serious Skill ?! After struggling to mark my T54 and looking for build advises you release that video the same day I got it done ! (194 battles needed.... arghh 50% WR).
I noted you played the T-54 more like a sniper than a brawler at greater distances. At the distance you were shooting (“I am a bit paranoid”) at your accuracy and impact of your shells - you nerf yourself slightly but in fairness I agree with your game play. You just showed everyone how to play the T-54 the only way to succeed in it as I learned getting my butt kicked figuring it out. Good video.
I went the 430u route when i went down the med line but still unlocked the t 54, now its top of the tree so i went and bought it.
Im not sure which gun ill end up going with, they both have their pros and cons

Hi Skill, about the equipment, i don´t to be some smartass, but did you know, that you can boost you Rotation mechanism if you will put it in 1. slot? Under the 1. slot is little icon (for medium tanks "tachometr")

..btw for 2nd build you should be using vents instead of 2nd VStab. 2 stabs are okayish for loaders only.
Loved this tank back in the days, then it got outdated. This is cool when you can build it good again :)
I did not like playing this tank. Kept getting trolled by both guns. I don't like to shoot gold rounds either so that is definitely a factor. My favorite tier 9 medium is the Centurion 7/1, with the Standard B and AMX 30 tied for 2nd place.
I really wanted to see how wents instead of roatation mechanism worked, because it would make the gun more accurate (but more dispersion while moving and traversing) and also more DPM and more viewrange. I'm curious.
In the early days this tank was the strongest T9 medium and I still believe it is one of the best T9 mediums.
Skill can u make work is5 gun with upgraded bounty vstabs, and upgraded rotation mechanism? Maybe wont be derpy gun handling after all

Hi skill, I think you did not mention that the DPM gun on T-54 also provides you with an extra degree of gun depression. That might justify the worse accuracy a lot better than just raw DPM
It would still be very very nice to make a list of new equipment set-ups, with alternative versions, nobody will protest that :-)))
Ngl - I played through the T54 while the 140 was top of the tree... didn't like it at all. For me the T55A is just better in anything (I know armor on the T54 is better but since everybody from tier 5 up is spaming gold armor doesn't really matter tbh). Love the T55A... piece of art tank

@@ScoopzyDaizy Lol not at all. Way better gun/gun handling, T55 has worse armor but it a bit more mobile (except the top speed).
So all in all - They are very similar, but the T55A has the way better gun and that make is way more enjoyable for me.
Correct me but I think t 55 A isn't that great it's mostly the better player play it. The gun handling is a dream, but 220 pen is in current wot a limit. But as the armor is mostly useless, ( Super hellcat AP pen in front hull, 140 er standard right in turret front etc etc) my Standard B with 10 gun depression and 65 kmh and 268 pen 1450 m/ s is a far better tank even after the nerf.

You have 1 less second reaload on dpm gun just use the better accuarcy one
Im currently trying to mark this tank and im on 89,45% MOE (I use the shorter gun becaouse i like gun depression and dpm rather than accuracy).
Regarding guns, I think derpy one has better depression (-6 vs -5).
I'm pretty sure one gun gets an extra degree of gun depression as well. I could be remembering wrong though
DPM gun is the way to go, standard rounds are good for everything except front of t9/10 heavies and gun handling is ruski on both guns so it doesnt matter what are the stats to be honest

At least the high dpm isn't as inaccurate as the WZ-120s gun!
I used the DPM gun with rammer, vents and optics... always brawled and I had to sell my T-54, because it was just too easy to play with that tank. (This was before Equipment 2.0, but never felt like the gun is too inaccurate.)
You are right, i don't enjoy soviet tanks they are like easy mode not fun at all.
