Hi Brendon. Update from Poland. That guy who shot someon in his ass was wearing a vest which is marked as a Judge of Polish Sports Shooting Society. I remember one time I went to this town and they had a show where these people were doing fake dules with blanks and the announcer told the crowd that they were blanks and then put the gun up to a can and fires. The can was almost torn in half and then held up the can and said again. "Just a blank, so please don't cross this line."
Jackson Hole, WY? Saw the same show like 20 years ago. Old west shootout - was awesome. The instructor there did the same thing you just said - just like you said.
I saw a similar show in Virginia City, NV, and they did something similar. Blanks can kill you, too! I seem to recall there are actors who have been killed messing around with blanks because they didn’t think they were dangerous.
Muscle memory of catching the table usually holding the vodka, who cares someone just unlocked second butthole with help of a slug. Yes, it was a shotgun slug. Before my son was allowed to shoot a weapon, for a week, he was given a stick and advised on "The Basic Rules. Yes, he swept across his feet, swung around the room, and whatever else, but he learned. To clarify Brandon Lee died because of a squib load. The prop master didn't properly check the revolver Funboy was to fire at Eric in the scene and a blank actually sent a bullet that had slipped it's case and lodged in the barrel into Brandon Lee like a live round. The bullet had become loose and when loaded with the dummy rounds for a frontal close up of the revolver it managed to slide out into the barrel.
The prop department made the blanks by taking live ammo, pulling the bullets, dumping the powder, and replacing the bullets. It was for the shot that the pawn shop owner made with the camera looking down the barrel, so it didn't look like the gun was empty. What they forgot about was the primers. During the scene in the pawn shop, the actor pulled the trigger and the pressure from the primer was enough to pop the bullet out of the casing and get it lodged in the forcing cone, where it set before Michael Massie fired the same gun with blanks during the home invasion scene, sending the lodged round into Brandon Lee and killing him. It messed up Massie so much he almost quit acting.
I thought the bullet was shot with a weak load & became lodged in the chamber during a different movie. Then the blank load for The Crow propelled it into Lee. The firearms handler checked the cylinder for rounds, but had failed to check the chamber.
Great video. It is so sad how many people do not know what they are doing and how dangerous weapons are! Thank you for supporting dogs from being mistreated.

LOL no doubt I assume they have a delay on arming when fired so that acceleration g forces don't set them off possibly even safeties that wont let them arm until that acceleration ends i know little about such things though but just seems logical to me i vaguely remember seeing it mentioned in some movie or documentary on shoulder fired rockets at some point as well.

Its usually a "manditory" part of hunters education here to show the effect of a shotgun at point blank range by shooting a 2x4 with regular birdshot. People are usually quite amazed when they see those tiny pellets move as one big slug and almost cut that board in half.
Considering it's close to an ounce of lead moving at upwards of 1,000 fps, it's not actually that surprising that even a birdshot shell will annihilate things at close range. But I guess it just doesn't click until you see it happen.
These are the rules of gun safety I've learned as a non-infantry Marine working closely with infantry Marines in an infantry unit: 1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. 2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot 3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire 4. Keep your weapon on SAFE until you are ready to fire 5. Know your target and what lay beyond and in between 6. Have fun and don't fuck it up
I'm gonna commission someone to make a simple comic explaining those steps, make hundreds of copies and hand them out to local gun stores, hunter check in stations, and several other places.

@@yann2850_ sooo... you complaining about a person who don't like a game? I am confused on the entire point of your argument. While you are busy shooting up made-up people for enjoyment, he is busy doing things that actually mater.
The first video reminded me of the meme from the early days of the Ukraine conflict. There was a guy clearing mines from the road. With a cigarette hanging from his mouth he just picked them up and tossed them in the ditch alongside the road. No cares, now worries, just vodka and another day at work.
I mean, academically, I know anti tank mines take hundreds of pounds to trigger. I still would have a pretty hard time trusting that enough to demine a road.
The best thing about the Polish shotgun accident clip. Prior to the accident the judge described the manual and operation of the shotgun, and he got to the safety switch. He said 'Here's the safety switch. But you won't need that'. Yeeeaaah... 😂
I have a buddy that would always tell me at work "play stupid games, win stupid prizes." Luckily, the only piece of equipment we worked with at the time was a standard forklift. But since then, I'm hyper-aware of anything and everything that could take me to the next plane of existence. It's a good motto to have, at the very least, in the back of your head.
the only peice? bro the place i used to work had someone take one of those 'Standard forklifts' and started stacking and destroying managments trucks and cars in the parking lot after being fired. forklifts r no joke fr.
@Soundpost-f2l I did some fabrication back in high school. Cnc mill, cnc lathe, manual mill, and lathe. Before we were allowed to operate any of it, the standard scare videos were shown. Definitely not the videos I would've came across on my own
Keep up the good work! I posted a comment on a video about Alec Baldwin, and commented that he violated all 4 of the NRA safety rules, stating the rules in my comment. Some dude replied that NRA rules didn't apply because it was for a movie, and there was not supposed to be any live ammo on set. *sigh* That proved my point. I wish more folks would pay attention to your education efforts. People die all too often because a firearm was "supposed to be" unloaded. The car was "supposed" to be in park. The driver was "supposed" to stepping on the brake, not the gas. The circuit breaker was "supposed" to be off. Unfortunately, with Baldwin, an innocent was killed, and Darwin doesn't apply.
Sean Connery also broke those rules for James bond and nobody got hurt, it was for a movie, on a professional set, it is specifically not his job to check the gun for live rounds. I think Baldwin is a jackass but this argument is weak.
AFAIC - (As Far As I'm Concerned) - teaching gun safety begins with cap pistols when the kids are small. Yeah, I know I'm a killjoy, BUT, my kid will probably not end up doing an Alec Baldwin. When it's time to play cowboys, you can do a "pseudo check" declaring all guns safe enough for play ... makes the kids more responsible.
@@GageEsterly-us7xm Everyone is responsible for the firearm in their hands. It doesn't matter whether it was "supposed to be unloaded", because the death would have been avoided had Baldwin not broken the rules of gun safety. It's his fault. Deal with it.
I was going to sell my guns back to the government but I did a background check and realized they have a long history of violence and mental instability.

@@gedd6750 I don't think it's sad at all. Maybe I'm just callous, but as the saying goes, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." You can cure ignorance, but there's no fixing stupidity. Well, I guess in this case you can since he "fixed" the problem himself. Seriously, in what universe is this trashy thug behavior even acceptable, let alone "cool"? This is what happens when parents don't do their jobs as parents, something you see all too often with these so-called "rappers."
Brandon regarding the Polish accident: PZSS is a Polish Organization of Sport Shooting, but this vest is in common use by the judges/shooting coordinators on the ranges. (You can not shoot on Your own in Poland if You do not have the shooting coordinator licence "Prowadzący Strzelanie". Someone with this licence always have to be on the range). In that case it was the member from the other organization - LOK (for irony... League of Country defence...)
I remember a buddy of mine in the Marines, was unloading his M870 shotgun into a clearing barrel. The practice then, was to keep the barrel in the clearing barrel and rack the slide to eject the shells. While he was doing that, the primer went off on the shell. After that, we werr no longer allowed to rack the slide, but push on the extractor to remove each shell.
I live in Poland and I've been to a corporate event where time on a shooting range, with pistols, was organized AFTER dinner and copious amounts of vodka. I also spend lots of time out in the countryside birdwatching and have had shot splatter the area near me a couple of times. Drinking and hunting seem to go hand in hand here and people getting shot by mistake, and even sometimes killed, is not that rare an occurrence.
@GeoffBoulton Ok nice to hear that but you have violated the rules of shooting range resulting in felony. Best part is that YOU HAVE SIGNED THAT YOU UNDERSTAND, AGREE AND COMPLY WITH THEM
@@mkdir5847 You know there is a whole world outside of the USA where we don't have felonies and didn't have to sign anything before using the range. It's called freedom. You should try it.
That's the #2 Amendment. The NRA 12 safety rules, #5 is know how to use the gun safely. Every gun has an owners manual and a list of safety rules. My Marlin 444 has 26 rules. Traditions .50cal Deerhunter has 25.
Hello Brandon, this Polish sports shooter, credentialed PZSS member here. I am no champion, just an ordinary member, I compete in local events once in a while just for fun. Here is some context on this accident: 1. There are two major Polish shooting sport federations: PZSS and LOK. PZSS is the "designated" one, taking care of international competitions, national and olympic teams, etc. and is itself affiliated with ISSF, IPSC and IDPA. LOK is a (somewhat - more prominently in the communist past than today) paramilitary organization and a multi-sport federation, including shooting, diving, yachting and some other sports; it also runs many publicly available sports venues and driving schools. 2. The perpetrator was a president of a local shooting club federated with LOK. 3. He also was a credentialed PZSS referree 2nd class. His name appears in many publicly available protocols from official competitions. The vest he wore, reading "PZSS REFERREE", was reportedly not the official one. Maybe it was just an old model? or self-made? It really doesn't matter, as he WAS an official referee. He even wears some medal on his neck but I wasn't able to identify it. 4. This was not an official PZSS competition event, it wasn't listed in PZSS event calendars. Looks rather like a local get-together of some old chaps. 5. The shell was a slug. On the full video, ammo boxes are clearly seen. It was Polish brand ammo "PIONKI dynamic slug". 6. The media reported the victim was rushed to a hospital in a helicopter, and that he suffered butt cheeks injury only, no bones or internal organs damaged. Hell of a luck! 7. The accident happened in September, but the video surfaced only in November. Both PZSS and LOK presidents immediately denied they knew something about that before. The police started an investigation about 'leak of materials from an official investigation'. IMHO, it smells of a failed cover-up operation. Apparently someone lost a nerve over it and just leaked the video. And now the step-by-step description of action from the full-length video: 1. At the beginning, a vested guy is seen loading at least one slug into a shotgun. Then our hero is first heard off-screen vulgarly chastising other vested "referrees" for using live ammo instead of trainer dummies. 2. He then proceeds to demonstrate how to operate a pump-action shotgun, using said dummies: loads two dummy shells into the magazine (directing the gun nonchalantly towards the side berm BTW), and explains how to rack the handguard to load a shell into the chamber, pulls the trigger, racks again to show how to eject the spent case and load another shell, racks again etc., all on dummy shells. Further he says one must pull the trigger to unlock the slide. 3. He then says "here is the push-button safety, but you won't need it" (sic!) 4. Our hero now moves to the left side of the firing line (with two other gyus standing IN FRONT OF the tables), picks up the shotgun from point 1. and LOADS ANOTHER SLUG, not knowing nor checking that some ammo is already loaded into the magazine. 5. There is discussion between the "referrees" whether to allow five or only two shots for the shooters being instructed. Still another vested guy tells our hero: "Andrew, unload". 6. Mr. Andrew turns right, directing the gun towards the "referree" and the victim, both standing IN FRONT of the firing line which normally should be delineated by the tables. 7. He then rack the slide, supposedly trying to unload the shell he just loaded into the magazine in point 4. (it is not seen what's going on as he obstructs the cameraman's view but the sound of cycling action is clearly heard) . 8. BAM! he pulled the trigger... apparently trying to unlock the slide as he said before... The criminal investigation is ongoing, there are many contradictory media reports, we'll see what transpires from that, also politically and legally for all of us Polish shooters... sigh...
And for the record if you want the easiest way to get weapon licences you must be member of pzSS, and of course pay them ransom... i mean fee every year, and compete in competition (you can even have 0 points but you must be there and pay them again and again)... Yeah, post commie bastards...
Jesus fuck! All circumstances made it so he received as little damage from that shell as he could've possibly received. For soft tissue, and at that distance, a birdshot/buckshot shell would've been devastating, but at the same time, if the slug had hit the hip , it would've been horrifying to see. Still, the totality of the circumstances is egregious. No proper safety training and protocols, and very poor handling and understanding of the mechanisms of a pump-action shotgun led to a completely avoidable accident. Them trying to cover it up just makes it worse.
the last clip brought back memories of a video i saw a while ago of a brother and sister in a bathroom playing around with a gun with the safety disengaged when in a blink of an eye, the sister accidentally takes her brothers life and in the heat of the moment and instant regret, takes her own life. within seconds you hear and see the family members rush to the bathroom door and become absolutely hysterical about what just happened. absolutely terrifying and gut wrenching video.

Wasn't even the prop master, that dude had gone home for the day. It was some dumbass nephew of the producer who was supposed to check.
That's what the Yakuza want you to think.
I thought the reference was to Jon-Eric Hexum, who discharged a blank round into his temple on a movie set
I thought the bullet was shot with a weak load & became lodged in the chamber during a different movie.
Then the blank load for The Crow propelled it into Lee.
The firearms handler checked the cylinder for rounds, but had failed to check the chamber.

These are the rules of gun safety I've learned as a non-infantry Marine working closely with infantry Marines in an infantry unit:
1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
4. Keep your weapon on SAFE until you are ready to fire
5. Know your target and what lay beyond and in between
6. Have fun and don't fuck it up

Hello Brandon, this Polish sports shooter, credentialed PZSS member here. I am no champion, just an ordinary member, I compete in local events once in a while just for fun. Here is some context on this accident:
And now the step-by-step description of action from the full-length video:
3. He then says "here is the push-button safety, but you won't need it" (sic!)
The criminal investigation is ongoing, there are many contradictory media reports, we'll see what transpires from that, also politically and legally for all of us Polish shooters... sigh...
Thank you so much for the addition, now we can make a better full picture.
Poland strong!
jakim cudem mu dupy nie oderwało mimo że to był slug. ktoś tam wstawił proch z fajerwerek czy co?
Amazing detail thank you!

Probably taped a translation over the original inscription
Thank you ordnance nerd
Figured it was an arming distance thing
the last clip brought back memories of a video i saw a while ago of a brother and sister in a bathroom playing around with a gun with the safety disengaged when in a blink of an eye, the sister accidentally takes her brothers life and in the heat of the moment and instant regret, takes her own life. within seconds you hear and see the family members rush to the bathroom door and become absolutely hysterical about what just happened. absolutely terrifying and gut wrenching video.
Wouldn't have happened without a gun, right?
I love that the gun safety channel is advocating for DeleteMe, while also trying to ensure I don't accidentally DeleteMe (or others.)
"Did I pass the spelling test, Miss Greely?"
Wow, that Hind knocked him all the way back to the second grade!
Massachusetts wants Brendon as ATF director
Definition of an expert
An "ex" is a "has been"
A "spurt" is a "drip under pressure"
😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
The man, the mythle tism, the legend HLC coming in hot with the ordinance knowledge.
So how do I vote for Herrera for ATF boss?
I love the bants between these guys.
"Ordinance".
@markh.6687 fine. I'll change it.
@@eldestgruff "The man, the myth, the legend", now that I caught the other mistake. Don't know how I missed "mythle tism". :)
3:28 As a Pole, I can bet money that they lie.
Probably he's an retired worker placed here because of lack in hands.
Z tego co widziałem, to jest to w miarę legitne, zaś sam sędzia to z LOKu jest a nie PZSS.
I'm happy Brandon mentioned the Polish "safety officers" because they actually made it to our news. What a bunch of goobers
I feel bad for the guy that got shot but he probably runs a scam call center.😂
Timing is perfect. Ran into tech issues at work, and had downtime at the same time your video popped up.
2:47 Jeremy Clarkson: “All we know is… he’s NOT Dick Cheney! But he is Dick Cheney’s Polish cousin!”
all we know is: he's called the squib!
Didnt he punch a director or something
@@nickworthey5106 He punched a producer and the producer had it coming
@@nickworthey5106 you were correct with the first one
Brandon Herrera for President 2028

@amazelifegamer1508 at this point I wouldent be supprised lmao, he went from congress straight to ATF director, president is the next logical step

Brandon. I am not a gun enthusiast - not even close. But, I need to commend you for your emphasis on gun safety. You are doing a great service to the gun-loving community.
Brandon: This next video is of a rapper...
Me: Finally, there is a God!
Wow I thought it was only me. And apparently two other guys liking your comment
'Unfortunate' loss of life, but at least like, 5 more people will understand guns aren't toys.
Is it just me or …it’s quite obvious the guy cocking the gun at the party isn’t mentally equipped to be around any kind of fire arm.
@@robbieroe9834I believe he was talking about the video of the larger gentleman in the white clothing. Not the ending video.
Cousin marriage has consequences 💁♂️
No it's not just you.
It’s always nice to have a new video from our favorite ATF director
"Blanks can still potentially kill you." *Immedietly shows Brandon Lee*
Brandon’s already succeeding as ATF Director by educating the public on gun safety in a fun way…
And he hasn’t even been chosen yet!
What CAN’T this man do?
"So my buddy was deleting cocroaches with his .44 magnum on his apartment floor"...😅

7:51 oh hell nah you gave him a 7 second head start and you still dumpstered him 😭😭😭
To be fair, Shane Gillis had really great trigger discipline.
See you at the show in Boston tonight bud. Drove all the way from Lancaster county Pa couldn't see a damn thing on the highway because of the snow but we made it.
