That always surprised me that people would mess up on either of the Americas maps, because those are the two easiest to figure out

​@@NYChica23 While true, you seem to forget that the Gumshoe has to lug a heavy marker across the map, the map is deliberately upside down from the Gumshoe's viewpoint & there's a loud live studio audience cheering the Gumshoe on that might provide an unnecessary distraction. Plus, in the earlier seasons, Greg had to give out clues to the map locations rather than just saying them, which ate up the time the Gumshoe's had to successfully place the markers where they belong, thus making it more difficult to catch Carmen Isabella Sandiego.

It's not an exact science which map is the easiest. It all depends on what your geographical specialty is.
