I have a 8 month old great prynees/ german shepard we named Adama Lee. She when she was a puppy bit and chewed. We say "ouch" and make cry sounds and then we ignore her for 5-10 mins . We make sure she has bones, ropes and toys for chewing and they helped. YOu can instead of tabasco get bitter apple or bitter orange spray and use that on your hand if they bite you.Its bitter and not hot to them. I used it to train my other dogs.
Hi, thank you for your video! We recently got a great pyrenees, she's around 10 weeks old and she really likes to bites things (including our hands), we tried to give her a lot of toys to chew and says "no" if she bites a person, but she still can't control herself sometimes. I wonder if there's a better way to address her biting behavior? Or does the dog eventually bites less when they have grown up?
First thing is to show dissatisfaction and to stop engaging, also make a sound that you're in pain. Another technique, is to use something the dog doesn't like, and I know I'll get someone telling me it's wrong but if the biting keeps going, smear the finger with some Tabasco sauce (very little). And finally, you have to realize that they are going through teething, so they have to chew on something and bite on, so make sure you have toys like thick ropes, stuffed animals etc so they can get some relief. Hope this helps.
@@ysn5481 i had the same behaviour with my great pyrenees, when they bite you it is good to let them know you’re in pain but after that you also have to ignore them for some minutes because it is unwanted behaviour and you wanna make those ‘links’ in their brains. It’s normal behaviour after all so don’t panic it’s just a giant little baby ;) hope you’re doing good.
German shepherd, it is normal for this breed to wanta roam . After studying up on their kind I’ve been learning an doing things to counter the unwanted traits they have. Time an consistent repartition of spending time with them developing a bond is the biggest tool in ur journey with ur pooch.
I like it when she gives you the Pyrenees Paw.
She’s beautiful.
Not only that she has a beautiful personality. Thank you 😊

My puppy 8 months old enjoys eating spicy food with me LoL
that's resource guarding and its common with the breed
Luckily it's only to other animals,. I can take her food with my mouth and she would happily share.

How long did it take to potty train , I have an 13 week pyr
15 weeks or so..
My 2 year old Great Pyrenees intact male likes to run away. Is this normal ?
Yeah... It takes a lot of training to get them not to run away.
@@ureviews what kind of training ?
Obedience training.... But funny my dog just ran... She saw a flock of geese and just bolted. 😂

He's looking for female dogs in heat
one thing for sure Bella like to cuddle
She does!
yikes using a collar to stop a dog barking is crazy
Why? These dogs are known to be barkers. It doesn't hurt her. Just vibrates and makes a beep.
