I love the support the Russian women have for one another - the team ethic . . . and a brilliant recovery for Maria after her disappointment in the vault final

I swear Mustafina is always the first person to react to scores, like in 2010 worlds! she is switched on.

pappysprite the commentators never said she should be 4th. They were discussing whether or not she could've beaten Adlerteg's score who was in second place at the time. They agreed that she shouldn't be able to beat Adlerteg and she didn't. They didn't say anything about Scheder whose third place spot she took over.

I like her, but I have to agree with commentators, I would have put her in fourth I am afraid

so what Russian gymnast can't do bars? I know Anna Pavlova struggled. They must have the best bars coaches in the world.

Funnily enough Anna Pavlova was good on bars as a junior. At one point it was her best event and as a junior she won gold on the uneven bars at the European championships.

Really? Where did you get that? Kyla and Mckayla were best friends, Weiber, Raisman and Douglas had been on the Worlds team together. Either way, you don't have to be best friends to be a great team. Personally, I think you are wrong; the American team at the Worlds and the Olympics were much more unified than the Russians. Probably depends partly on the composition.
It really is cute to see Musty getting so excited for her teammate. IMO not a great routine, but whatev.
