We stayed at Lindos two years ago so have already visited Rhodes town . We are going on Marella cruise in July and one of the places that we are visiting is Rhodes town.

Hi. Thank you for your tips. I visited Rhodes 10 years ago and loved the history and beauty. Many fair and honest reasonably priced merchants. But there are always a few those who take advantage . The worst with that was Mykonos. But it is good to know what to watch out for in Rhodos too. Guess they're popping up out there, too. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully police will control the "bracelet sellers" and other characters. Still, most in Rhodes are still pretty nice and full-time residents. It's good to be aware. Thanks😊
Yes! Thank you for your kind words! The history and architecture is the main reason i decided to come to live in Rhodes! Too bad the "bracelet sellers" are popping up here too, I first met them in Tenerife where there was hundreds of them and i didnt really want to walk around the beach or city because they were so annoying. I hope they wont scare people away from Rhodes and people just ignore them. Too bad they decided to do their business at such a nice spot, but what you gonna do. Rhodes is mainly safe and close to 0% criminality, luckily :) I hope to see you visiting Rhodes soon, 10 years seems like forever being away from this amazing Island!

Have my trip to Rhodes literaly in 3 days and can't wait. Any tip for me? I will be located at Faliraki Beach and hope I will not see too many scammers or overpriced traps!
Nice to hear that you come to Rhodes! Havent seen scammers at Faliraki yet and you can avoid traps as following: If the you see menu and its prices, it is a good way to go, dont take orders by mouth only. See menu and prices first , that way they cant trap you. In faliraki i had the best Pita Gyros experience at Gyros Time and you should visit Greek Spirit restaurant in Faliraki on saturday (Greek Night) if you want to see how greek people really party , dance and break tons of plates while doing that.
One other thing, I would like to make it clear you are not talking about Punto Point by the mosque. I remember sitting in Punto point and watching a mother with two children charged 75 Euros for 3 juices, this was at a place I could see from there, one of two places I think you are refering to. I don't want to point finges either, but I don't want Punto Point caught up in this as they are a good business. Another thing you should point out is short changing, be carefull when purchasing at some shops, as the money is being exchanged they attempt to distract you and short change you at that point. Really only a few of them do this, but I had one vender attempt a 50 Euro short change, he failed and I don't go back to him, ever.
Yeah, thanks for pointing out. Punto point is all good. Best option is to open google maps and you notice these 1-2 star places to avoid. When i walk with my camera there are many eyes on me what am i doing and thatswhy i cant point fingers. Little tip - google maps. I have been giving my honest reviews on google maps for years now myself and i know you can count on that info :) There are always places in every country that sadly try to take advantage of tourists. So as not to confuse people the bar on the left at 24:00 is an excellent bar and will not rip you off, probably paying at most 4 euros for a pint of beer. I visit every year we are in Rhodes. The one on the right however at 24:16 is well know for ripping people off and do not give you a drink menu or prices, I suspect this is where this gentleman was overcharged. There are many reports on various forums regarding this particular bar.

Every year I come to Rhodes I visit the second on the left at 24:00, Venus, and they are greate to. I often sit there watching the inthrowers to the right. Nice video by the way ! I recognice the first scam you pointed out before the Mandraki port.....
@@Nicklas_Kwist65 yeah these ladys before mandraki port started to move around. As i walk by it seems they have seen me or my video because they want to talk to me from distance 😄

Hi, In one of your vlogs, you mention that there is a good gym in Rhodes City. Could you say its name, and street address? I am also from Tallinn. And I go to Reval Sport in the Old Town. Both my Estonian GF and I have been to Rhodes many times. And we both enjoy your vlogs.
Hi! I would suggest to try something different when you come to your holiday like outdoor gym(because of the weather) . I talked about the outdoor gym near rhodes old town walls( park near Vironos street . There are 2 types of equipment, one that is prehistoric flinstones equipment which is cool like stone rocks press bench and old tractor tyres etc and next to it has some hydraulic new aga benches. I you are looking indoor gyms then you can check up Myoxygen gym at Afstralias 48 , some locals recommend it.
I came home again 3 weeks ago after 2 weeks in Rhodes. I walked around a lot as well in the new and old town. A big part, if not the most, of the restaurants had "in- throwers". I found it a bit annoying after a while.

Yeah it is a part of culture, luckily they are not so agressive (as Tyrkey) and you can easily walk by :)
I don't think this is as much of a problem as it was 20 years ago. A lot of restaurants and bars has started to realize that sensible tourists avoid places with "in-throwers".
2022 when i visited Rhodes, those women tried to talk to me and give me a bracelet. I just kept saying no but it wasn't a nice experience.
Yeah, we experienced the same the hard way few months before we came to Rhodes so we knew what to expect. I hope lot of people get aware of that scam :)
This happened to me and my husband a few uears ago ,when i was taking some money out of my purse the woman tried to put her hand into my purse ,my husband threatened her to make her leave me alone , I've been to rhodes lots of times but only had this happen once ,i would go back as i love the place ,but not to that part ,the greek police should do something ,by the way these women are africans not greek women ,the greek women are lovely ..
Yes, people should look out more around them. Rhodes is lovely place and I hope much people won't get trapped by them.
If the price is too high for something you want to buy, bargain about the price, the Greeks do.😅

Taverna Kostas is one option. I am now at Mama Sofia and this food here is absolutely amazing! Will make a review tomorrow
Yep definitely try to visit Mama Sofia. So far my best experience in old town. It may be hard to find table sometimes but the food here worth every penny. A little higher prices than in Kostas , but now i have a place to get the best meat if i want :)
