Two of the world’s best. Frantick is an artist, best slo-mo in the game, one of the strongest and cleanest hits ever, and imo the best solo performer in the popping world. However, Kite was simply extraordinary in this battle. Some of the best sets I’ ve ever seen. He was especially otherwordly after his Samurai performance with the sword on the floor. His dancing from there on was simply unbeatable.
Kite's 3rd round was too dooooooope! the samurai character was so unique, the flow was so good. I only ever see a popper play out a character/theme like that when doing creature or robot/animation. He even looked like he was about to throw in some samurai capoeira for a sec there

I felt like this whole thing was messed up cause in one way Frantic won (if going by the first 3 rounds), but in the same token he lost overall (Kite won 3 rounds out of the 5 rounds they danced).

I think when people go to judge battles like this or battles in general they don't take into account fundamental things that they should be taking into account. This is DANCE. Popping/Animation/Hip Hop comes from the groove. The bounce. People see clean moves and assume because "so and so" had cooler looking waves, and his robot looks better, and his dimestops are more noticeable that he's "better." You need to first understand dance. Who had better groove? Who had more feel? Who appeared to be more connected to the track rather than coming off as doing a rehearsed set? Who displayed better rhythm? Who had better connection between moves? Who had less resets? Who has a larger foundation of style? Who had less boring rounds? There's a LOT of basic things to consider. Just cause your animation technique is clean and you do a cool concept doesn't mean you win against an insanely skilled and foundationally developed dancer. I do enjoy the both of their styles but you gotta understand WHAT IT IS that you're judging before making judgements AS IF you know.
Frantick doesn't do sets and has a much more complex approach to the rhythm than meets the eye. In my opinion Kite only killed the 3rd round, the rest being debatable. I don't like at all the way he uses his hands in the second part of round 4.

Popping doesn't have an specific bounce. I don't want to spend a lot of time explaining why, try to search the history of this style and then you'll find out a lot of things.
Not sure how this went to a third round. Frantic was a clear winner. Kite pops while looking down. Shoulders droop. Even danced ahead of the songs at times. This did not seem close to me.
Kite was teaching popping to the world when Frantic was still a junior. The top 10 poppers all took on kite's style in popping. And kite is still in the top 3 of poppers where as frantic could never even come close to the top 10. He's good, but frantic very limited moves and styles. No rolls, no good boogaloo's etc etc.
Will go down in history as one of the best battles in our community
