Pretty much exclusively ride alone, now. I am not the normal "target market" for eSkate. I'm female, in my 40s. I don't have muscle mass to protect me, or youth. If I fall, I get hurt. Every single time. Even if I'm doing like 15kmph, at the time of the fall, I'm going to be limping for days, at best. So, I ride at speeds that are suitable for me - which is typically sub 30kpmh. Most riders seem to be guys in their 20s, and they all want to go as fast as possible - so I'm just deadweight on a group a ride. I am not going to go at 40kpmh because I can't afford the injury if I fall. I have kids to get to school, bills to pay, etc. So, I am always aware that I kind of "don't fit in" anywhere.
    But I still enjoy it.

I am 50 and ride a DIY mountain board because of my snowboarding background. I know what you mean about falling and getting hurt. Also, about being a lone wolf rider, as I started off on a Onewheel about a year and a half ago, and patrolled along the beach paths on my own. Then one day I ran into an even older guy on an esk8 who was waiting on a local esk8 group ride, the Gold Coast Electric Skateboard Riders Group here in Australia , and just like that, I was ushered in. The group has old and young, fast and slow, 1, 2, or 4 wheels, and so far only male and female riders. They even have a motto, "no one left behind". So they will tow, or should I say, drag you back to your car, and enough stops that lets everyone catch up again. So my point is, I wear the gear, as much protection as you can, full storm trooper. If you find a local group, go for a few rides with them, you might find a riding buddy, or a great group.

Never ride at any speed without being absolutely sure of your path! people will say always look forward, no. AlWAYS keep an eye on whats in front of you immediately. On my AT bamboo gtr i hit a 3in raise in the sidewalk and got launched off, fractured my arm , and snapped the board from me going forward/stopping instantly, i was looking for cars at an approaching intersection and not what was right in front of me.

This is great! I had a tip to add for the folks that want to tinker and self repair Eskate. Always remember that you are handing very high voltage. Stay safe.

I just picked up my first eskate, a bamboo hadean. I don’t know anyone else with one so I always ride alone. I always head out early on a weekend morning, about 6:00 when there is virtually no traffic. Whole place to myself pretty much.

A lot of these rules and safety issues Ive learned from was from mountain biking . Had plenty of injuries from that and what ive learned transitioned over to skating

in terms of serviceable... my first 2 boards were cheap hub boards that I couldn't really work on as hard as I tried, just bought a prople pivot GT a bit ago (300 miles in) and I'm realy happy with how serviceable this is.

    Awesome video Bro.!
I have been following you when it comes to ice skates. Now I'm following you with this electric skateboard channel before buying a new one. I am a conventional skateboarder and trying to switch to electric version. I guess this will help me to choose which brand I will go for. Thanks Bro for all your input.👌

You’re videos rlly r so awesome. Everytime I have a question about eskate ur videos r always right there. Even if and when I’m bored waiting for my Exway Atlas Pro - (Which was chosen in large part due to your stellar & thorough, well paced and organized reviews) - to charge your content is just genuinely entertaining. You bring good energy! Glad you found success on UA-cam ❤

Yeah. Your first should be special. As you grow you will develop your own style. And as you grow so will your style. So what you think might be your next board might change as your style, experience and needs change.
    💯💯💯☝️☝️☝️
Thank you for making this video.

I just wanted to say having the pleasure of meeting @Nevariden at Esk8con last year (at the Tommi Boi Esk8 booth) he couldn't be more right! I switched recently to a 60MPH ebike/motorcycle (whatever you want to call it) because me and the board I love struggled to keep up with guys doing high speeds and long range. It seems like a lot of people are switching to ebikes or EUC for the same reason. I have personally stopped riding esk8 with groups as I no longer have the range, desire, or board (that weighs 80lbs and has a 18S 20P battery) to do 50+mph. I thoroughly enjoy carving like a crackhead (personally stole your line as it describes my personal style of riding) and enjoying the ride. If I need to keep up with group rides these days I take my Onyx RCR that can do 60mph and easily 50 or more miles of range. Apologies for the long rant but I couldn't agree more and its equally great to see you back and making videos.

I was the other way around. Since I got my board I no longer want to ride anything else and frankly don't even care if I'm riding along, I just love riding it, lol! But I agree with your point if your buddies are on a fast ebike or scooter, especially on the streets.

Bought my first all terrain board couple days ago, already did 50km with it. Changed from the wowgo3 to the wowgo at2plus. Been riding for a couple of years/seasons now and really love wowgo. Do you ever consider riding other decks then evolve or do they sponsor you?
While watching already got some answers😅

Insurances should be on that list, namely, life insurance and civil liability insurance.

I wont touch evolve because of the separate accelerator and brake. I know that sounds silly, but I just dont see the point and it divides my attention. otherwise I might have looked before now.

Do u really need to sway side by side when riding a skateboard??? Can u just standcon it and have it move.??

    • @tlxtechgaming8595
      @tlxtechgaming8595 Місяць тому +1

If you don't at least bend your knees and shift your weight, it will throw you off from the acceleration/deceleration, but technically, yes you can just stand there but it's not as fun the swaying helps with balance turning at high speeds carving ect. Trust me once you get comfortable on it your gonna find yourself more "loose and playful" on the board.
