One Qb, is the mobile one and runs past the offensive line that just blocks for his run , the other Qb, passes for longer gains, the Chargers just signed a back up Qb, so now we can see if the Chargers change things around, in smart ways.

I think catching the ball when running full speed with a world class athlete hanging on you is harder than you make it sound. QJ does posses god given gifts and when he eliminates the drops he will be just fine. He only had 2 registered drops last year.

I believe he will be ready for week 1. However, due to the foot, I can see him occasionally lacking some mobility or arm strength throughout the season.

Philip Rivers and Ladainian Tomlinson suffered the same knee injury. But Rivers continued playing and people were tough on LT. It is very different when you are running and cutting and spinning and breaking tackles then it is playing QB. Rivers himself pointed that out. So, Gates vs Herbert are the same thing. I've had this injury, it's a nuisance more than anything. Sometimes simple Acetaminophen is all it takes to relieve a lot of it. Other times it takes more. Depends on the severity and the person and the position they play.

The offensive line struggling was to be expected. We're still relatively young experience wise with our vets being Bozeman (2018) and Pipkins (2019). The rest being drafted in the last 2-3 years. Pipkins to me is the biggest question mark why we keep him year to year (must be cheap), when there are solid proven veteran guys out there that become available/open to negotiation. Take into the fact that our revamped defensive line/linebacker room has undergone a dramatic rehaul athleticism wise, so our offensive line being tested day in and day out with premiere pass rush is a good thing. Only time will tell though if this will pan out, the injury bug is something that has cursed us in every season as Chargers. Hoping this one won't be our Achilles heel in the long run. BOLT UP!

The thing that's bad as far as Justin goes. Is he's missing valuable time with all of the wr's. Getting their timing down. Getting use to playing with them and knowing when and where to throw them the ball etc. Because Stick is a POS!! I really can't believe that they gave him an extension this year either! He more than proved how FRICKN TERRIBLE he is last year. He had 4 games that he started to show if he's worthy of being our #2 QB. Well we all saw how that turned out! I'd go out and get either Huntley or Tanahill for our #2 QB I'd much rather have a reliable guy now than wait until Justin gets hurt to go out and try to get someone.

I’m a UK NFL fan do not greatly in the loop. I’m in San Diego at the moment and went to a Padres game against the Dodgers and it was phenomenal! It’s a shame that the Chargers moved as I imagine if they were at passionate as the Padres fans are, it would be great to see them in San Diego. I think the name change to Southern California Chargers, abbreviated to So Cal is a great idea.

The problem is the politics of media ratings. What they mean when they rate players is legacy+stats+general public perception and popularity. It should be Stats+historical context if the time+their rare abilities. The truth is always really far from the national media or general discussion. It’s no surprise and generally most people are into emotional garbage food media and base their opinion on zero understanding and actual study but by what other people say and how they subjectively feel. Basically some people think critically and try to be objective and some people are ruled by emotion and bad information or context. Whoever thinks Gates is the 9th best TE is a moron, no argument.
