I was there when Lane rode his last bull. I was only a kid then but I am glad to know he has never been forgotten. This musical tribute is absolutely amazing.
I went to high school in Atoka Oklahoma with Lane Frost. In school he was in my class. The class of 1982. I knew he was a cowboy at that time. I was into rock and roll and no idea the significance at the time of his bull riding career. I had several classes with him. You never saw him without a smile on his face!! Truely a genuine nice guy.. He is missed by all family and friends that knew him!! Thank you Aaron for such a great song!!!
I’m on my wife’s account but I rode with lane in the 80s he was a genuine friend and a good man. I cried the day we let him go home to that rodeo in the sky. I love and miss ya still buddy, Jake.
I was about 10 when Lane was killed in Cheyenne. I was behind the shoots helping my grandpa load bulls for the next rodeo when the everything when wrong. The Frost family was great friends with my family when my grandparents where alive in California.
Now this has to be one of the most well-written songs I have ever heard. Such a beautiful tribute in honoring one of the absolute most legendary people that ever existed in the world of rodeo, or even under the word COWBOY in general. He may be gone, but he will absolutely never be forgotten. We love you Lane, and happy trails to you, until we meet again ❤️🐎🐂🤠
I'm from Chihuahua Mexico (border with El Paso TX) He was my childhood hero eventhough I couldn't understand the language back then, I come from a family of cowboys and my family and I remember Lane Frost and we cried when he died, it hits me hard because he was very brave and he inspired us young kids riding those bulls. I'll never forget my heroe.
32 years....the one thing I learned from Lane's life is to live life to the fullest and don't let fear hold you back from your dreams or what you want to do.
If you have never seen the movie 8 seconds please get it and watch . I guarantee you will cry just like all of us that knew that trio. Three amazing and gutsy men . The best of what bull riders are .
Ya Aaron is one of the few country artists that actual sound country haha. There’s some good country artists but few that seem like they are comparable to country music in the past.
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan, thank you for your wonderful comments on my post,it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listenin to my music….. sorry for your loss
My son is 7 weeks old his name is Stetson, I took a picture of him last week watching 8 seconds for his first time. I rode bulls a few years and I hope Lane inspires him like he did me as a kid and as an adult
Hey Aaron Watson. I was at the 2017 FFA National Convention in Corpus Christi and I saw your concert. It was the best concert I have ever went too. When you sang this song I started to cry. Listening to this song has got my thinking about my great grandpa that died this June. Thank you for your songs and motivation words. :)
Wow I miss you Lane.I couldn't stop crying . What a pure and loving song . You we're the best Lane .We all will get to see you when it's our time to go see our lord God .R.I.P. Lane.
I sure do miss the 70s and 80s. The music🎷 today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
LOVE YOU BULL RIDERS OUT THERE. LANE FROST YOU ARE MISSED. AND ALL THE OTHER BULLRIDERS THAT LOST THEIR LIVES. THEY DID WHAT THEY LOVED TO DO. ALL OF YOU WILL BE MISSED ALWAYS. OUR HATS OFF TO ALL THE BULLRIDERS .LOVE YOU GUYS FOREVER.
It's 2020 , it's been almost 31 years since this cowboy made his last ride. He is still talked about an remembered. Lane Frost was larger than life it's self in many aspects. Gone way to soon.
This song is so full of emotion, but the line that always makes me cry is, "His mom and daddy long to see their little boy again." I lost a child in 2009 and it's the worst pain there is. My heart goes out to Lane, his parents, and everyone else out there who loved him. He had an incredible talent and gave so much joy to so many people. ❤
That’s all any of us could ask for. If I could choose how I’m going I’d choose while I was doing my job I love so much. Though I’d imagine they’d hold some kind of safety meeting about it to. I’ve always hated hearing about a brother dying in the line of duty.
Today he has been gone for 30 years, may he R.I.P. and still praying for his family. I can't believe I was a month old and 2 weeks when he passed away. 😭
Great song for a great cowboy. Much respect for bull riders. That was a great movie they did for him and Luke Perry RIP did a great job playing Lane. Your missed deeply Lane.
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. It’s heartbreaking to know he died so young. I know how it feels to lose someone you love so young. God Bless his family and rest in peace Lane Frost
It’s been awhile that I’ve heard this song but it never fails , damn near will make a grown man bring a tear down . God bless you Aaron Watson for making this beautiful song
You can tell he made it a point to know about Lane. Every time I watch 8 seconds I laugh at the antics of those three traveling the circuit and then watching Lane waving like he usually did then getting hit by that bull and knowing full well it was his last earthly ride . 😞
Some things are worth dying for, living life your way and on your terms is one of those things. We all go some time, some go old and frail, some go young in service to a greater good or doing things they love. None of us are anybody to say going one way is better/more ok than another. God bless you Lane, a great example to live your life to the fullest everyday and live it your way.

Seeing this song in concert at the Austin rodeo was the most amazing experience in my life. It was the moment I was dead set in what I wanted to do. Y’all better look out for me in the barrel circuit as I ride for a man who I never knew, but put me on the the path to doing what i love for the rest of my life .
