- As our Dali Zensor 7 speakers only comes with white or black speaker grills, we thought about customizing our own. See how you can easily do it yourself in this video.
We made sure that the fabric/cloth was thin enough to let through the sound without removing to much of the high frequency/treble. I couldn’t hear any different when listeting through our new fabric and the old one that came with the speaker.

i wanted to do my subwoofer grill. Its a silver colour, and i want black. Wouldnt a flat black spray paint work just as well? A think coat should allow the speaker to breath fine. Did you consider this at all?
sorry to say, but the black look better, if you could choose then I would've gone for the white instead of the grey.

Unless those are only being used as dust covers you just ruined the sound of high end Dali speakers. That cloth is miles off from being acoustically transparent. Even the original acousticaly transparent covers take a little bit of acoustics away from the speakers designed sound. Most people don't know all speakers are designed, calibrated and tested for it's optimal sound with the speaker grills off. So when you want to enjoy your music or movies the way the speaker was designed and intended to it's full potential......take the grills off. Grills are only on speakers to prevent damage from kids or pets, or drunk friends and dust. Anyway your video is hilarious 😂 and I was laughing along with your wife. I thought it was a joke almost the whole time until you put them on. Make another one please.
