Very good analysis guys. The only thing I would add is the commanding performances of Córdoba, Duffy and Mclean who not only do a lot of the dirty work but quite often start the process of moving the ball through the thirds OTBC 💛💚
Being a Norwich fan I stumbled across your podcast. You're analysis of players and systems is second to none. Wherever Norwich finish this season remains to be seen but it is certainly exciting to watch and I feel it can only get better under JHT. Keep up the great work guys. Subscribed.
Excellent analysis. As a Norwich fan I (and I think most others) was happy for this to be a transitional season as long as the football was less turgid than what we'd been given over the last couple of seasons under Smith & Wagner. Lots of players out and lots of very young newcomers. New manager with a completely new style. After the terrible opener at Oxford, I thought it was going to take a long time for things to click but game after game it's getting better. The first 4 or 5 matches you could see them trying to implement the new system but just not quite getting it right. Since Watford though, the quick transitional passes have more often than not been completed, they've finally found their shooting boots and, as you said, they really look like they're enjoying this dynamic style of play. Fisher, who would get the occasional start last year (and usually get subbed very early and not play again for weeks) is a revelation - so composed for a 12 year old xD! Sainz is a man possessed - JHT seems to have channeled his fiery nature into attacking the goal rather than attacking opponents. It's odd to say (and just a bit scary) that Sargent hasn't got completely going yet, given his scoring record last year - it's coming though, his spin and first time pass to send Sainz through for the first one on one against Hull was a thing of beauty. Nunez is looking great out of Sara's shadow. Kenny McLean and Duffy look revitalised. Doyle might not be good enough for the Man City 1st team but is really too good to be in the championship. None of the newcomer's has really had their moment yet but all, for the most part, are contributing - many still adapting to the English game. So, I've gone from expecting (and accepting) a mid-table finish to now feeling playoffs is the bare minimum. With a run of "on paper" winnable games coming after the break, if JHT can keep them focused and performing consistently at the level they've reached recently (and the injury gods are kind to us) automatics will very much be on the cards.
Norwich fan here, one of the biggest differences this season is the possession we have has intent. Under Smith and Wagner, we ketp the ball well but never did anything productive with it, sideways and backwards passing only to give it away sloppy when we eventually went forward. One of the biggest things in the last season was we might only have one, maybe two clear-cut chances, and if we missed, i didn't have much hope we'd create more. However, in the hull game, when borjas 1v1 was saved early on, i didn't feel like that's the only chance gone. i knew we'd create more, and even when nunez had his 1v1 saved a little later in the match, you can just feel like there's always another chance coming under Hoff.
Stumbled across your podcast but found it a really informative and interesting watch. Really good analysis and can see you guys have done your homework. Regarding the team, it’s meant to be a period of transition, the last time this happened Farke took us up to the EPL, could lightening strike twice, time will tell. Looking forward to seeing how it all goes and seeing more of your analysis, watch out Lineker et all!
Amazing quality video chaps! Your channel is underrated! Keep up this content and I am sure you boys are gonna be onto something!. I am an avid Norwich fan, but my knowledge for football tactics isn't the best so to have this channel explain what is going on detail, it now brings the games into a better perspective for me. Really appreciate you guys taking the time out to do all of this research and break it down.
from a Norwich fan, Nice podcast. just for clarity our midfielder almost never play wide, McLean and Nunez share position in the center and our third midfielder move moore freely like a 10. And when the LB or RB go inside the other one go wide . Our right winger just play on the side line, about Sainz and Sargent perfectly explain!!!!!!! Nice Work really enjoy
What’s also impressed me is how the older players have responded to the new regime. Duffy, McLean and Nunez in particular, all of whom could disappear in matches have excelled in this new system. You’d expect Duffy and McLean in particular to be resistant to change, but they’ve been outstanding this season. I’m also very impressed with the new signings. Norwich lost Idah, Sara, Rowe and Kamara, but they spent their money very wisely and good as they are, we’ve yet to see the best from them. Cordoba has shone from day one, but Chrisene, Gordon, Marcondes, Schwartau, Crnac and Slimane are all getting better and better. When they reach top form, means we could see even more changes during a match to confuse the opposition.

Great analysis! I’m a lowly QPR fan but I follow the Talk Norwich City guys and they’re absolutely buzzing by what they’re now watching from Norwich and think they’re getting promoted. I haven’t paid close attention to Norwich this season because I’ve been too worried about my team but the TNC vid plus this brilliant analysis has made me want to watch Norwich 😁 You guys have convinced me - Norwich are finishing top 2!
About Kellen fisher, he also gets the fans going after a crunching tackle like showing that he loves the club. JHT has also done a good job about Duffy, he wasn’t liked the most last season but now people are liking him giving so much praise and more.
I was one of those but he’s turned into Bobby Moore this season! Progressive passing great positioning obviously helps with the other quality defenders round him
@@carlmarch9591 Me too but at least us Norwich fans can admit that we slightly hate on a player if they do not the best but when there doing decent or really good we give them a lot of praise

Love to see neutrals look at the way our Norwich team is playing and singing their praises. Hopefully Sainz and Sargent can stay fit, not sure who we replace those two with who can get the same output.

Great analysis guys. Even as a Norwich fan I'd say Willy Gnonto is probably the most talented player in the league but Thurop has Sainz playing the most effective football in the league BTW pleased to hear you praise Fisher and Nunez both have been fantastic recently.
The possession stats are being influenced by the quality of the teams Norwich have played to date. 7 of the 9 opponents are in the top half. The possession stats will go up over the next few months
Thanks for this lads. I agree that we lack a bit of depth but hopefully our new owners will dip into the transfer market in January if we are still competing at the top end.
as a Norwich fan it’s because of these young players like 2019 we had like a mixed younger players older players the youth system as I like look like look at Gabby Sara great place for Norwich one of the best midfielders ever in the championship. It’s a good time to get fresh legs into international break it’s because of the it’s because of the experience as well like Angus Grant Henry Shane Duffy Jack Stacey is just clicking and saniz it’s just scoring in every single game he is sainz is is dangerous on the ball when he first came to the club he didn’t get much goals but he is showing this season exactly what he can do for Norwich City
7 of Norwich 9 games have been against top 12 in the division the 2 teams in bottom half hull and Coventry still good teams. Let’s see how they perform against the bottom half teams. Norwich could end up having a fantastic season.
I think most Norwich supporters would have been happy with a 6th place finish ( I thought they would have finished lower) . The 'dissatisfaction' came largely through most of the crowd not having much belief in Wagner (it may have been better if they'd finished 7th & avoided the play off embarrassment)
I honestly cannot see us losing another game this season.Hoff Ball is the new beginning we have been waiting for… But we weren't expecting this… Give us the title now
It's a bit early to be saying 'They're dominating the championship ' wasn't this about where they were this time last season . Give it 15+ matches & we will see from there - unless they can improve their defending positions they will need to score around 2 goals a match on average.....
Get real lads. Norwich are bang average. Hull are a work in progress. They have only 1 or 2 players left from last year. Neither of which were massivrly influential . They have changed everybody else . These players have huge potential. They are however, finding their feet and adapting to a completely different way of playing. They are currently working out a way to adapt their super attacking football with their complete openess at the back. The pace of sainz in particular caused problems, but really ,dont get too high on the wins and too low on the defeats. This game was a one off against a side that doesnt currently give a fig while it sorts itself out. !
😂😂😂😂 Norwich are not dominating the championship. You lot are so up your own backsides. Like you lot think sargent is a great striker another dream sargent is rubbish
