Toon BLS can Tribute monsters from a mix of hand and field (it doesn't have to just be one or the other). "or" in YGO is almost always an inclusive or (i.e. the equivalent of and/or), just look at most Fusion or Ritual spells that frequently use things "from your hand or field" and can similarly do a mix of the two. So BLS's special summoning procedure isn't quite as annoying as that, at least.
I really like the concept of the deck being a "book" and giving the deck(book) a "bookmark." And then treating each card in the deck(book) as a "page." I like the concept of toon turn page allowing us to choose 3 toon monsters(3 pages) from our deck(book) and summon 1 toon monster(page) to the field. I love the artwork for toon turn page. Its a popup of toon world and the equip spell card, "Shinning Palace." It makes me think that Shinning Palace should be a toon card called, "Toon Palace." Make Shinning Palace be a page or a world from the toon book that we could visit. I would love to see Toon Palace be a continuous toon spell card in the spell/trap zone thats treated as "Toon World." It would help the deck because it would gives us a 2nd Toon World and we wouldn't have to rely on Toon Kingdom. Toons have this problem where you have to protect Toon Kingdom. If its destroyed it over, so give me a page from the toon book that I can activate in my spell/trap zone as a continuous spell card thats treated as "Toon World." Give me more places to explore other than Toon World and Toon Kingdom. Give me Toon Palace, Toon Forest, and Toon Mountain. Have the artwork be the original Forrest and Mountain field spell cards but cartoonized and make them treated as "Toon World" in the spell/trap zone. I feel like they're *hinting* at these other continuous spell cards in the spell/trap zone treated as "Toon World" because of the card "Toon Bookmark." Its text reads, "If a "Toon World(s)" you control would be destroyed by card effect." Its got the (s) after Toon World, so I wonder if we'll get more cards treated as "Toon World" but have them be continuous spell cards. Again, the cards are pages from the book(deck) so let me take those pages from the deck and place them in my spell/trap zone as other Toon Worlds that we can explore. I really want to see Toon Resolootion and Toon Concloosion as a toon card. Resolution and Conclusion are parts of a story so they fit the whole book theme. I love when they take the archetype name and add a word afterwards that rhymes with it or is spelled like it. Like Kozmojo. Kozmo+Mojo. Ojama Pajama. HARPie HARPist. Toon Resolootion. Toon Concloosion or even Toon Spoon. Toon Spoon! It doesn't make sense. Neither does Ojamas wearing Pajams. Toons have a mask and a briefcase, so I can see them getting a card called Toon Spoon. Or even Toon Buffoon. Buffoon fits the whole toon/clownery concept. Or Toon Buffet. Shit. I'm hungry. LOL! I want to see a card called Toon Page Torn. Pretty much you've torn a page from your toon book by accident. Maybe you activate it, discard(or tare) a toon card(page) to the GY to add a toon card from the deck to hand. IDK. Then give me Toon Page Tape. You've torn your page. Now you want to tape it back to your book. This card would let you add a toon spell/trap toon card and toon monster from the GY back to your hand. Like a Frightfur Patchwork but from the GY. I REALLY want to see a card called Toon Page Skim. Skim because we do that with books where we quickly go through all the pages superficially. Activate Toon Page Skim, skim through your deck(book),choose 3 toon cards(3 pages), your opponent chooses 1 at random, add the selected card(page) to your hand. Then give us another card that lets you add any "Toon Page" card from your deck to your hand. You can add toon page turn, toon page torn, toon page tape, and toon page skim. I want to see Toon Climax, Toon Plot Twist, Toon Plot Hole, Toon Synopsis, Toon Ending, Toon Summary, Toon Library, Toon Library Card. I don't know. I'm just following the book concept and thinking of book concepts that can be turned into toon cards. We need more toon lv 4 and extra deck monsters. I want to see dark rabbit retrained as toon rabbit. I want to see toon relinquished and toon alligator retrained as Manga Alligator but always be treated as a toon card. Give us Toon Parrot Dragon.
One thing to keep in mind as that when toon cards do reprinted they sometimes get updates to their effects that make them better (or atleast try to make them consistent with each others effects). I know that isn't saying much for old toon cards but still. As for this wave I'm surprised they never got a support card to remove the summon sickness part of the deck (I know it's part of what makes toons, toons. But it's such a victim to powercreep when you aren't allowed to run over problematic monsters without workarounds). Maybe a continuous spell that's always treated as toon world as well and let's them attack the turn they're summoned but with half damage that turn or something.
Their summon sickness isn't what made them toons, it was a mechanic placed to make it more balanced in early yugioh, since they were the only "high atk" monsters that could attack directly.
Nice little overview of the deck as it is now. I do still disagree on Terror - I think that it being a "Toon" card you can discard for Toon DM is pretty important. I see your point about the double requirement, but honestly I think if you don't have a Took Kingdom and at least 1 Toon in play then things have gone so wrong that even a Judgement probably wouldn't be able to save you. Still, space is pretty tight in the deck so I would still say to run at most 2 since it doesn't directly further your goals other than providing protection for Kingdom.
I would say once this set goes to the OCG or least they get these cards they will likely give them a few more new cards so I would say within at least a year we could see some more
OCG does tend to give things that help a deck out when they get TCG sets. Don't know why TCG is afraid to let you attack directly with Toon Harpie Lady
Hey, I was the one dming you on Facebook with my go second build! I agree with almost all your points aside from Toon Terror being bad. I made another go first variant that can pretty consistently end on Kingdom, at least 1 big toon, Terror/Briefcase, and sometimes an ash or impermanence as well. The strength of Terror is if you know what to negate, it makes the opponents life a nightmare to out a 3k beater that can't be targeted or destroyed. Terror+Bookmark protection and usually an impermenance/briefcase/ash blossom/called by the grave is enough to beat a lot of decks in the meta right now. Not a lot of decks can wipe that board, and then you usually follow it up by using Dark Magician to special a BLS and go for game/flare metal on low LP. IMO it should be played where you go first, end on DM and Red Eyes or DM and BLS with 2ish negates and then kill them next turn. Or you can go with a purely go second build that mains lightning storm and Nibiru (nibiru token +comic hand or shadow toon is hilarious) that strictly tries to out their board using the slew of comic hands/harpie lady eff/BLS eff/Page Turn that the deck has. The deck is definitely Tier 3 and can for sure win a locals with some luck.
I find it odd that Toons still dont have any extra deck monsters, a fusion I thought of quickly is 'Toon HERO Flame Wingman', materials 2 Toon monsters + new Spell 'Toon Fusion'. Has skyscraper effect when it attacks, (and its usual effect when destroying a monster)
I think one easy play this deck could consistently make going turn 1 is a Rank 4 (probably Dweller) with a other Toon Monster face up with 2 set cards such as Toon Terror and Briefcase as well as Toon Kingdom.
I think. Maybe. Spellbook Magician + Secrets + Knowledge, might be the way to go for consistency. Just for the fact that it reduces the number of cards In the deck for less potential dead draws. Plus you only use the normal summon for, basically, Black stone.
AlintheaYoh, the reason I talked about Toon Alligator into Treatoad, is mostly because Rescue Rabbit is at 3, so seeing that play is a lot easier compared to before where we only had 1 (when we got the Toon Kingdom Support) which wasn't really viable but even with only 1 Treatoad, if you back it up with Judgments or anything else, I think it can be a strong board (for a lower tier deck). I also always liked Rank 4 Toons personally, so I'm still going to stick with it when DuelingBook updates with it and really see for myself if a rank 4 build is worth pursuing, and if not, I can always try and make a link variant with the rank 4 build.
I personally prefer Toon Rollback over Shadow Toon as it can fit into the same niche of pushing out more damage but with no reliance on your opponent and at the same time it can be used for card advantage by letting your Toon Masked Sorcerer attack twice and therewith drawing 2 cards (or discarding 2 cards with Toon Gemini Elf). It's just much more versatile.
Run Kaijus for an OTK if you're ever tempted to try Shadow Toon. It's more consistent now. Use a large Kaiju on an opponents monster. Burn for 3K with Shadow Toon, Comic Hand to take the Kaiju, attack directly, or twice with Rollback. Gotta find an engine to speed the deck up, and get more searches, though
I honestly find it really weird that nobody seems to really bring up a Gren Maju/Eater of Millions build. Pot of Extravagence has almost no downside in the deck and is usually just a Pot of Greed and both Gren Maju and Eater scale ridiculously fast with Toon Kingdom. Just having the biggest beatstick on the table on your side is often surprisingly enough to just whack somebody over past their 15 negates.
Honestly the reason is likely because it'd just be a worse Golden Castle build. Sure Toon kingdom gets those extra banishes upon activation, but the 'banish to protect' effect is way slower than Castle's, and Castle's battle protection is much more invaluable to such a deck.
You should look into Utopia Double with Double or Nothing, it gives mermaid and harpie lady extra utility as free summons for a 10,000 beater. Also worth testing the Accesscode engine with veilers, since those two special themselves for your veiler normal and cards like toon table get 3 spells in grave for Selene fast
That is why I like 3 Rescue Rabbit with 3 Toon Alligator, this package makes rank 4s a lot easier to gain, not including any Toon Mermaid or Toon Harpie Lady.
You can only attack twice with the targeted toon monster. It won't let you rollback the same toon monster for 3 attacks. I learned that the other day. The 2nd rollback has to be used on a different toon monster. I like using rollback on Toon Masked Sorcerer because I get to draw 2 cards. Shes your pot of greed.
UA-cam has messed up the quality. Sorry about that. It should clear up soon!
Toon cyber dragon is good because of chimeratech.
I appreciate how you mentioned Feather Storm. Too many people completely overlooked it. It was an automatic 3 of in my build.
He’s back for real?! I CANT BELIEVE IT!
I’m so freaking happy you’re back even temporarily :D great discussion
Oh dear. I'm afraid you're about to enter into a world of pain. A world of chaos, a world of absolute mayhem. That's right, a world of Toons!
Toon BLS can Tribute monsters from a mix of hand and field (it doesn't have to just be one or the other). There is good in 2020.
Good to see you back, even if briefly. Still my most favorite yugioh based youtuber. Hope you’re doing well.

Haven’t heard that into in a minute. 🔥👍
20:57 toon terror is the same thing like pharaograves in necrovalley...
I think the new toons cards are okay, Just wish there was some more good 4 or lower toon monsters.

it takes the pandemic for you to make videos wow...

Toons need way more, konami is adamant not to make toons good
Can you do a hieratic toon deck profile?
Cool video
Your back!
I hope you can review Herald of Perfection and Counter Fairy as well
Does toon rollback stack? So you could attack 3 times?
You can only attack twice with the targeted toon monster. It won't let you rollback the same toon monster for 3 attacks. I learned that the other day. Could you equip Dragon Buster to Toon Buster Blade?
Dragon Buster specifically states "Buster Blader", not a "Buster Blader" monster. You can just make Union Carrier though
@@Bruteboii91 Thank you! :) I figured, but sometimes yugioh can be wonky and stuff works.
