Nice review, Iam following on UA-cam and Facebook, Iam using Bcw prism they work well with my double sleeve command decks. But would give the bastion a try.
Thanks for providing an unbiased and straightforward review. Both this and boulders have their pros and cons, but having the capacity to store slabbed commanders is a huge plus for a lot of people.

I'm a huge fan of gamegenic. Follow them on youtube. The problem with the bolder is that its to tight sometimes and damages my cards. So Happy to See that the bastion is higher.

Can’t wait for this to hit LGSes near me. I bought a Dungeon recently, so having the Bastion made to fit Dungeons is a major plus point. Even without the Dungeon compatibility, it’s great to see Gamegenic release their own Boulder equivalent. Too bad about not being able to completely house a triple-sleeved Commander deck, though.

I've seen a lot of Gamegenic products lately. They really do seem like a good new competitor in the market so I started following them on Instagram. I have yet to try any of their products, though. Thank you for the honest review of the Bastion. I don't think it would be the right deck box for every deck, but I do have some commander decks that are double sleeved and/or carry a large amount of tokens with them. I assume it would be perfect for these kind of decks :)
From my testing, if you throw the commander in a snap/slide case and in the back of the case, it makes it easier to take the whole deck out. Also, GameGenic's branded slide case is stack-able and if you face the commander a certain way, the sleeved cards kinda fill the back of the case and really makes the deck come out easily.

My first thought was "this is a bigger boulder", and I was right! I "liked" on Facebook, I'm a boomer and don't know if there's a follow button I missed, so if I did, no worries! That all said, if I recall correctly the designer of the boulder also works for/runs/somesortofinvolvement with GameGenic, so it makes sense the products would be similar if that's the case.
I wasn’t very happy with the bastion. The Boulder is pretty much the perfect box and feels so much more high quality, and the colors and plastic just are better. But of course its issue is the capacity. I switched from Boulders to GameGenic sidekicks which are amazing. If Ultimate Guard would just up the capacity on the Boulders of the 100+ to fit double sleeved cards it’d be perfect. The 133 is too much.
At the time of making this video, I don't actually know the retail price of the Bastion. I assume it will be similar to Ultimate Guard's Boulder series, and that will definitely make it a very competitive choice. What are YOUR thoughts on this deckbox???

A boulder will burst open if you shake it hard enough? I'd be very curious to see that. No mention of the price, which is the most important for most people. Retail price is 40% higher than a boulder. At that price point, it's quite a terrible option. You can get 2 nameless sidewinder magnetic deck boxes online (basically same as branded ones) for the same price.
i remember when gamegenic first started showing up. theyre def a power house in my opinion. im actually glad they are larger than boulders bc i find that the boulder 100 doesnt hold 100 double sleeved that well (they are yugioh so its not an inner sleeve but a truly double sleeve) Also for some of the smaller decks, the gamegenic 50 should be room plenty for 60 or more with single sleeves

Thanks for the review! But I think I will stick to my boulders , especially with how the decks aren't as easy to remove and the increase in size.
