With the massive and sadly very regular price increases we are all thinking harder at where to spend our hard-earned cash. The Louis Vuitton canvas has always been a source of debate as to whether or not it's worth it. Whether or not it's tacky. Whether or not it's not overplayed. In this very rambly video I'll try to express my thoughts in a totally non-scientific manner.

I have the Damier Ebene and a Blue Azur Special Edition of the Neverfull with no vachetta and these bags won’t leave me EVER. I have the Damier for almost 9 yrs and it still looking very very good. It’s easy to travel with, I can clean it, I don’t have to worry about anything. They can carry a lot. I would totally buy it again at today’s price giving the fact that they stand the test of time. People can say whatever they want but to me it’s the best luxury care free tote out there!

Ah so happy you enjoyed ! And gosh I doubt anyone has tried it... Impossible 🤣 I got my two Noe's in 2020 after years of hunting a good vintage one but never finding one with a good price. I have watched your Noe size reviews at least 30 times each 😂😂😂

Very new to the LV game, but I am starting to notice a LOT of great deals on resale sites - even classics like Speedy B25, Speedy B20 and Neverfulls. I'm wondering whether the luxury resale market is starting to soften due to economic factors and possibly saturation of available products? Finding quite a few mint condition monogram items discounted significantly, and many even come with the original packaging. For anyone who doesn't want to pay retail prices, definitely check around online! To me, it's "worth it" if I can find items below retail. I plan on keeping an eye out for certain items and picking them up here and there.
Oh it’s definitely a moment to keep an eye out on deals. Sadly one persons drama is another ones’ win. It’s also doesn’t have to be necessarily the financial difficulty but intuitively getting rid of material burden. People look at their collections more critically and keep only what they use, making the less used items end up on resell sites.
I am hunting a speedy from my birth year, so I also always keep an eye on what’s for sale.

Because I have been collecting bags for awhile, and LV canvas bags price has reached the maximum of canvas bags I would pay of $2K. I am so glad I keep my GM DA NF and speedy 25 B DA as well. Interesting topic. ❤❤❤

Pulled the trigger on a Neverfull in black Empriente. Sold it, everything fell out even with an organizer and was too heavy the straps are not practical. Kept my speedyb30 in Damier ebene.
I have to say canvas is totally different on the Neverfull. The leather can indeed be very stiff and uncomfortable. Since the canvas is more supple, the opening collapses a little so things don’t pour out like they do from a stiff tote. That being said, enjoy the speedyb ! I sold mine and deeply regret it. The DE print is gorgeous!
Great Video!!! I can certainly agree with EVERYTHING you said! I am guilty of loving the Neverfull and will always have them in my collection! I understand your desire for the Damier Ebene because it truly is so carefree. Just a reminder that the DE straps are NOT as comfortable as the vachetta. The treated leather will soften a bit, but it can dig into your skin when the bag is full and heavy....That being said...mine are not leaving my collection! The carefree and weather resistant aspect out weighs the slight strap discomfort. Keep us posted....!💙

I sold the Neverfull GM in DE because I hated that treated leather straps… So so uncomfortable!
Aarghh, I’ve heard that a lot, but I definitively want to try it out myself….
Don’t care much for logos, but the LV canvas itself is more a color and pattern. Very beautiful colors and patterns I might add. Plus it holds up better than leather and weighs less.
The speedy is very different than the Neverfull - the speedy is hard to get in and out of - if you want ease the neverfull is it. I don’t have one ( small bag girl here) but I can see it’s an amazing bag :-) I have the On The Go and I use it mostly as a briefcase - it is definitely heavy and also super structured which may not work for just running about .
The On-The-Go is indeed a great briefcase! I use it also for smarter occasions, but to shop around a Neverfull is a great lightweight bag.
But I absolutely love the Neverfull in monogram and DA!

I am an LV girl for sure. I really love the canvas because it is hard wearing and LIGHT! Leather is beautiful and I have several leather bags, but weight is a factor. The speedy is the OG. I do not have a never full, but would like to have one and if I found one for the right price, I would consider it! The pochette metis is my ultimate favorite bag. The only problem with monogram is it is so loud/flashy. Also, their prices have gotten so out of hand, I'm at the point where I am priced out of buying new 95% of the time.
Worth it! Every day, any day! It’s a staple. I feel people call it basic cuz of logos. But to me basic/seeing it out there so much is cuz it works! Plus if you don’t want to be seen so basic don’t go logo. Go black empreinte giant logo. Such a beauty. I have my DE and love it. I want the black one lol

Yes, LV canvas is still worth it. I have 3 bags with treated leather and 2 with vachetta which I’m more careful with but no Neverfull.
I should really whisper this comment but I will only ever need one tote in my collection and it will be the Daily Battle by Fauré Le Page. I say “will be” because I really don’t need a tote… I just want one 😂. So far I’ve talked myself out of it multiple times as I rarely carry much and, like yourself, can pull out the Longchamp but the Daily Battle is lightweight coated canvas, has reinforced corners, wider straps and they can be adjusted to fit over my peri menopausal fat arms or over a winter coat. You can also buy a zipped version. It’s not quite the same flex as Louis but looks to be a much better bag and as for Goyard, nope.
Ah the temptations 😂😂 I definitely think it’s a better investment than Goyard. So much more durable.
Do you still have your GOYARD tote? I think it works for going out in the rain❤️

No matter what they say about the Neverfull yes..I bought my GM in Monogram at present price..so easy to travel with. I have the LePliage but it's annoying to use( my LV cosmetic pouch got a dent after 14hrs in the plane bec it's so flimsy)I'm gonna let go of it. We travelled cross country and I use my Neverfull MM in DE instead and ohh..soo easy to use! No need for zipper actually, hours in the car I can just reach in and out. That's why I'm still wanting a NF GM in DE😂. And yes I have 5 Speedys in various sizes even though people say it's so over saturated. So light, pack a punch,easy to maintain,classic design. You just wetted my appetite for NF again 😂.

This video came right on time I’m looking to purchase the speedy 30 in damier ebene for a everyday carefree bag I own a classic speedy 25 in the monogram print and I love carrying it but need something that’s a all purpose bag for different occasions and weather conditions I’m more of a enabler because I’m going to say go for it 😅😅

I wanted a Neverfull for a very long time but I think that now, I'd get a Moynat or a Fauré-Lepage for the same budget (or even a bit less) as I think they are more durable, and more "if you know you know" (not that I have anything against monogram, mind you).

I am not a fan of the Neverfull. Price wise I thought they were good value when they were around A$1000 but now that they are $3000, forget it. That’s just outrageous for canvas. Plus I think the canvases are dreary. But that’s just my opinion.
Before you make a decision I would advise having a look at the Faure La Page totes. Two of the UA-camrs I have watched for many years have dumped their Neverfulls in favour of the Faure Daily Battle Totes and rave about them. They certainly have a lot of pretty colours and some have zip tops.
The Faure Le Page items in Coral Pink are so up my alley! I'm dying over the Saga City 18!!!
I totally understand you. The Neverfulls and canvas bags are a case of you either love them or you don’t. The price here in Europe, whilst being extortionate as it is, has not reached the point of ridiculousness mentally. My absolute limit is €2000 for canvas. I thankfully have a tiny bit of margin, but who knows for how long 😅
The Faure le Page bags are gorgeous! I have never seen them in real life though, but they are on the list to check out whenever I can.
