The money goes to trying to fix it. The reason they need to ask for more is they were historically a high fare box recovery system and with fewer riding they don’t have money to fix stuff.
This was posted 12 hours ago (the time I watched this video) and 12 hours ago I was on the 3rd or 2nd to last bart train of the night, in the video they said there’s “bus bridge” we’ll last night there absolutely wasn’t a bus bridge, they kept telling us to use a alternate forms of transportation and there wasn’t going to be a bus bridge, had to get off at MacArthur, walk to telegraph & 40th street to take the 800 bus, luckily I had enough on my clipper card to take me to sf and of course the bus gets rushed by 10+ people who didn’t pay, delayed the driver of the bus and was smoking fentanyl in the back of the bus with the driving not saying anything.. sucks to because right when the bus driver pulled up to the stop all the people were waiting at he did a California stop lol pulled up tapped his breaks and gassed it, unfortunately the bus was stopped at a red light trying to turn right so people ran up to the door and reeeeally unfortunate the driver let them all in go hot box the whole bus with fentanyl smoke 🙄
We were coming from great america y told us coliseum was a sutter to sf when we arrived bart personal told us to go back to san leandro. This was annoying we have to take uber back home with one cancel us coz my daughter no car seat... Bart you should no lie and have better communication to your riders feel the you dont care..
BART system and service is one of the worse in the nation, but they (management ) always keep asking for more money, wonder where the money goes....
