I use the Hanna 35ppt individual packets to calibrate it, every couple months or when ever I think about it and calibrate the Hanna salinity pen. My tank is set to 25c so I sit the salinity packets in the aquarium for an hour before and calibrate it in the sump. Also PPT won’t change with temp only SG
@@NRKA lol 300aud per year. For that money you can just pay an aquarium maintenance service to come around and do some basic testing, while you are on holiday.

I found using the salinity gayrdian calibration wasn't great.
Maybe I should try the hanna
But they are really solid, and don’t move much at all. I know when my skimmer has skimmed to much or if I haven’t turned my ato back on real quick.
It has saved me more then once or twice
How often do you need to replace the probe?
They say yearly and the probes are like $300 here in aus!!!
But it's been 13 months for me and accuracy is still spot on.
