Hey, The replacements look neat and much required. Will wait for further updates. Spending money on a 12 year old car that too at this extent can you confirm the IDV value of this car is increased for Own Damage insurance? Or how does insurance work for car modified for performance? Would it be possible for you guys to make an episode on this? Thanks.
Hi I have an Audi A4 2012 model Saw your video on UA-cam and got impressed Our car has a steering rack issue. Apparently as per the dealership water went inside and hence it is unusable and a new one will cost us around 3 lakhs. Is it worth replacing or do we have any alternative? Rest of the car is just fine and has been driven only 85k kms in the last 11 years Please share your valuable suggestion
@@kishore4639Absolutely agree.. Refurbished are the best.. Save money for something to break.. That's how the used car ownership methodology works honestly.. But yes nothing seems to be more exciting but to drive these almost extinct machines.. which the next generation would ever think off..
Feel so sad for you man. During the test drive, When you relised that the previous owner was driving around with such bad suspensions, you shouldve just blocked his number and run away. A sophisticated man will never be able to tolerate even a faint noise coming from the suspensions, arms or steering. You can judge a man's personality just by checking out the condition of his car. If he can live with such compromises, you should not be surprised if he has used recycled engine oil. Driving the car around with a ruined front suspension would have definitely damaged the steering rack and the other bits associated with it. There's a very slight chance that your car will drive normal even after replacing all of the front suspensions. Also i think you got overcharged for all the parts you have purchased. Get in touch with eurospares in hyd. The things you've bought for 3L would be at less than half the cost. This particular model has a known steering rack issue. Drive at 100 and apply the brakes fairly hard. The steering will start juddering. It might even worse in your case as the car was never taken care of. The new rack is specific to a4 3.0tdi model, so no part sharing, so difficult to procure, hence expensive.
Your car looks absolutely stellar in person. Excited for this series to drop more episodes.

So true, i just went and read it again
Who needs a savings account when you can have a TDI engine? It's the ultimate money-burning machine with a side of horsepower!
Seriously so true! Expect the unexpected, especially when its a german car!
Do you guys only have German/VAG cars in the garage?
Was these parts from an A4 , 2.0 TDI ?
As someone who was planning to buy used. This is a warning on what to expect.
