nice to hear ''that it takes time to get a section of jumps dialed in..'' then I know its not just me that has to rebuild a new section a few times, before it really gets a good flow
There's this neighborhood by mine which has a huge ditch about the size of a Walmart and have of it is a track and other half is just random jumps! It's so fun.
yo Nathan !! I live in canton/Woodstock I am an avid RC dude who also just started mountain boarding, I need a place to ride/learn, and also some cool peeps to hang with and learn from about building a good track, ive made RC tracks, but u guys got a pretty nice spot, hmu sometime if u want. hell when I get my track made we could have 2 places to shred !
That's actually the easy part. Water it down then let it dry. Shower with bit of clay, repeat. I know at my local BMX track they use a 4 wheeler to compact the dirt, but any heavy flat object will do just fine.
i wanted to build stuff like this in our bake yard but my mom said only if there is an emt to watch you... so i'm taking first aid and joined the local fire department and am on my way of becoming an emt. i'm going to show her haha.
i used all of ur videos and I'm 13 and it led me to a pro biker and it led me to a pro bike compotision and I wrecked and broke my leg trying to do a bunnyhop 180 out of the bowl
you mean smooth- just water it loads and compact it so it's really solid. It depends on the soil type also. sandy soil won't go ultra smooth whatever you do to it.
@MrBombTV yeah you could....but what i would do is make a ramp take off and then a dirt landing. that way when you get better you can just move ramp back.
Maybe you should build a jump while explaining how to do it.. Right now I think I need to hover my shovel over an ant mound and BAM! you got a takeoff to take off.
this guy reminds me of the guy named nathen at my school that always used to piss me off and he also squints his eys when he is trying to explain stuff
get it real wet and shape it real well, you can pack it better when its wet. then we just shape it out pack it in a little then let it dry so its just a little moist, then we go back and reshape it again and pack it in real good and let it dry..... i think he forgot to mention to pack it in and shape it
get a flat spade like in the video and stone rake, use the rake to move the dirt onto piles that you can later use to repair the jumps and use the spade to pack it after wetting it
The quality is amazing for a nearly 7 year old video.
YES
"Then to pack it in you pack it in real hard" gold star for you :)
Thanks for the tips. I'm here in Tucker building my first tabletop jump and your video is helping a lot.
your special technique with the hitting up top and then draging down the shovel is used by everyone!
Right😂
smoke a j and build jumps all day. Great life motto bro
nice to hear ''that it takes time to get a section of jumps dialed in..''
then I know its not just me that has to rebuild a new section a few times, before it really gets a good flow

Dirt here in Oregon is like clay, its great for building jumps. Plus it rains a lot so it packs it in perfect.
can dirt jump bikes be used on bmx tracks?
They r basically the same, so I would say yes
You are really dumb

If you can't bunny hop 180 you're not pro
+Jackson Brooks You could try it but it doesnt work physicaly.
Iballisticsquid FAN yet this is your tag
we've got a badass
@HomeFilmPictures they can sometimes cause erosion but otherwise snow and rain is generally good for jumps it makes them more solid
after ya get ya DIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1:20 "You just want to work it up and down like that" LMAO
i built a track and i rode on it every day but now grass grew on it and now it sucks, how do u keep grass from growing on it?
you mean smooth- just water it loads and compact it so it's really solid. It depends on the soil type also. sandy soil won't go ultra smooth whatever you do to it.
are they good to build the day after it rains?
congratulations... u want a medal?

what type of dirt should i get and where should i get it
land which is the best to assemble a leap?
this guy kinda reminds me of my math teacher
I actually did! :)
can i just use a ramp instead of spending time making a lift-off and a lower ramp for the landing?
yeah baby pack it in
anywhere flat and undeveloped, like a vacant block or some bushland somewhere
@MrBombTV yeah you could....but what i would do is make a ramp take off and then a dirt landing. that way when you get better you can just move ramp back.
hey thats my bmx!!!!!!
Does that work for dirtbikes , i am looking to build a ramp
"you want to work it up and down like that" xD
"you just wanna work it, up and down" thats what she said

Maybe you should build a jump while explaining how to do it.. Right now I think I need to hover my shovel over an ant mound and BAM! you got a takeoff to take off.
tell us dude.. what did you do with that spade?
this guy reminds me of the guy named nathen at my school that always used to piss me off and he also squints his eys when he is trying to explain stuff

@fredbmx2000 how much more hi tech can u get than dirt?
where do u get the dirt
I swear this whole video is thats what she said, "You have to pack it in real hard"

did you build it with a shovel
Its easy Where the gap would be dig it out and use that dirt
Its easy if you have a pick
:)

Red Georgia dirt :)
get it real wet and shape it real well, you can pack it better when its wet. then we just shape it out pack it in a little then let it dry so its just a little moist, then we go back and reshape it again and pack it in real good and let it dry..... i think he forgot to mention to pack it in and shape it
I swear to god if I got a quid for every time he said smooth.........
the thing i find that is hard about making jumps is its hard to tell where to make the landing ramp
How would u get that much dirt
@TRIVIUMrocker123 24 is a light bike, very light for a complete.
Ima georgia boy too🤘🤘 northwest georgia
Where can u get dirt

get a flat spade like in the video and stone rake, use the rake to move the dirt onto piles that you can later use to repair the jumps and use the spade to pack it after wetting it
