The second and third episodes are somewhat iffy, too, but episode 4 picks things up significantly. The songs are better, the character development is more interesting…
This show’s writing is still noticeably better than Helluva Boss, so I’d suggest powering through.
It’s a musical, so it’s obviously gonna have a certain level of cheesiness to it. But, imo, the songs get better and some of the comedy definitely makes up for it. The story’s progression in the first season’s finale kept me on my toes long enough to make me wanna see season 2 asap.
Chatty Kathy aside, I recommend continuing with the series.
