  • Our pickups from the Polar Park card show in Worcester MA put on by Best Flippin', who put on regular card shows in MA. This was a great get-together for collectors of modern, vintage, TCG and other collectibles. There was better vintage than I was expecting. We picked up both the oldest sports card ever for our collection, and made the biggest deal we've ever made for a grail Baseball Hall of Fame Rookie Card. We could not be more thrilled!

    Wow, awesome! And yes, the fact that a piece of paper from the late 1800s is still together/legible is crazy

    Very nice pickups, love the Bobby Doerr and Alan & Ginter card. Should have taken footage of Polar Park field. I’ll probably never get there but used to go all the time to Pawtucket

      @@peterb4871 Thanks Peter. I did take some pics of the field but didn’t end up using them
      In the video. It’s too bad they didn’t stay in Pawtucket but the park in Worcester is marvelous.

    Matt from Providence is my favorite local dealer. Awesome Clemente pickup! How much was your Doerr?

      Thanks! Doerr was marked at $125, but I got that whole stack for $175. Thought I got a good deal. Will probably sell all the other stuff besides Doerr. I already sold both 1960s.

    1887 - isn’t that crazy??? Enjoy the history. ? - is one the lowest grade a
    Company will give? If it is completely beat up do they mark it as “ authentic “?

    • @WaxPackWisdom
      @WaxPackWisdom  3 місяці тому +1

      @@jonprovost8304 Yes cards get graded authentic all the time. That’s technically lower than a one. But if a card is trimmed or just has color added in a spot or two, it might actually be more valuable than a one. Not all “authentics” are created equal.
