Nice GTO, weird to see an American with a Holden Commodore. Not sure if you know but your car is an Aussie design with a US engine, and if you have the 2 door V8 variant you could probably get way more money for it if you sold it in Australia, I'm talking 60k plus. Not that you should sell, Its an amazing car and it's great to see others appreciate it over the pond, but just a little tip for if you ever do plan on selling.

It's like a breath of fresh air to find out that even the LA County Sheriff is disgusted by their current DA and the court that supports his mandates. It's just a shame that the people of LA don't share the same sentiment, and would rather see any semblance of law & order crumble in favor of their wishes to become a lawless dystopia where felons hold more power than their victims. Because according to them, their precious street thugs can do no wrong.
Any blood shed by repeat felons who were ever convicted within the LA jurisdiction during Gascon's time in office will be on his hands, but I'm sure he'll never admit to or reflect on it given how long he's already been doing this with no apparent guilty conscience whatsoever. I am utterly disgusted and horrified with the way DA's in so many states are conducting themselves. They have clearly lost sight of their job, and the promise they made when the took their position to protect their communities. These soft ball policies are destroying cities and the lives of countless families. I can only hope to one day be in a position like that so I can actually make a difference and enforce the laws that should upheld. Minor or not, that boy should have gotten a hell of a lot more than a trip to summer camp. That's LESS than a slap on wrist. And I can promise you that a few years from now, we'll hear about how he held up a store owner at gunpoint or ran over another innocent person that wasn't lucky enough to survive. Letting these kinds of people go only makes them feel above of the law, and they WILL continue to cause chaos until they're stopped.

As a citizen of a supposed "Judicial nation", i can attest that softball policies do not work in a way they're being represented on paper. The thought of reintegrating offenders back into society is nice and all, but when you eliminate the correctional elements that act as the disciplinary actions, you get a massive issue with repeative offenders taking advantage of the system, effectively getting slap on the wrist everytime they committ a felony, regardless how serious.
I recall an instance where a homeowner, a father of two, chased two loansharks away using a legally owned, unloaded revolver after they broke into their house in the middle of the night, mistakingly to a wrong address. No shots were fired, no one was hurt or killed. The said homeowner went on to receive bigger charges in court than the two guys that literally broke into their house while armed with knives and knuckledusters.

@@pohjantuulet247 Wow, that's so crazy! And I fear that my country of America is headed down that path. I'm all for some forms of prison reform, in cases where peoples rights are being infringed or abuse is taking place. Unfortunately there are prisons that do not conduct themselves as they should, and guards take advantage of their power. But to pretend that the way to solve our prison and social issues is to let people run amok in the streets is asinine. I have a very close family member who committed armed robbery as a 16-year-old and was sentenced as an adult. Even as a teenager, he stood up in front of the judge, took responsibility for his actions, apologized, and understood that he needed to be punished for what he did. So many adults nowadays wouldn't even have the guts to do some thing like that. He was imprisoned for 10 years, and spent seven of those in solitary confinement, which I do believe is a big problem, 7 years is ridiculous for someone that didn't commit murder or something. I don't know how he survived that, I probably would've taken my life. But even after all he went through in prison, and the horrible things he witnessed, he thinks all of this softball stuff is bullshit. Even as an ex con, he cannot wrap his head around the direction this country is headed with our legal system. I'm not saying that we should throw people in prison for 5 years for weed or non-violent offenses. But even in my area of Texas, things are completely out of hand. I live about 40 minutes outside of Houston, and it's a complete nightmare there. It's on par with Chicago in terms of violent crimes and murder. And the courts are letting people out left and right. I can't even tell you how many cases we've had this year alone where someone was let out on bail for a murder charge, only to get out and commit murder again. And to elaborate on what you said about self defense, I worry that we are headed down that road as well. There have been a number of cases of people rightly defending themselves that have been charged and put in jail. It's hard for me to imagine that happening in the United States, but especially here in Texas, where we have stand your ground laws and we firmly believe in being able to protect yourself and your family when you're in danger. It's all just a complete fucking mess right now and it breaks my heart, honestly. I love my country and I know that I'm one lucky woman to live here. But I'm terrified with the direction we are headed...

She called 911 and when the cop came he wrote a report and when she said she wanted to press charges due to extent of damage (Aprox $9,000 worth of repairs on a 2011 Tacoma) the Cop replied, "You dont really get to descide that." He proceeded to tell us how due to the accident happening in the boarder of Paramount they dont unually prosecute due to an insanely high unlisenced driver rate in that city. Even though we had evidence at the scene and multiple witnesses nothing was done. We asked if they wanted to take the bumper for evidence, and the cop said, "Dont worry about it, Street Sweeping will come pick it up in the morning." Never heard from the cops again.
A couple weeks later a transient took a dump right next to my Jeep in our private parking lot and dumped thier stolen goods from CVS and dirty panties with other nasty stuff in the trunk.

I even told him I suspected who it could be (because they were the only one who knew I would be gone during that day) they have a criminal record and you could probably pull prints off of something here to obtain a search warrant of their home which would probably turn up many of my stolen objects. It really seemed like having a good idea of what he should be doing made him even less helpful.

Here is why: If you do a little research you will find this typically true every where in the United States at least. Pull up a map of the State of Nevada. With the subject being crime rates. Now Nevada is mostly Desert so it's going to be a little more apparent here then a lot of other states. You will notice the High crime areas are around Reno And Las Vegas. Next pull up a Map of Vegas with the subject being Voting. You will see that the only blue (Democrat) areas in the whole state (in any given election year) are Reno and Las Vegas. You can do this with virtually any state and it is almost always the case. Big cities equal democrats and high crime (typically) I've lived in Detroit, Cleveland, Fayetteville, N.C. (100K plus population) and a few other Cities with over 50K populations. They all have the same 3 things in common. 1. High population, high crime and vote Democrat. I finally settled in a small Midwest town. Small Population, low crime, votes Republican. It's clean. Still within driving distance of a big city should I need to go to one. (There is usually no reason....... for me anyway) plenty of jobs, Lower cost of living and the homes are fine. I live in a 3 bedroom home with an unattached 2 car garage within a 10 minute drive of Hardware, Groceries, Gun Store, gun range, movie theater....casino...... and so on. All the same things offered in bigger cities (other than big sports basically) and that is only a few hours away. My mortgage for this house is only $650 a month (that includes utilities). Most people are friendly. Most people know each other. These are family oriented communities. And yes' you can concealed carry here and virtually everyone owns a gun. The only crime we really have in any prevalence is drugs and the addicts pretty much keep to themselves. It's not like Vegas or L.A. where they are all over the streets. They are like vampires in their crypts here only they rarely come out and bite people (because everyone is armed). There is also a range for your lifestyle. I'm only a paycheck to paycheck person. But if you have a better job than I do like my mother who is a doctor, lives up on top of the hill in the same town with a beautiful view (also a three bedroom. Single story with an attached garage 2 car and 3 bathroom home. Only $1,100 monthly mortgage all included).
I've been around. Other countries. Other jobs. And my conclusion is that smaller towns are so much better than big cities. But hey, all people are different. If you gotta be where the action is then I guess that's what you have to do.

the good thing about the 2nd part of the video is that when you are 18 and older in a juvenile detention center, you are actually separated from the other inmates, they are not allowed to be in contact, or in the same room, with any other inmate who is under the age of 18.
