I added the Air Lift bags system to my 2024 Tundra 1794 and it improves the towing and steering.

Wondering if ordered Trd Pro with tow mirrors then look into air suspension for the rear.

Sounds like the Ford 3.5 still sits at the top of the list for you in terms of pickups. Do you have any opinions of the newest GM trucks with the updated 3.0 diesel/10spd combo.
I’ve grown to like my old diesels range, especially when towing, but am skeptical on newer diesel stuff. All the R&D and support seems to be turbo gas 6cylinders.

The Ford 3.5L EcoBoost (or even better, PowerBoost hybrid) is a great setup, edging out the Tundra on small reasons more than anything.
I just drove a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Diesel but didn't tow with it, hoping to get one locally so I can do that and make a video. In the meantime, I did tow with a prior-gen 1500 diesel and liked it, if the math can work for you:

I want to know how reliable that engine will be after 60,000 miles? Will that turbo cause more expensive engine repair bills?

Turbos aren't new technology, they've been around for decades now. Toyota knows they have to keep reliability high given their reputation and standards. We are seeing more turbocharging from every manufacturer and while the turbo(s) is indeed a wear item, it ought to last well into 100k+ before needing much attention. This, of course, assumes proper maintenance.

Assuming good maintenance and correct oil i would have zero concerns. Easily good for triple that. The Tundra TRD Pro is up next for me, this truck ticks all the boxes on my list.

Thanks for this review and great content in general.
How does it tow?.... "(sigh), its fine."
Having felt/thought/said almost exactly that about my first gen Tundra towing my open trailer and race car, I know exactly what you were communicating.
In case its helpful to anyone else, my tow vehicle trajectory (almost exclusively for towing race cars) was 1st Gen Tundra, diesel F250, diesel F350, and now looking to go back to a 1/2 ton due to the ride quality of a HD truck being unacceptable for the 95% of the time its not towing, and desire to move back to a gas engine due to the inherent issues associated with complex diesel emissions systems. Not criticizing efforts to keep the air clean, but modern diesel emissions mean that diesel trucks are not well suited to short trips "around town" which is what my use case is evolving to.

Hah, glad you can relate. These new Tundras are really pretty good with a trailer attached, but (to me) there's this alllllmost intangible reason why I haven't been a fan so far. The first one I used was a 1794 with the non-hybrid drivetrain, then this TRD Pro with the (good) hybrid but suspension that's not as well sorted for a trailer. I need the Goldilocks loan of a Limited Hybrid or something.

If you add an air bag in there will works real good.
