The RETURN of the MIGHTY WR250x. I know a load of you guys have missed this bike and trust me I have too! I finally got the opportunity to get her back in awesome running order. This is also a perfect example of why the 2008 WR 250x is a tank of a freaking bike. Doesn't get cranked up for months and all it needs is a little garage time and it's running and wheelieing better than ever! For those curious I'm dropping the mods I got for the bike down below:

Do you sometimes cry at night?
chaseontwowheels noobie cutting off the end of the grips
If you’re that impressed with a impact drill, you need impact air tools... would have been a quick squeal and off 😎
You should get a larger tank
Where is the ZX10?
keep the old K&N wash & oil it. so that when you need to "clean" the new one...just swap it....and you are on the road in 2 minutes.
That bike is Tea! Or T. I'M 5 MINS IN AND YOU HAVE ONLY CALLED IT THE WR!
lol you are correct sir. Its been so long sense I made a video about it I figured people would be like, "Who is Tea?"
Who is Tea?
The Kleb papa when are you getting a supermoto
Sprocket change. New front nut and tab washer and all new bolts washers and nuts for the rear sprocket. Brian was watching this laughing.
Internet professional here to tell you that you were wrong. You want the oil to warm up so it is LESS viscous. The more viscous (higher the viscosity) the thicker it is. I only know because i work in a laboratory and measure viscosity daily. I know you can't tell, but i am totally just busting balls and trying to make you a little smarter. Love the videos. Glad to see you showing T some love
Chase, your chain tension looks tight which will not allow for full suspension travel and fast chain sprocket wear. Check your owners manual for chain slack spec's but in general you should be to fit 3 fingers between the chain and top swing arm half way along the swing arm.
Watching Chase with tools always gives me a special kind of anxiety.
Chase: I love using an impact for everything
Also Chase: In unrelated news, everything is over torqued and stripped
Keep doing yo thang
Nice to see the supermoto after a long time. I'm getting a DRZ400SM as my first bike and this gets me excited.
The issue with the gears was from the chain. Happend to me too and solved changing the used sprockets and chains. No better feeling that a new set of them =) Cheers !
Yo send me that filter I got on 08 250x! Still running the stock one that filter is sitting in my wish list right now!
I just love how you make a complete video.
Chase your mechanic skills are coming along nicely! I only groaned a couple times during this one. Well done!
First DoItWithDan not chase getting there bikes back into running order. MAN DO I LOVE IT seeing all the bikes back like the good old days. Love you chase keep the videos coming!
1 like = 1 prayer for Brian watching Chase grind through the whole chain... and almost the wheel.
2:00 damn Chase, he who have the calves of a titan!
Didn’t notice if you bent that washer over the front sprocket but and you pressed the master link plate on but did you river the pins?
"Is this where I turn" Yes it is...You passed Kennesaw Mountain once, twice, three times LoL. I ride around the the area a lot. Good to see you back out on the WR! Make sure you get the Shorai charger for that battery, expensive but worth it. Have one in my BMW RR and love it.
glad to see the WR back in action!
I miss seeing the wr. I've got a 2010 in need of a valve adjustment and probably some upgrades/updates like yours. Good stuff as always man!
A bike that starts like a glove, cool, I think :)
Halfdead Rider yeah. That made me do the “huh?” face. Lol
Hey Chase, not sure if you didn’t include it in the video by choice or just didn’t do it, but you can’t just press the master link into place. You need to use the chain tool to rivet the pins of the master so that the plate doesn’t pop back off. Just making sure you did it right so you don’t get hurt.
Yep I did that. Probably just got cut out of the final edit. Thanks for the heads up for those that have never done a chain job before.
Pro tip. Use compressed air to pull or push grips on steering wheel.
If you use an air nozzle on the grips they go on super easy man just blow air in as you slide on so much easier
Neglected Bike Rebuild!
Very nice. I bought a 2008 WR 3 weeks ago :)
you're getting quite decent with fixing bikes (from the time I started following your work) ;). from the video, I think your chain may need a little more slack. You didn't show it, but I hope you lubed the chain.
Need to get an air impact or a longer breaker bar. And i like to use brake cleaner in an aerosol can to clean, but keep away from plastics.
Careful with that battery, Motonosity can tell you why.
what happened with it?
Yes!!!! WR250x ACTIONNNNN
I like these kinds of videos. More casual working on the bike stuff plz
Yea it was a nice change of pace from WBR and getting to work on my own thing.
The vice and table top grinder bolted to a ROLLING table #priceless
Wheelies getting better Chase, keep practicing
lol, no good wheelies were seen in this video.
chaseontwowheels they’re still better than what they used to be
Isn't the chain need a "safety pin" or sth to the place where it linked back together ?
For everyone at 16:20 who wants to know what the impact gun is: it’s Milwaukee! Love them.
That thing is easily the most clutch tool for working on bikes!
chaseontwowheels I’ve got to get one! Worked at a car dealership a few years ago and everyone who had been there a while had Milwaukee everything. I’m balling on a budget, so it’ll be a while! 😂
@@AnonDrewT don't you mean willfuckye
Did you put the washer back on the front sprocket and bend a lip back to help hold the sprocket on?
Chase you learned a lot, nice work!
why the quality of the video is 360p? i mean that's the highest! commenting on my biggest motivator of my life ! Phewww!! a big thumbs up from here.. keep up the best work.... keep inspiring the youth....
I could be wrong about bikes on this but the oil filter bolts should have been able to have just been hand tightened and been ok. But like I said I don't know about bikes. I work on cars lol
Chase did you not rivet the pins down on the master link on the new chain? It looked like you just pressed it on and didn't rivet the heads of the pins
28:05 looks like he didn't but I'm not entirely sure.
'In restrospect we should have had thick gloves on.. but we can't live in retrospect'
Amen brother.
I know I’m a bit late, but I would actually like the air filter. Just got my motorcycle liscense and my motorcycle, a 08 wr250x. It’s blue.
Sumo action is the best action :D
I don't want the K&N filter but I do want the Cobra Slip on from the WRB.
I have those grips on my FZ8. They're great compared to stock!
Love this one Chase, it's kinda relaxing :)
Chase!!!!! Please review the Honda rebel 300, I am thirteen and I would like to know if this is a good starter bike!!!!
Yay T returns in full glory! Oooo please more T videos :D
Chase, idk if you pressed the rivets but 28:05 looks like they weren't. Just trying to look out for ya man!
Dud have you ever put oil on your chain it stacks and it have a lot of rust every time you wash your bike spray with a chain cleaner and later spray it with a chain oil or use 10 w oil
Did you flair the split link on the chain? It'll just come off otherwise.
Did you lube the new chain properly Looks a little dry in the shots at the end...
Chase you might want to get a battery tender for your WR since you have other bikes to ride or else you might ruin the battery letting it go dead.
"Can you throw me the WR?" .... LOLOLOLOLOL Love you chase
Great video man, I think you still need to whack a new exhaust on that bike!
You didn't re-use the chowdered rear sprocket bolt, did you?
Sumo is life.
Hey so who else noticed the can of grizz wintergreen beneath the computer screen? Lol does chase dip?
I did this with a rear tyre change in a ten year old bike. Felt like I had a new bike and I wondered why I hadn't done it sooner.
Or @C2W you can clean the old air filter and have an easy quick swap air filter...
Did you make a clock or keychain with Tea’s chain?
hair spray is the best thing to get grips on with
I agree. I used hair spray for years on motocross bikes when installing grips. Never needed grip glue.
Chase, I've never not gotten a notification about your vids.
What tires are on the WR? also, you may want to upgrade to a 1/2in drive cordless impact by Milwaukee, you may love them even more but only for taking stuff off. don't use it to put things on.
Miss. T looks amazing after having a "spa day"
Supermoto build with a badass engine swap for season 4 WBR please chase
"starts like a glove" c2w sk18
the SUMO is back!!!!!
That intro though..."spider man, spider man, does whatever...."
Looking at that master link on the old chain, it looks like a clip style, and you lost the clip. That chain definitely would have flung off and possibly into the back of your leg.
Awesome vid&bike!
New chain oiled, right?
those lever guards can break your arm, imagine your arm sliding through while falling off...
Someone please get this man a Service Manual
When ur putting on the grips use an air compresser
1:53 “UA-cam be suckin’ as usual”
DEMONITIZED
I was just waiting for 12:26 to happens
did you lube the chain?
I do not have a 2008 WR but the first piece of the build is gonna be the air filter...? 👍🇨🇦
Why no Lock tite on the sprocket bolts?
I want the air filter!
You should paint your kickstand
We have a lot of cops that ride, but then a lot that don't play. So it's about a 50/50 gamble. PS: I'm guessing you couldn't fin the entrance to the mountain...
man that song thooo
Wait, wait, wait... @chaseontwowheels is that a new digital torque wrench?
theres a law of mechanics physics that states "Should there be an oil pan under your work space, everything shallf fall into said oil pan and everything you touch will for no reason be more difficult to hold onto" lol.
Sumo life is best life.
Missed out on the 1080p
I didn't see you oil that filter.
ALWAYS break sprocket bolts loose and tighten by the nut NEVER the bolt...and locktite...
Welcome to another episode of Chase fixing two wheels
No spark plug?
What is this model of the front fender?
Brake cleaner for lubing grips as it dries almost instantly
anybody else missing some First Ride episodes??
Don’t you have to oil the air filter
gimme that air filter
Best vlogs
Weight saving is cool but I would still stay away from those lithium batteries. Saving couple hundred grams is not worth having a fire hazard in your garage.
because nobody has gas or oil in the garage.
Oil and gas don't spontaneously combust. Check out Motonosity's channel and see what hi Li-on battery did because his R6's charging system isn't designed for it.
It’s only a hazard if u buy cheap
Are you saying that expensive lithium is more dangerous than cheap lithium? No, it's all about keeping the cells at their preferred voltage. You need a special charger for that. And bikes don't have that kind of a balancing charger. So you need to balance them with your 110V/220V charger from time to time.
Niklas no I said if u buy a cheap one it’s a hazard for that reason that expensive one come with a built in balancer
6:11 you really like Jim Carrey dontcha?
What happened to motovlogs In general?
Who let chase work on bikes?!?!??? 😂😂😂😂
